Chuckg: What version? Chuckg: I don't recognize what "Toolbar" refers to, but someone who knows is likely to want to know what version of TikiWiki you installed. The top of the Admin > General page should show the version, if it is a recent version. 2.2 sorry, was out for lunch .actually WYSIWYG editor doesn't even try to come up when creating a new article. But when edit the home page it tries to come up and gives that error, both in firefox and IE polom I'm gonna try a fresh reinstall I guess Ok I think there is something I'm missing here, I just reinstalled 2.2 and enabled WYSIWYG, but it's not showing up when I go to create an article anyone? hi all @nobudy: in 2.x, wysiwyg is for wiki only -- not articles so I can't use a WYSIWYG editor with articles? not in 2.x. however i *think* site-wide wysiwyg is in 3.x I think tiki might not be right for what I'm trying to do, essentially I'm trying to use it as a regular website creation tool and I don't want visitors creating or editing anyting anything* I just like the ease of themes and administration then simply dis-allow anonymous editing. u can easily use tiki to build a read-only site wysiwyg is important and I'm trying to copy already created HTML pages into tikiwiki is 3x in beta? is it available for dl? http://dev.tikiwiki.org/download and that wouldn't be a good idea to use on a production server, but what I'm trying to do it should be fine with correct? 2 be honest, i dont know. 3.x is still in development, so ymmv no harm in trying, tho... remember to backup first :) maybe I'll wait a bit then, there isn't anything to backup really, all my backups are made of the previous site, but thanks I think I'll just try a normal CMS for a while, maybe I'll try jaws, but I really like tiki well... there was a lot of work added in 3.x I don't doubt it, I don't need much really for what I'm doing I am going through the steps to get the sourceforge account and an account at tikiwiki (tikiwiki is lagging in sending me an account confermation email )... but I have a question or two. Is this an appropriate place to ask? Welcome to the official Tikiwiki English Irc channel, Please just ask your question, dont ask to ask, someone will reply if and when they know the answer. Welcome again and please stay awhile Welcome to the official Tikiwiki English Irc channel, Please just ask your question, dont ask to ask, someone will reply if and when they know the answer. Welcome again and please stay awhile OK then... here goes... In playing with setting up my first tikiwiki site I found 2 bugs with adding RSS feeds (external content) to a wiki page. I have fixed them, and am trying to complete the steps to get a tikiwiki.org account so I can post bug reports and suggest the fixes. anyone here responsible for the tikiwiki site? I have yet to receive an email confirmation for my tikiwiki account. 2nd question, is this an appropriate place to discuss the bugs and the fixes (are there any developers here), or should I save it all for a bug tracker? bburrowes: Many of the people here are developers. They're scattered across several time zones and might be AFK. How about I post my bug description and fix and ask my question... and if it isn't appropriate to this forum someone can flame me :-) Basically... first problem is with an rss feed from a provider that redirects their rss feed url. This wasn't handled properly in the http_request made from lib/tikilib.php. (BTW: I am using 2.2) bburrowes: Please open a tracker item for your bug. ok
