Do you have files that have been created in templaets_c? templates_c Yep, 5 strange files and 'index.php' so at least smarty is working... are you sure you have no corrupted files or missing files only if the original .zip was corrupted somehow It looks quite irrational for me. Everything is working but there are no result.. The are 2 same issue on this week in the forum. Beestje: did you check your setup? last i heard of this issue it was not an issue with tw but with the host setup are these relative url's generated in the wiki page code themselves or are they defined somewhere? i just did a standard wamp install and put tikiwiki in the root www dir (c:\wamp\www) hence this is only a windoze issue and not an issue with tw ricks99: is tiki installed in the root www dir? c:\wamp\www\trunk\ k installing in subdir now mmmmm in a subdir, all links are fine when tiki's in the root www dir, they're messed up :) nice... :/ so according to all of you it's a windoze thing? @Beestje: look at your DOCUMENTROOT definition in httpd.conf i think, if you want to run directly in the root, need to remove the final "/" k, i'll give it a try :) nope, still gives the /\/ thing after the hostname Beestje: sure it's a Windoze bug ! :-p luciash: you mean windoze is a bug ;) are these problems due to using windows IIS web server? I use wamp with not much trouble. ricks99 is a masochist ;) well, these problems are under wamp when tiki is set up under the root directory and i hate windows as well, but currently my linux server's power supply is broken, my new imac hasn't arrived yet so I have to endure the use of my windoze box 'case it works perfectly for me :) my local svn is in htdocs/TikiWiki/Trunk/ etc., + several other tikis under htdocs/ but your tiki isn't in the c:/wamp/www dir :) no problem with paths and urls anyway. why not just put it in a subdirectory, then create an alias directly to it? good point, and will do... but I'll have to investigate a bit further, because a lot of potential users will want to set it up for an intranet in the root dir of their windows webby server well, I just use it for local testing, so don't even have a www dir. and i see at least 5 bugs in the system concerning this problem go Beestje go! ;-) @Beestje: y, but when they unarchive the ZIP, it creates a subdirectory automatically yep, and then i move it and it should still work, like magic fortune cookies :D why move it at all? because i like to move things :) lol you should see my desk... my job as a systems administrator consists of moving things around my desk all day long :P so I do the same on my servers so I appear to be very busy ;) its hard work looking that busy, eh? you have no idea especially since i lost my script that moved my cursor and random windows across my desktop :) hehe tikiwiki: 03nyloth * r19097 10/trunk/ (3 files in 2 dirs): [FIX] new Smarty 2.6.25 needs session_start before constructor, Smarty_Tikiwiki needs to call parent constructor (setup_smarty.php and tiki-installer.php) - many thanx to sept_7 but the strange thing is that under 2.4, all those links do work when I put tiki under the root www dir :/ that triggers a little switch in my brain that it isn't just a windows bug (unfortunately) Beestje: people have reported this before in this channel way before 3.0 even went into beta if it was not a windoze bug it would be fixed already i know, and it's weird... most of them seem to be having an issue when clicking on the logout button and getting the weird slash at the end. i remember they reported it even in 1.9.x iirc i'm not so sure, Caarrie; not many tiki devs work on windows or use ms browsers even. the \/\ backslash thing only appears to me for 3.0 .... same wamp config as my 2.4 install chibaguy: i would not think this would be a broswer issue though no, i don't think so either. i'm just saying tiki problems with windows users have tended to not get much attention from devs. @Beestje: r using vista? if so, you may need to adjust your virtual directory/security settings crap... it is different in IE ... there I get "//" instead of "/\/ hmm nope, not running vista out of ideas. sorry. works 100% for me :) maybe time to try easyphp instead ? lol well, it works for me as well when i put tiki in a subdir, but not in the www root ;) what php & apache ver? wampserver 2.0h, apache 2.2.11, php 5.2.9-2, MySQL 5.1.33 you did replace the default /www/index.php right? yup no idea :( well, my 10 hours of working are over... gonna go home and try to put some more time in it ;) cya all l8r tikiwiki: 03sylvieg * r19098 10/trunk/lib/wiki-plugins/wikiplugin_tracker.php: [MOD]tracker: prefills user and group selector tikiwiki: 03nyloth * r19099 10/trunk/styles/coelesce.css: [FIX] coelesce theme: IE6 was freezing due to top search bar '.nohighlight' CSS definition tikiwiki: 03nyloth * r19100 10/branches/proposed/styles/coelesce.css: [bp/r19099][FIX] coelesce theme: IE6 was freezing due to top search bar '.nohighlight' CSS definition Hello all Anyone around to just chat with about a new wiki I am planing on building. I could use some back and forth to work out some details for how to do it. hi mib_l8r8atmw. Hi ricks99 i'll try to help cool, I am trying to set up a website for my universities graduate department The topic is non-linear controls, and we are doing some really cool things, but the current website is pretty bland. I have been tasked with making a new cool, attractive website in order to draw attention (and more importantly funding) for future research so far, so good :) I thought that using a wiki would be helpful because of the collaboration and ease of updating functionality. I am only going to be here for another year and I after that someone has to update the website and odds are they will have limited website skills so the wiki has some great advantages, I am just not sure about implementing a eye catching homepage with the wiki. have you seen any eye catching start pages done using the wiki functions have you seen the "Featured Tiki" sites on: http://info.tikiwiki.org/gallery1 I was actually looking for that just now. thanks some more good examples at http://twbasics.keycontent.org/Demo+Movies (look at the Faces of Tiki movie) Thanks I am looking through those now. might also way to look at http://themes.tikiwiki.org. lots of good info about creating/customing Tiki themes (skins) Yeah, I was sure I would have to end up creating a theme for the website. Just to get the look and feel right. Do you know if tikiwiki has any support for java applets? we are thinking of having some simulations running that the visitors can adjust parameters and run things like an inverted pendulum systems, which look cool Yes, I believe you can include a Java applet. I know the 3D browser uses Morcega which is a Java applet cool, I am gonna have to brush up on my applet programming. It has been a while since I did any Hello Fantoms Hello! tikiwiki: 03sept_7 * r19101 10/branches/experimental/coe/ (39 files in 19 dirs): [MRG] Automatic merge, trunk 19085 to 19099 I am really excited to start using the 3.0 version of tiki now. But I am a little scared of doing it my upgrades were very smooth (except for custom TPLs). just be sure to backup first :) yeah back up is the name of the game. it is scary how many people dont back up there stuff toctoc hi xavi :) hi ricks99 :-) did you have enough time to "digest" my proposal? twbasics -> doc.tw.o structures + dogfood theme control, etc.? y... meant to get back to you... ye,s I guessed, no hurries, take your time maybe just me, but i want to retain "overall control" for twbasics.... I do the same as much as I can while i don't mind reproducing it *.two, i will retain a copy on kc.o "overall control": you know, I suggested ways to let you do so, as a proposal y I guess that others wouldn't mind, if well explained, pros and cons, etc. true.... Well thanks for the help. I'm gonna head to lunch. I'll be around. np mib_l8r8atmw wikibooks.com? nice, but uses mediawiki... ricks99: ah, Yes, I know, wikibooks, from wiki media foundation and you'll have to deal with wiki syntax conversion, wouldn't you? among other things, y hi all, I just upgraded mine tw 2.2 to 3.0 , but when I go to tiki-install.php I got a 403 , permissions on tiki-install.php are 755 @magowiz: are all the necessary directories read/writable? magowiz: 403 is not related to permissions, afaik magowiz: shell or ftp? ftp magowiz: maybe you are not in the right directory???? are you sure everything is like when you installed 2.x? yes url? http://www.magowiz.net I put all files under www/ dir did u rename _htaccess ? magowiz: follow instructions in the documentation, please! http://doc.tikiwiki.org/upgrade2to3 Hi... I am new to Tikiwiki... Need pointers to customize login... we already have a login page... will like to use that.. and create any users in tikiwiki that don't already exist.. thanks ricks99, no , I didn't rename anything @magowiz: i'm able to access your site just fine magowiz: did you read the documentation pages about that upgrade? It looks like you didn't ... I know but tiki-install doesn't work I read that page I backed up all stuff @magowiz: check with your host. i have had (in the past) where my host disabled some