Anyone else seeing a problem with [soruce|link|nocache] syntax in 2.0? About half the time, even on one page, "nocache" is ignored and the (cache) link is created/displayed.
Rrr. nocache syntax works at another of my 2.0 sites....
Although on that site, the (brand new) test page for nocache wants to use an old stylesheet that I haven't used since 1.8, and resists all efforts to change the theme.
Oh, found the stylesheet problem: Theme control had a old category theme assignment and thought new page needed the old style for some reason. Maybe a name similarity?
Nope. New page was automatically categorized even though I have the force-category set to None.
I'm finding my wiki cache (tiki-list_cache.php) has some spam links. It'd be nice if tiki-list_cache.php indicated what wiki page the cached link is on. I can delete the cached page but apparently the wiki page's spam link is still there (somewhere). Going through wiki listpages doesn't give any clues to spamming author, etc.
When one selects to queu all forum posts, is it only supposed to apply to topics?
RightSideLeft, I thinik it should be all posts, but I recall somebody else having a problem of this not seeming to work.
yeah, it was only applying to topics when I tried...
version 1.9.11
hey is there a light version of tiki that uses less memory?
anyone there?
Brando753, there's no light version.
I'm not sure how much the memory requirement can be reduced by not activating features, etc.
The easiest solution is to find/have enough memory. ;-)
but i dont have enough memory on my webhost
is there anyway to reduce it in half or something ?
How much do you have?
i think the allow 10
Your talking about php script execution memory, right?
but all i get when i load it on there server is a white page
yes
Well, 10MB is way short of the suggested amount.
(32MB)
is there a way to shrink its requirement?
it works on my apachee server at 32 mb but not my webserver
That's sounds right.
If you try asking again in this channel in 6 or 8 hours there should be more activity.
Maybe someone has some clues. This is out of my scope, really.
Anyway, the simpler the Tiki page the better, memory-wise. Have few sql queries, etc.
well i need to remove some features that i dont need to shrink it but i need to know how to do that
It doesn't matter if the features (fles and db content) are there, if they aren't used. The memory requirement is only affected when a request is made for a page.
so what do u sugest i do?
Then the more processing is needed, the greater the memory required, as far as I know.
Ask again here when there are experts.
;(
And find a new web host.
Well, Tiki is not a lightweight program and has some minimum requirements.
lol i would like to but i havnt seen another free webhost with no adds unlimited web accounts 5 databeses 60,000 tranfer and 50,000 storage a sight
do you know a very tiki like program cause i love tiki on my local server
Maybe check this page for hosts: http://tikiwiki.org/TikiFriendlyHosts
I don't know about free hosts, but possibly....
As I said, I don't have knowledge about reducing the memory requirement, so if you can come back later, maybe somebody else can help.
I imagine any program that's "very tiki like" will also need the server resources. No free lunch.
polom polom
hey luciash!
yo gary :)
hello all :)
Is there any possible way that tikiwiki can run a skeleton on a site of 10MB and draw modules from tikiwiki.org?

I saw someone made wikisym t-shirts
yeah, I did it longer time ago on request of xavi
I want to order some t-shirts for tw people
but I fear it's too late now
ok, sure, go ahead...
.. hmmm...
when are you leaving?
... yeah, might be too late..
I will be leaving wednsday evening...
... and they usually need about two days or so..
.. so probably best would be to order the shirts to the house in porto?
I last time ordered my shirt to my hotel, too because I was too late.. ;)
yes, I will have delivered to the house
what is your size?
I think L should be my size...
I can tell you definitely in a couple of hours though...
... you wanna take those WikiSym shirts?
cause that's the same basic shirt that I have, so I can look for my size when I'm at home again.. ;)
or if you have any wishes about other colors or so - then let me know, I can do changes there still
