chibaguyIn the topbar custom code, {if $prefs.style eq "newtheme.css"}{include file="styles/newtheme/newtheme_top.tpl"}{/if} works _only_ when I'm logged in. [01:56]
In 1.9, {if $style eq "tikineat.css"...} works as a filter (used in themes.tw.o menu module, for example).
...and works consistently whether user is logged in or not.
[02:03]
***franck has joined #tikiwiki [02:06]
chibaguyI thought the $ -> $prefs. change was just a matter of syntax. But did functionality also change? [02:08]
$prefs.style gives priority to user theme preference _over_ the theme set by Theme Manager.
So I guess I need to find a better way to filter.
IOW if I choose Theme A as my personal theme pref, but Page B uses Theme B as set by Theme Manager, then Page B is displayed correctly with Theme B. But the topbar custom code filter doesn't work, and the custom code only displays if I set my user pref theme to Theme B.

However, I normally have the home page set to allow anon to view. Disabled that until the templates can be recustomized.
[13:52]
ricks99u need to add tiki_p_view to that page only [13:53]

Or I suppose I could just disable contributor information in the meantime.
[13:54]
ricks99in 2.0 u can override the contributor info on a page-by-page basis
use the "list authors by page setting" on wiki config

MacLeodAnyone know why *any* change to Admin:Features always disables feature_edit_templates and user_assigned_modules ? [14:29]
chibaguyYes, MacLeod, this one is small and simple, uses Ajax for updates without a full page refresh, etc. And messages are stored in the db so will be there if you leave and come back.
But it isn't working for me now. It worked earlier, before the 2.0 release.

MacLeodyah, ideally it should be. is that likely to happen soon, or is there a serious technical challenge with fckeditor and TW syntax?
OK, I enabled Ajax (which of course *disabled* feature_edit_templates and user_assigned_modules again), but minichat still isn't working.

chibaguyThe only problem is the address bar activity, which kind goes through a cycle even tho the page is stable.
Not really a problem, but kind of gives the site a busy feeling or something.

ParagtimI've been browsing around the different styles and on a couple there is a toolbox. It shows up in the left hand column but not in the modules section. 1st question - where do I find it? 2nd question can I move all the top icons into it. print, edit, backlinks etc. 3rd question how do close the gap between tiki-top and the columns below [15:34]

chibaguyhi sylvieg, maybe some things committed to trunk will be backported, I guess, if important enough.
Paragtim, the toolbox is in the Tikipedia theme, right?
It's the contents (box stuff, no data) of module.tpl pasted into tiki.tpl, and the page edit icons, etc. hardcoded in it, with a Smarty filter to display it on wiki pages only.

SEWilco2"Error URL cannot be accessed wrong URL or site is offline and cannot be added to the directory. " http://www.afcrossroads.com/ [20:50]
***MatWho has joined #tikiwiki [20:51]
SEWilco2It looks accessible to me, but Directory doesn't like it.
Maybe my server is having a DNS failure.
[20:51]
MatWhohi all, does anyone know how to set the <meta name="description" in the generated HTML from a WIKIPage. Ideally this should be set from the wikipage description. [20:54]
SEWilco2Hmm.. nope, not a DNS failure. Something else is making Directory not like that URL. [20:57]
MatWhooh well, back to the source code :) [20:57]

SEWilco2I see. "@$fsh = fopen($_REQUEST['url'],'r');" returned false for some reason. [21:00]

Hi Mat [21:20]
MatWhoSimmi: hi [21:20]
SimmiLogin as admin and goto the admin control panel and select the MataTags option (I presume it's still there in 2.0 - I'm still on 1.9.11)
There you can set the description metatag
[21:21]
MatWhoSimmi: I want to do this on tw.o! [21:22]
***franck has quit IRC (Read error: 104 (Connection reset by peer)) [21:22]
MatWhoSimmi: also I want it to be different on soe pages
soe=some
[21:22]
SimmiThen no can do. It must be the same sitewide. [21:23]
MatWhoSimmi: this is a priority feature request, it makes tw.o look very bad in Google [21:24]
SimmiOur favourite words for the day are Custom Headers. Then it must pull the metatag info from somewhere - perhaps a tracker :-)
There is no where in the page info in the database that stores metatags on a page by page basis.
[21:25]
MatWhoSimmi: wel it would be easier to just put the page description in as the header [21:26]
sylviegthre is page selector field in trunk - but the propagation in the meta are not yet done [21:27]
SimmiWell there you go.. [21:27]
***franck has joined #tikiwiki [21:27]
MatWhosylvieg: sorry what is a page selector? [21:28]
sylvieglook in doc.tw.org - my ff is dead- can not give the url [21:28]
Simmisylvieg: Sorry, can't find it.. [21:31]
MatWhosylvieg: ok so i understand page trackers! How does this help get the header fields set with the page description? [21:32]
sylviegthe page is ((user/Group/IP/Page - Selector tracker field))
I told you - it is a beginning
[21:33]
MatWhosylvieg: small things make great beginnings :) [21:34]
sylviega tracker that can collect info on a page - but nothing to reinject in the html .... it is just a idea .... perhaps it will be the way to do it - perhaps npt [21:35]
Simmisylvieg: I would like to know more about what you are talking about. Could you explain again how I can get to ((user/Group/IP/Page - Selector tracker field)) ?
Got it...
