Actually what I thought was inconsistent behaviour between the editors kindof makes sense.
I had been using mediawiki style? [ ] for internal links.
whereas tikiwiki uses (( )) I see.
but still supports [ ] 
(although the wysiwyg doesnt render [ ], which is no big deal).

spoonypjk, there's syntax when assigning the menu, like in a module.
actually in Tiki 2, I don't think it works very well. In branch 3, suckerfish works pretty well.

spoonypjk, you need to use syntax like menu id=1 css=y.

But there seems to be quite a lot of tinkering needed to get them to work in that version (CSS editing, etc.)

lq_947, normally no changes need to be made in apache, for Tikiwiki. As long as Tikiwiki is in the apache web directory....

There's nothing special about Tikiwiki's files. If they are in apache's htdocs, and if the url to them is correct, then apache should serve them.

nope, that's my impression too, I'm runinng a 3.0 and a 4.0 test site, and I feel they are very similar
...and I'm about to put one of my 3.0 sites in production, been a very trouble free experience thus far

One variable for the dev and doc sites is that they were also moved to a new server, which added extra things to sort out.
I think for a live site running code that's changing every day, it's good to have a test site to do updates on first.

Actually I dont mind the admin icons all that much. It's only the way they get rendered once you click on one of them and you get the row of the smaller version of them along the top.
On the main screen where they are they large versions they look quite nice and well rendered.

Hansi, no but there's potential. The file galleries are being revamped for use with images also, so maybe EXIF info can be added some way.
That would be *very* nice, for me this is at the moment the one showstopper which makes me still use Gallery for my pics instead of tikigallery

macleus: I havent looked at how to use templates yet.. but an alternative could be to use a "tracker" and create all the fields in that..