php scripts for security reasons. magowiz: ok, then , 403 shows also permissions issue, it says but tiki-install.php has 755 permission set magowiz: try creating the required folders by hand what are the folders I should create ? or manual installation did you read them? @mib_6odrr7: use an external authentication method. please see http://doc.tikiwiki.org/Login+Authentication+Methods in the docs http://doc.tikiwiki.org/tiki-index.php?page=Install+by+FTP magowiz: Tikiwiki Main Directory Permissions Create any of those folders if they are missing in your installation, for whatever reason. ... this step is previous to tiki-install.php ok I'll check permissions of that folders those folders magowiz: note that some of the folders are to be set at 775, according to documentation and please, magowiz: if you see anything outdated in the documentation, please update it :-) ok... the permission indications are recoursive? I mean : 755 in a dir means that everything on it should have same permission recoursively? http://doc.tikiwiki.org/Login+Authentication+Methods page is for configuring existing methods.. any links for developing new ones? sorry, thought you said that you already had a login/authentication method in place.... some work on new CAS methods on dev.tikiwiki.org, i think.... http://dev.tikiwiki.org/External+Authentication for bugs/rfes/etc magowiz, yes for directories. Files are usually fine with 644 in most cases but specially, note the ones with 775, I would say xavi, I set permissions accordingly using the table you suggested but I still get 403 on tiki-install.php ok, magowiz, step by step. could you check the permissions of the parent folder of your tiki installation ? 750 ... I changed it to 775 but still the same issue could you check the owner and permissions of the tiki-install.php ? ricks, but magowiz says he is upgrading, so I presume everything worked in the tiki 2.x site, isn't it magowiz? yes tw 2.2 worked great check... can u run the 2.2. tiki-install.php? tiki-install.php 755 owner user1247 (which is my login) On some hosting I noticed you need rw-r--r-- to have a php executed and not rw-rw-r-- yes, that might be, good catch, sylvieg however, I'm also thinking about the installer folder, and contents, which are new in tiki 3.x compared to 2.x 644 same issue and also 775 magowiz, and can you report the permissions and owner (user and group) of the folder ./installer/ and its contetns ? 775 folder installer and also its content is set to 775 no luck also setting tiki-install.php to 777 magowiz: I would say then, proceed with the manual installation process where is the manual installation process doc ? magowiz, look for http://doc.tikiwiki.org/Documentation have a look at it (it won't hurt you invest a couple of minutes reading the table of contents) you'll see that there is a generic page for everything related to installation : http://doc.tikiwiki.org/Installation and that page has many links to many other related pages , like http://doc.tikiwiki.org/Manual+Installation pretty intuitive at the end (page names, I guess). or at least, thaat's what we all try to do... and if for you, some page is easier to remember with another name, you can create that page and add a redirect to the current page with the real documentation , or use the semantic thingy (however, haven't seen anywhere an easy doc. on how to use page aliases...) hth last suggestion, magowiz, is that you check that your server is running php 5.x. since tiki 3.0 requires it. hth (bis) I'm sure that my host runs php 5 and mysql 5 magowiz: ok. No more clues myself. Good luck with the manual installation then I think I finished with the manual installation sylvieg , ricks99 or luciash: do you now how to add site header html content in a profile? but I think that my website is now a mess so that when you install profile, that site header box is filled with that html? magowiz: a mess? the right word should be .... empty no wiki pages no file galleries does the manual installation reset all the db to his original status ? magowiz: could you please login and choose one of the updated theme styles? that is explained in the update2to3 page, at least (you said that you had read that) another hint : my usual username doesn't exist anymore did you install or upgrade? what I wanted is an upgrade if you upgraded, then your database is there updated but I looked into my mysql using phpmyadmin, the only user in users_users is admin you should upgrade the database, not just install a new one so no problem, just restore you backup from your past 2.x site, and repeat the database upgrade process