lizi: Hi. Anybody knows how the moduleflip works ?
chibaguy: Hi lizi. Sure, you click the icon and it closes, click it again and it opens. Easy. ;-)
lizi: Hi chibaguy
you know I am working on a theme
which I based on ohia
(and it looks awesome already :D )
chibaguy: yep
lizi: except it seems I broke this feature in an aerly stage (somehow)
I want to restore it
It doesn't seem to be a problem within the css
chibaguy: Did you modify the module template?
***: Caarrie is now known as Caarrie|sleeping
lizi: module template ?
I modified slightly one tpl
chibaguy: module.tpl
?
lizi: nope
chibaguy: When you say broke, what happens? Nothing when you click the icon?
lizi: the icon doesn't actually appear
also, i like it this way
I don't want to click on an icon, i want to click on the title itself
(to flip the module)
(I mean the box/div that contains the title)
chibaguy: Well, in Ohia the icon appearing is controlled by .box:hover in the css file.

chibaguy: (I used to use the module titles for flipping but decided to conform and use the icon since it gave a visual clue that flipping was possible.)
lizi: yes I know, mine is the original code
***: SEWilc1 has joined #tikiwiki
chibaguy: Have a look at the Simple theme files. Simple uses the module title for flipping.
(or even use the files, as needed)
lizi: you said ohia has a custom module.tpl to display that icon ?
coz' i don't have it :D
chibaguy: No, it uses the default module.tpl.
lizi: hmm i wondered what screwed up then
hey you know where i can upload an image and not register ?
I want to show you what has been done
anway, glad to see you like it (it kinda looks like neat, and you said you didn't like it :D )
chibaguy: Well, this isn't as cluttered looking as neat, and a lot of what I don't like about neat is in the css and template files, not necessarily visible on the web page.
lizi: also I kinda screwed up the text color in the menus, it's meant to be darker ( and it was at some point :D )
lol, so it's the code you don't like, not the theme :D
chibaguy: (when you use a menu other than the default, the page won't be spread so wide.)
well, both
lizi: haha
chibaguy: but like I said, yours looks a lot better (more modern and cleaner, etc.) than neat.

leons007: Hi everyone. Anyone has a link with instructions on how to upgrade from 2.0 to 2.2?
chibaguy: leons007, there's an upgrade package that just contains the changed files. These need to replace the older ones, so you can install (ftp or copy) them onto your existing installation. And run tiki-install.php.
leons007: thanks. do I have to run tiki-install.php?
I am worried that it will "default" some of the settings that I was so happy about for my final balance
chibaguy: the upgrade script shouldn't touch your settings or content.
But you should backup your db just as a precaution.
leons007: thanks chibaguy
I'll give it a shot
chibaguy: ok
On another topic: Hmm, "Find" form has sprouted a bunch of new CSS classes. Is this really necessary? Now the input submit is by itelf in a div that has two classes? I wonder what layout/style problem made this necessary.
Oh, I guess it's not new. I just didn't come across them earlier.
Apparently the classes are in anticipation of a need, came with the conversion from table layout of the find form.
But while I'm ranting, I wonder why a search form looks like: Find [________] [Find] -- (label, text input, button)
leons007: HI chibaguy
still there? I am now on the upgrade page and it says: "Update database using script: ". I had tw 2.0, the options it gives me are:
tiki-secdb_2.0
tiki-secdb_2.1
tiki-secdb2.2
I don't want to screw up this 2.0 -> 2.2 upgrade... Any advice on what script I should choose if any?
or should I just "Lock Installer and enter Tiki"?
PS|bot: SVN: Commit by chibaguy :: r 15275 /trunk/templates/find.tpl: [FIX] Redundancy of terms eliminated and now consistent with main search form.
chibaguy: Hmm, let me try to find some info....
leons007: ok
chibaguy: I think just lock installer and enter Tiki.
If you experience any problems, you can always run the installer script again.
(I mean run it the first time.)
Maybe there aren't db changes from 2.0 to 2.2.
leons007: release notes said that one doesn't need to upgrade db, but it confused me somewhat...
everything looks ok, except that size of headings of my pages became small for some reason...
chibaguy: ah, I see (looking at the install page), the secdb options I think are for something else.
Yeah, there's a change in the page title code.
Check the "breadcrumbs" option on the Look & Feel admin page.
You may need to turn it off or on or set the location to none, etc.
Also, be sure to clear your caches.
leons007: caches under admin?
or in my browser
chibaguy: Under admin
leons007: and how do I know whether my installation went through - is there some feature that is obviously fixed / introduced in 2.2?
chibaguy: The version number is displayed on the Admin > General page.
leons007: yep, 2.2 - thanks... I don't have breadcrumbs turned on... And I was using my own .css I wonder what happened there with the size of page heading for me...
chibaguy: Uh, the class changed, maybe from h1.pagetitle a to h1 a.pagetitle -- something like that.
leons007: forgive my ignorance... where do I fix that then?
chibaguy: If you use this, you're covered: h1.pagetitle a,
h1.pagetitle a:visited,
h1.pagetitle a:hover,
a.pagetitle,
a.pagetitle:visited,
a.pagetitle:hover
In your theme's stylesheet.
leons007: the odd thing is that if I edit page and say "preview" it looks fine, but if I save it, the heading goes down in size... I'll do the diff on my .css to see what I've done - I don't remeber anymore
chibaguy: Apparently the class is different in the preview. I didn't check that.
leons007: hmm... I didn't modify anything in the .css actually - I just added a few changes for .tpl
may be that's where the diff is...
chibaguy: tiki-showpage.tpl changed from 2.0 to 2.2, and this may affect the appearance in themes that aren't modified accordingly (in their css file).
PS|bot: SVN: Commit by chibaguy :: r 15276 /mods/trunk/themes/ (17 files in 17 dirs): [ENH] findtable classes added; input made inline, bottom margin added.
chibaguy: er, tiki-show_page.tpl
leons007: yep - that was it... tiki-show_page.tpl - I made a change there (may be not the best place) to move those (to me irritating) icons of "print", "edit" etc. from the top of the page to the bottom
I'll need to merge my change with the change that happened between 2.0 -> 2.2
when I am more awake :)
i, personally, have never understood why to have a link to a page that you are already viewing? seems odd (to me, anyway)
sylvieg: and why the reset is only on the find...
ricks99_: currently, the only way to "unfind" is to do a new find with null value. very counterintuitive
if I select an initial ... I have no reset button...

