   mib_union: can someone here tell me what the problem is on setting up access for File Directories in the latest version of tikiwiki..  I am trying to design a site and got it pretty well handle on it except the permmissions are not working right for the FILE directories

   <br> Yet if I log in as registered user,  I DO not see the files
   <br> I found out I can manually type the address as a re gistered user and I can get to the folder.

   mib_union: Latets version 2.2
   <br> I have 7 of the 12 options checked
   <br> the options not checked are
   <br> admin file directores
   <br> assign permisision
   <br> the batch uploads
   <br> and the edit galley file
   <br> every thing else is checked
   <br> but if the "registered" user goes to the file directory,  they dont see the files

   <br> but .. can manually type the folder directory in the url and it works

   SEWilco2: If that file gallery has any Categories, check the permissions on those categories.
   mib_union: No catergories yet for that .. I am building a brand new web site /tiki site and I just  put 2 different folders with 2 different files up.
   <br> I got the other parts of the site working like i want or pretty sure I do .. just this file directory is throwing me for a loop.  I want registered to see it but not anonymouse,  If when I am putting the files up and check the part make available to public it shows to all.
   <br> and when I am putting it up I also have it check, make available to non admin users which I assume is the code that makes it based on permissions

   cnd: Anyone know if tikiwiki is capable of "replication"?  So (for example) I can run 2 servers (eg: one inside a school LAN, and another on an external web-hosting-account), and updates to one or the other (or either) get applied to the other(s) automatically ?

   cnd: One more quickie... on a fresh install of 3.0b0 - the WYSIWYG editor doesn't work - (I click "Use wysiwyg editor" - but it just shows the "normal" editor, with the tab at the top now saying "Use normal editor").  I have enabled it in the settings. I don't see any errors in the logs or anything either.  How do I get FCKeditor to work ?

   SEWilco2: <u>cnd</u>: mb_internal_encoding() is documented in php.net as being a Multibyte String function.
   <br> <u>cnd</u>: "mbstring is a non-default extension" says php.net.  Check how to install or enable it in your PHP installation.
   <br> <u>cnd</u>: I don't know anything about FCKeditor other than in general terms.  Sounds like it isn't starting, so check web server error logs and FCKeditor installation documentation for hints.

   cnd: Hmm - making tw3 unuseable unless customers recompile PHP to enable a non-default feature sounds like an ideal way to make it impossible for 90%+ of anyone to be able ot use tw3 ?