ok I'll retry and update the manual+installation process, if this option is not clearly stated there, please manual+installation documentation page, I mean I think I did something wrong again importing tiki-3.0-mysql.sql to my database nope. users_users is almost empty again after importing tiki-3.0 and sec using mysql look at my home page : http://www.magowiz.net/tiki-index.php it says Congratulations This is the default HomePage for your Tiki. If you are seeing this page, your installation was successful. magowiz: you did a clean install yyou want to do an (manual) upgrade I followed the instruction in manual installation page http://doc.tikiwiki.org/Manual+upgrade ah.... that one is the one you should follow, but it's a blank page (yet), waiting for you ;-) to merge content from http://doc.tikiwiki.org/Upgrade and http://doc.tikiwiki.org/Manual+Installation and http://doc.tikiwiki.org/Install+by+ftp ;-) but the key point for you, is... are you on a linux box, mac or window$? linux box great, then, easy :-) I did write the instructions to do the manual upgrade of database not so painful in tiki 3 http://doc.tikiwiki.org/Upgrade : Alternative: Upgrading your database through shell you can folloow those steps in local in you linux box some devs use "sh doc/devtools/sqlupgrade.sh", but I haven't tried myself (I just added that line some hours ago today) so you mean : I should upgrade the database on my local machine and then import it in What I know it works, is the rest of the section: I wrote it after I succeeded doing that on a gnu/linux server, so it should work if yuo do that in your local my website ? yes, you could (1) upgrade in local, and import the resulting db in your website (phpmyadmin) ok .... I'll try it or (2) merge all sql schemas in local, and apply them to your 2.x db in your website (phpmyadmin) and please, when you succeed, you would do a big favour to the Tikiwiki community if you coud write that missing page: http://doc.tikiwiki.org/Manual+upgrade let me read better what should I do... xavi, and if I import the file named tiki_2.0to3.0.sql to my database ? magowiz: nope, that wouldn't be enough, believe me. Just check if you wish, the content of that file is not everything... (that's we need a doc. page explaining that clearly) s/is not/it's not s/that's we need/that's why we need to be honest I really didn't understand how to "merge all sql schemas in local, and apply them to your 2.x db in your website" ... easy way: open you favourite text editor (gedit, kate, mousepad...), and create a single sql file with the content (in order) of all the sql files described in that documentation page for upgrade which is equal to the steps 5 and 6 that I wrote ((5) apply tiki2to3.sql, and (6) create the all.sql) ah sorry I didn't read well the guide, now I understand, I should simply import 2to3.sql and then the big mergedschema sql , right ? yes, you got it! :-) and that should be explained also easily for windoze users.... like using a text editor and copy pasting the content in order, etc. and as a text editor, I would suggest them to use kate from kde4windows! :-) xavi, to be honest the better way in linux is to use cat Caarrie: is kwrite available under m$ windows? no idea i think so as i have it on my macbook ;) magowiz: I agree, that's why I wrote that documentation (my first time using cat, btw :-) kde4mac kde4mac! :-) interesting :-) i'm far from the mac world, but that's good to know can you use k3b or kdenlive under mac???? no idea linux is my main os ;) :-) well kde4 ;) xavi there is an error in sql syntax in all.sql error? yes phpmyadmin say it could you be more explicit, please? Hey all. My host can do MySQL 4.0 and 5.0, is there any benifet to one over the other for tikiwiki? mib_l8r8atmw: no doubt. go for mysql 5.0 using mysql 4.0 you won't be able to work well with tiki 2.0+ you need mysql 4.1+ for tiki 2.x and tiki 3.x , afaik xavi, http://dpaste.com/47945/ Ah, okay. I figured that 5.0 was the way to go, just wanted to check I have mysql 5 mib_l8r8atmw: please, spend a while in http://doc.tikiwiki.org/Ddocumentation sorry, typo, I meant http://doc.tikiwiki.org/Documentation I pasted the error in that page mib_l8r8atmw: tiki3 page, and requirements and setup, etc ok, thanks for the quick answer magowiz: I'm afraid, as far as I remember, that you'll have to keep going from there onwards.... or better, use the local upgrade of your database with the -f param ;-) that will solve the breaks at any warning or so let me try another thing that phpmyadmin produces (or use to produce to me when I used that program) mysql -uuser -p -f databasetoupgrade < all.sql In my local.php I was having 1.9 as version, also if upgraded to 2.2 , so I'll try to run 1.9to2.0 before note the "-f" param kitchen time for me, sorry bbl I've done all the instruction on my local machine and then imported the resulting db in my web hosting phpmyadmin but it still tells me on admin home :" Your database requires an update to match the current TikiWiki version. Please proceed to the installer. Using Tiki with an incorrect database version usually provoke errors. " polom magowiz: my last guess. check the your local.php file says that your database is 3.0 rodrigo_sampaio: hi :-) we have a wiki page that list all the tikiwiki wiki syntax? hey xavi xavi : $dbversion_tiki = '3.0'; magowiz: and remember to set any theme styles adataped to tiki 3 in your site (it's getting closer! :-) rodrigo_sampaio: go mw2tw importer, go! :-) what is the default tikiwiki 3.0 theme ? the one that works without problems ? magowiz: read documentation how many times did I say that today? (for instance, upgrade"2to3") "upgrade2to3", I meant rodrigo_sampaio: which projects got funded? or how does it work? I thought Google selects only some projects to be funded... but I missed themessage (if any) saying which projects became funded by GSOC 2009 rodrigo_sampaio: maybe http://doc.tikiwiki.org/wiki+syntax ? (just a guess) xavi: there was no message in tikiwiki-devel saying which projects where selected xavi, ok I set the theme to coalesce that was bundled with 3.0, the only problem seems that warning about database version.... xavi: i have put the list here http://dev.tikiwiki.org/tiki-index.php?page=Google+Summer+of+Code+2009+GSOC rodrigo_sampaio: yes, I know. I'm watching (monitoring) that page since a few days ago ;-) magowiz: that's all I know. To know more, about how can you get rid of that message, I would say... xavi: actually, is not google who select the projects, is the software community (1) do you upgrade in local (full upgrade in your linux box) (2) dump the resulting database from yuor local full upgrade and compare that with the database in your host magowiz: hth ah, and (3) update your documentation page (manual+upgrade) with your findings :-) rodrigo_sampaio: einc? but isn't there any money from Google anywhere? how Google selects which projects to fund??? xavi: google just give the money that's the point: which money did they give this year? xavi: you mean how much? I missed that message, if that was announced somewhere... (not in TAG, afaik) rodrigo_sampaio: yes, how much, and in concept of what? or who decides where is the money sent to? (to which projects I mean...) I missed all that information... xavi: now I think I understand what are you asking xavi: google select with software projects will receive the money and how many "slots" they have just curiosity, to know how do we work internally within Tikiwiki Community... xavi: they selected tikiwiki community and give us 4 slots rodrigo_sampaio: so which software projects from the announced from tw have been selected, then? ah, 4 slots xavi: yeah and how did you found out? xavi: they give US$4000 for each student hi polom xavi: the list of tikiwiki select projects is in the page http://dev.tikiwiki.org/tiki-index.php?page=Google+Summer+of+Code+2009+GSOC pkdille: ping need to talk to you ASAP about workspaces i have a problem assigning permissions to groups in tikiwiki3.0 and i don't know where to search the error rodrigo_sampaio: : is is feasibel for you to come to London or France End of June/Early July? when I add a permission to any group, eg.g anonymous i get logged off ... can anyone give me a hint where to search? marclaporte: yes, and i would love to! sui: Regis reported to me some strangeness in perms (not getting logged off), but it not working on his Mac, but it was working on my PC. Please try another browser. Or even better, another computer from another ISP rodrigo_sampaio: do you need any Visa? marclaporte: i need to now where and when as fast as possible to obtain the visa marclaporte: yes, i do same if Spain, UK or France? marclaporte: im concerned with the visa and the airplane ticket marclaporte: yes, the same marclaporte: i'll try with opera and konqueror now sui: that sounds very rare marclaporte: spain and uk rejected lots of brazilian people recently rodrigo_sampaio: : yes, we'll be creative here I hope. If Visa is rejected, your plane ticket is wasted? marclaporte: not sure, i don't exactly how those things works sui: can you reproduce using the http://tikiwiki.org/TikiLiveCD or some demo tiki 3.0 elsewhere? marclaporte: as fast as we can