mlubin	no i last used in it in 1.10, i was working with an it company and tried to get tikiwiki adopted at one of our clients i almost sold them on it but some of the ui stuff was just too complicated for the people who were going to be using it anyways, i liked the project so I thought I might contribute, be good experience for me does anyone use a good svn gui client for the mac? chibaguy	I was helping to get an organization together, software devs and hardware guys, etc., for online collaboration.... We tried twiki first, then settled on Tiki. That organization died, but I kept my interest in Tiki.	[05:20]
mlubin	i tried to get tiki deployed at biotech start up that wanted a wiki... they bought a $6000 java thing instead haha i'd like to use the experience i gained from there feedback to make the product better and more usable	[05:21]

chibaguy	Yep. Check http://themes.tikiwiki.org if you didn't already. Also a designer is reportedly working on a new default theme, for the next major release (next March).	[05:23]
mlubin	wow some major improvements from when i was lookin into tiki, back in july or so	[05:25]
chibaguy	There's a lot of improvement under the surface, in the templates, etc. As that has stabilized, it's been easier to get new themes out. I've got a bunch in various stages. So there's a lot of improvement happening on all levels.	[05:25]

chibaguy	It's a good time to get involved. Yep, I guess people had different priorities when those were designed. like functionality first.	[05:26]

chibaguy	It's useable, but maybe there are some issues, especially if you want to use wysiwyg and regular wiki syntax at the same site. I think if you stick to one editor or the other, it's pretty smooth.	[05:30]

Paragtim	go to groups / registered / permissions find and check tiki_p_view. There are only 2 perms for structures and they are edit and watch. viewing structures is the samea as wiki pages	[09:55]

Paragtim	What I think you are doing is trying to create a bespoke menu only for a group. This is done through admin / menu / create	[10:06]

Paragtim	As jane you have a full structured student menu. If one can see it (jane) and not bob it must be permissions Look at the permissions for the Student Menu and see if you have enabled permission there	[10:08]

Paragtim	I had a similar problem with the db when i upgraded and was advised to run the scripts from the version before my current version. It seemed to work for me. The number of "errors" on the upgrade fell off considerably	[10:25]
