Well, in Ohia the icon appearing is controlled by .box:hover in the css file.
(I used to use the module titles for flipping but decided to conform and use the icon since it gave a visual clue that flipping was possible.)

Have a look at the Simple theme files. Simple uses the module title for flipping.

Well, this isn't as cluttered looking as neat, and a lot of what I don't like about neat is in the css and template files, not necessarily visible on the web page.
also I kinda screwed up the text color in the menus, it's meant to be darker ( and it was at some point :D )

leons007, there's an upgrade package that just contains the changed files. These need to replace the older ones, so you can install (ftp or copy) them onto your existing installation. And run tiki-install.php.

I am worried that it will "default" some of the settings that I was so happy about for my final balance
the upgrade script shouldn't touch your settings or content.
But you should backup your db just as a precaution.

On another topic: Hmm, "Find" form has sprouted a bunch of new CSS classes. Is this really necessary? Now the input submit is by itelf in a div that has two classes? I wonder what layout/style problem made this necessary.
Oh, I guess it's not new. I just didn't come across them earlier.
Apparently the classes are in anticipation of a need, came with the conversion from table layout of the find form.
But while I'm ranting, I wonder why a search form looks like: Find [________] [Find]  -- (label, text input, button)

I don't want to screw up this 2.0 -> 2.2 upgrade... Any advice on what script I should choose if any?

Maybe there aren't db changes from 2.0 to 2.2.
release notes said that one doesn't need to upgrade db, but it confused me somewhat...
everything looks ok, except that size of headings of my pages became small for some reason...
ah, I see (looking at the install page), the secdb options I think are for something else.
Yeah, there's a change in the page title code.
Check the "breadcrumbs" option on the Look & Feel admin page.
You may need to turn it off or on or set the location to none, etc.
Also, be sure to clear your caches.

hmm... I didn't modify anything in the .css actually - I just added a few changes for .tpl
may be that's where the diff is...
tiki-showpage.tpl changed from 2.0 to 2.2, and this may affect the appearance in themes that aren't modified accordingly (in their css file).

yep - that was it... tiki-show_page.tpl - I made a change there (may be not the best place) to move those (to me irritating) icons of "print", "edit" etc. from the top of the page to the bottom

well, worked for me, otherwise that would be a problem
if I remember correctly, the big issue is that the result google provides you back is an URL... so if you want to do anything with it in relation to tiki, you need to figure out what it points to... and that's mostly brittle