decide where i can start the process of getting the visa xavi: haven't tried now. it's a fresh installation on a vserver i have btw, rodrigo_sampaio, marclaporte and all realted coders: congratulations fro the projects funded at teh GSOC 2009! (thanks for the link, rodrigo_sampaio) marclaporte: and then, if we have enough time, i can buy the air plane ticket only after getting the visa poohlom rodrigo_sampaio: : can you find out what is normal visa delay? And check for flights. Probably London or Strasbourg, or both marclaporte: ok, ill check that for london and strasbourg marclaporte: i know that a air plane ticket to london is around US$1000 luciash: toooooctooooc rodrigo_sampaio: : that is reasonable marclaporte: i would need a place to stay, i can't afford the price of a hostel or something like that xavi, marclaporte: with opera it's the same. when assingning new permissions i get: "you are not logged in. go to login page" and when i click on that link and login again i get: "unknown group" sui: unknown group could be because group is no longer in URL xavi, I got it! finally! I made the upgrade copying all old website in local, with database, on my local machine tiki-install.php worked and then after a local successful upgrade I dumped the database and uploaded it to my hoster ! :D rodrigo_sampaio: yes, we'll arrange lodging for everyone. Don't worry xavi: :D marclaporte: yeah, i can see that here luciash: do you know how to set custom site header info in a profile? xavi: i guess marc knows like any other pref xavi: shouldn't be hard, it's just another pref in tiki_preferences table edit manually to figure pref name. Then, do like the others. However, if you have complex html, it may break. marclaporte and luciash: I just copied soe content from here: ... marclaporte: if i go to the gsoc tikifest my idea is, if possible, to stay for a month in europe doing my gsoc project and other tikiwiki community related issues rodrigo_sampaio: : yay! marclaporte: that depends only on having a place to stay during this period xavi: yep, better to avoid html there rodrigo_sampaio: : are you interested in i18n? I followed this aproach: http://profiles.tikiwiki.org/site_width_include&highlight=site%20header but it says there that it doesn't work xavi , I have to thank you very much for your patience and suggestions and that's what I've done so far http://profiles.tikiwiki.org/UB xavi: you can use smarty or wiki syntax rather marclaporte: yes, im interested in making the process of translating tikiwiki easier marclaporte: but i don't if this is what you have in mind In which case, report a bug/wish on http://profiles.tikiwiki.org/Profiles+Todos i checked users_permissions in mysql directly. for tiki_p_view_image_gallery the level is basic. does that mean that anonymous users can see image galleries? rodrigo_sampaio: yes, but not just interface, but mostly content magowiz: I'll be very pleased to thank you for your patience writing the missing page http://doc.tikiwiki.org/Manual+upgrade while taking care to add some instruction for windoze users :-) marclaporte: you mean http://wiki-translation.com/? yes, i'm interested on that xavi, I didn't solve the issue with manual installation, I simply done a normal upgrade on my local machine...... hm, where can I find an online demo of tw.o? www.tikiwiki.org/demo xavi: it's actually bad habit to put style tags in custom code area marclaporte: More than 5 unsuccessful login attempts have been made. An email has been sent to you with the instructions to follow. :) marclaporte: is multitiki working fine with 3.0 ? no idea marclaporte: ah, i thought you use it but trim doesn't share one tiki installation to save disk capacity, right ? correct disk space is irrelevant dude a cheap host will give you 200 Gigs of space marclaporte: not in some countries still, dude ;) LOL :-) luciash: multitiki working for me with 3.0 in subdirs xavi: nice luciash: http://doc.tikiwiki.org/MultiTiki ;-) marclaporte: actually i thought you use it on the demo site where i seen lot of ppl subdirs I updated that page with the help of others... :-) luciash: all independant Tikis xavi: great :) and they did, and improved my own defective explanation in there! wiki-way! :-):-) luciash: style tags in custom code, yes, I guessed so, but it's a test to show (if possible) a potential installation with the minimum number of clicks of a new tiki 3 site adapted to our university ;-) rodrigo_sampaio: since you'll be coming for a month, you absolutely have to make it to RMLL marclaporte: since you created that page: http://profiles.tikiwiki.org/site_width_include , do