WhoWhatWhen
spoonypjkActually what I thought was inconsistent behaviour between the editors kindof makes sense.
I had been using mediawiki style? [ ] for internal links.
whereas tikiwiki uses (( )) I see.
but still supports [ ]
(although the wysiwyg doesnt render [ ], which is no big deal).
Okay Ive got to idle now to mow the lawns hah :)

[] is external/non-wiki links in Tiki

chibaguyirahul, yes, I think so. I got an email from a mentor to look over a proposal, anyway.
spoonypjk, you need to use syntax like menu id=1 css=y.
There are docs here: http://doc.tikiwiki.org/tiki-index.php?page=menus#How_to_Set_up_a_CSS_menu_in_progess_ regarding Tiki 2.*
But there seems to be quite a lot of tinkering needed to get them to work in that version (CSS editing, etc.)

chibaguylq_947, normally no changes need to be made in apache, for Tikiwiki. As long as Tikiwiki is in the apache web directory....
Can your apache serve ordinary html files ok?
[11:15]
lq_947ok
what we have to do for not found page when i type "localhost/tiki/tiki-install.php?
page not found
yaa its working fine
[11:17]
chibaguyYou're sure the url is right, for tiki-install.php ?
There's nothing special about Tikiwiki's files. If they are in apache's htdocs, and if the url to them is correct, then apache should serve them.
[11:21]
lq_947i type url as it is given in the manul

chibaguyYes, with emphasis on "sort of" :-) [12:04]
HansiWhat about 4.0? :-) [12:04]
spoonypjkhah.
spoonypjk ponders if he should be brave.
[12:04]
chibaguyThe code that will be 4 hasn't really diverged much from 3 yet.
Or else is in experimental branches and not brought to trunk yet.
[12:05]
Hansinope, that's my impression too, I'm runinng a 3.0 and a 4.0 test site, and I feel they are very similar
...and I'm about to put one of my 3.0 sites in production, been a very trouble free experience thus far
[12:05]
chibaguyYou can look at http://dev.tikiwiki.org/tiki-index.php?page=Release30process for problems.
One variable for the dev and doc sites is that they were also moved to a new server, which added extra things to sort out.
I think for a live site running code that's changing every day, it's good to have a test site to do updates on first.
To make sure revisions are working ok.
[12:06]
spoonypjkYeah. Hmm, reading through the list of 3.0 problems at the moment :). seems nothing too ridiculous.. but maybe enough to run into the odd problem here and there on a live site.. [12:11]
HansiNot sure I'll be doing that, it's just a personal homepage, so if something breaks or doesn't work, it's not that big of a problem [12:12]
chibaguyTiki 3 would be great for that.
even at this stage
[12:15]
spoonypjkMaybe if they updated the admin icons I'd be swayed :) [12:19]
chibaguywell, if you know of any that can be used license-wise.... :-) [12:21]
spoonypjkActually I dont mind the admin icons all that much. It's only the way they get rendered once you click on one of them and you get the row of the smaller version of them along the top.
On the main screen where they are they large versions they look quite nice and well rendered.