sylvieg: I agree about the need of this feature - but your implemantation ... does not convince me'

***: nikhilodeon__ is now known as nikhilodeon
NefariousC: (Which is good! I *have* had to put out a fire with a fire extinguisher; and it leaves a dusty coat of crap on everything for months thereafter)
SEWilco2: A bachelor would call it a minor soup.
dthacker: agreed. epic would have required deployment of equipment and manpower.

SEWilco2: A TikiWiki kitchen would have only required configuration of omitted safety options, configuration of same, and adding content on stove.
Of course, you already had content of water on the stove, so you were well prepared.
NefariousC: Heh heh heh.
SEWilco2: Grr. "Multimedia" feature is useless in 2.1 because the required "url" parameter becomes "u<x>rl".
dthacker: lovely bug, that

sylvieg: lphuberdeau_: :-) I like your answer...
lphuberdeau_: the attachment you mean? :)
sylvieg: I do not remember much..
... the question - was it working?
lphuberdeau_: well, worked for me, otherwise that would be a problem
if I remember correctly, the big issue is that the result google provides you back is an URL... so if you want to do anything with it in relation to tiki, you need to figure out what it points to... and that's mostly brittle
sylvieg: .. so I know there was the google summer code with sphynx -.. what mozilla decided to have?
.. I read in the doc that it can be an xml stuff
lphuberdeau_: may be, I didn't follow-up
sylvieg: nkoth3: ???????????
lphuberdeau_: yeah, but pointing to the resource is an url
basically, the code I attached does the XML parsing stuff and tries to find the right tiki object
sylvieg: .. perhaps I did not go enough deep
lphuberdeau_: goal was mostly to find the tags we knew about it and then find related elements
kind of worked on my dataset, but was early in the SUMO project, so the dataset was small
sylvieg: will have a look - even if my customer that is pissed off mysql search - wants an opensource solution - and ready to invest - if it is going somewhere..
thx lph
lphuberdeau_: I should hear more about sphinx in two weeks from now
***: danopia has quit IRC (Network is unreachable)
sylvieg: alexandre sent me all the files
are you in charge to commit back to tw?
.. my problem with sphynx is that it is only a batch
indexation
lphuberdeau_: who? about what?
sylvieg: people do not like that
nkoth3: hi
sylvieg: :-)
nkoth3: what is sumo using for search - finallly
nkoth3: i have now to implement the stuff the student did
which is based on Sphinx
sylvieg: implement? did he finish the job?
nkoth3: https://wiki.mozilla.org/Support:Search_Implementation
do you want me to put the zip file with his code somewhere?
i can do that
sylvieg: I think alexandre gave me all the links
but I am sure it is before bugs fixing
... I do not like the batch indexation in sphynx
nkoth3: yeah, iwe haven't start bug fixing et
yet
sylvieg: - I am wondering if - if I spend sometimes - I must investigate the lucene/ zend solution
i like lucene..
but every information you have nelson on the search - I can do perhaps something - one of my old customer is happy with tw - but not the search..
and they want everything committed back to tw

-: sylvieg is dreaming about her old job in France - it was to do a natural language interface to lucen or other search engines - but nothing was open source..
NefariousC has no love for lucene d:
sylvieg: why?
-: sylvieg needs to tell never test sphynx
SEWilco2: "Multimedia" u<x>rl workaround: URL rewrite in .htaccess to change "multiplayer.swf?hack=" to "multiplayer.swf?url=". :-(
sylvieg: the only reproahI know about lucene - is that the community is so actuive
without the typo...
I thought the <x> was fixed... whisch release?
SEWilco2: sylvieg: Without the "reproahI" or "actuive" typo?
sylvieg: 2.1.

NefariousC: (Maybe lucene is better now? When I used it, when the index got corrupt, it took a couple days to reindex; and it took a bunch of arguing and hoop jumping to index what we wanted in the first place..)
