Hello. I need help. I am using twist theme. The top bar is not displaying my particular menu (default tikiwikimenu is displayed). I have modified feature_topbar_id_menu row in tiki_preferences db table and feature_topbar_id_menu entry in lib/setup/prefs.php file. I cleared Modules cache and browser cache (I am not sure about all this, I am just trying). Some advice will be really welcome. Regards I must precise I am moving from 1.9.11 to 2.1 walte1, so the problem is with 2.1? Did you specify your menu id on the Look & Feel page? No file editing, etc. is necessary. (The site identity process is a lot simpler and easier in Tiki 2+. chibaguy: I had completly missed the Menu ID: entry in look and feel page. I am going to try this. Thanks It works !!! Again thanks very much. Sure, post again if any other problems. By the way: Is Twist a stable theme ? I am using tikiwiki in an couple of web sites (you are doing great work ;) I had always used default theme (except for one site where my 'client' preferred twist. In fact I am doing charital support). I am planning to recommend tikiwiki for a new site. In order to minimize presentation-support chores I dare if is it better to use one of 'packaged' themes (darkroom, mose, damian, etc). Any advice i I think it's as stable as the others. I intend to keep it up to date. Many of the older themes in the package have been more or less neglected, and will be dropped in the next major release (Tiki 3, planned for next March). Thanks again. I've tried to standardize how things are done in these new themes as much as possible, to make upgrading them easier. Hopefully they'll stay compatible with the core files. You're welcome. Once again: In 1.9 in order to display a image in top of the pafe we had modified directly in twist.css : "BACKGROUND-IMAGE: url(twist/tikilogoacis.png); WIDTH: 831px; HEIGHT: 241px". Are a better way of getting this done in 2.1 ? The intention/design is to use the Look & Feel logo option, in Twist as in the other themes. But maybe some stylesheet editing might be needed to adjust margins, etc. Your logo image seems to be pretty large, so I wonder if it replaces a Twist image. (If the L & F logo option, etc., doesn't work, of course the custom code box can be used to put divs and images or whatever in instead.) The header image, etc. is done different in Twist for 2, than in the earlier version. This is to allow the page to widen without the theme breaking, as happened before. (I notice differences with Twist at themes.tw.o (running Tiki 2.2alpha) and zukakakina.com (Tiki 2 or so), so need to figure out what's going on.) (header background and right column/margin alignment) I should emphasize: a new method is used for the header images in Twist, compared to the version for Tiki 1.9, so customizations for 1.9 won't work as-is for 2. chibaguy: Thanks again. You are right : The image is quite large and hides the menu. I am near to leaving now. Presentation chores takes too much time for me (I have not succeded this morning to get a workable version of the site updated to 2.1, I will continue later or tomorrow starting by reading carefully your advices about margin, alignement , custom box , etc). Well, try a trimmed-down logo, just big enough to contain your identity info, and use the Look & Feel logo option. See how that works. -- my suggestion.. hi I am having small problem in tikiwiki menus can anyone help? join.pk. top horizontal menu appear fine in IE but in firefox it appears over button DavidHenry: lemme have a quick look thanks anyways guys, i solved it using csshack in style sheet DavidHenry: still "Popular pages" link appears wrong in FF3 yes fixing that DavidHenry: nice site btw :) thanks :) tiki helped us deploying what would had took years to develop on our own very cool another thing we wish to do is to make login box different style but its calling same module.tpl is there a way we can change tpl for this login box only? yep, just copy that tpl to your templates/styles/theme/modlues/ folder templates/modules/mod-login_box.tpl or somthing like that ok let me try thanks Do we have a pdf generator no, not any more Thanks as i read the pdf generation was unstable the docs advice to use client side pdf printer drivers (i miss the feature though) I was hopeful that there would be a way to save files to pdf (for onward email to custards) in former versions there was (at least i think it was) Just my luck - are any of the mods worth looking into? in 2.0 release notes the feature is mentioned, but stroke through mods in general? or for pdf? Look through admin mods inside the software found fpdf http://doc.tikiwiki.org/Tikiwiki+2.0#23_PDF_generation if you can get fpdf to work, i'd be glad to know :-) I'll have a play later and let you know good luck!