you know if this is planned to be implemented by profiles? marclaporte: what is RMLL? rodrigo_sampaio: : http://dev.tikiwiki.org/upcoming%20events xavi, doc.tikiwiki.org seems to be busy now, I take note on tomboy of the page, I'll simply point out at the procedure illustred in "Alternative: Upgrading your database through shell" , and possibly I'll extend that paragraph s/take/tool took xavi: it worked if I put all the text in the wiki page, but since this was ugly, I tried importing a wiki page (no success) rodrigo_sampaio: : also: Open Translation Tools 2009, Amsterdam, The Netherlands bbl hm, i can't reproduce this strange behaviour on an official demo page of tw.o3.0. where can i find additional informations? sui: what is your server? marclaporte: ok. That's the same that I did on that UB page at profiles.tw.o it's a vserver froom server4you.de magowiz: do you like to have my domain? btw, marclaporte, did that woman from my university ever write to you? not yet, or I didn't see or did you ever set that demo site for her? I couldn't follow up that subject... or saw and forgot :-) been so focused on 3.0 :-) sui, do you mean netsons ? yes, I know.... magowiz: what do you mean with "netsons"? soesn't tell me anything sui, it's mine hoster.... what do you mean with "do you like to have my domain? " ? ok, kitchen time. cheers magowiz: perhaps i didn t understand the question at all i thought marclaporte wants to take a look at the adress. ok , np I have to go... bye bye sui: the problem Regis had was on Linux. It strange that most people have no prob. hm, but when i think about this... its a debian 4.0 with apache2.2.X and php-5.2 pretty standard yes, all programs are installed from the repos it does not depend on the client. on a demo page i get no errors tikiwiki: 03nyloth * r19102 10/trunk/ (modules/mod-calendar_new.php tiki-calendar_setup.php): tikiwiki: [FIX] calendars modules: force modules to the month view by default. They should tikiwiki: not be affected by the view mode of the calendar feature. It was already fixed tikiwiki: for events calendar (so it's mainly a fix for action calendar), but by changing tikiwiki: value directly in _REQUEST global var, which is not needed anymore hu. rehi marclaporte: did you say anything to me? tikiwiki: 03nyloth * r19103 10/trunk/templates/tiki-admin-include-calendar.tpl: [FIX] admin calendars: Do not use A tag and 'button' class directly... smarty button plugin are made for that + fix 'Create calendar' link to go on the correct tab su| : : just that your config is not suspicious. pkdille: : ping tikiwiki: 03nyloth * r19104 10/trunk/ (6 files in 4 dirs): tikiwiki: [MOD] error notices: do not display notices / warnings for third party libs. To tikiwiki: achieve this, 'lib/setup/third_party.php' was added to define a pattern that tikiwiki: should match third party directories. This was already done for the release.php tikiwiki: script, this is why it's in a separated script to avoid code duplication. tikiwiki: SMARTY_DIR constant was also moved into this new setup file + fix some typos re-hi su|: is it fresh install or upgrade ? luciash: it's a fresh install default profile ? yes, but i activated some features su|: can you try this ? go to the assigning perms and scroll down below where the advanced feature is expand it then and try assign all perms in level basic to the group you want i finished a fresh new install just a few seconds ago- and now there are no profiles available luciash: i will do as you said . mom profiles might be not available depending on if tiki can connect to the profiles.tw.o server su|: usually i do this trick with Anonymous group after barebones default profile install i'm curious if it logs you off too mom luciash: that logged me off also .o(bad english...) tikiwiki: 03sylvieg * r19105 10/trunk/ (3 files in 3 dirs): [MOD]tracker: option to assign an item or not to the auto created group New Forum Posts: Registered users get "permission denied" when trying to post blogs in menu - http://tikiwiki.org/tiki-view_forum_thread.php?forumId=4&comments_parentId=33209 su|: hmm :-/ back luciash: mom i take aloo in /var/log/apache2/ s/aloo/a look su|: yep, just wanted to suggest luciash: thats the last entry in access.log: 87.169.124.224 - - [26/May/2009:21:04:27 +0000] "POST /%7Erosenski/ultimate/tw3/tiki-assignpermission.php HTTP/1.1" 200 6406 "http://www.nutzerverwaltung.de/%7Erosenski/ultimate/tw3/tiki-assignpermissi on.php?find=&type=&group=Anonymous&sort_mode=type_asc&advanced_features=y" "Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; de; rv:1.9.0.10) Gecko/2009042700 SUSE/3.0.10-1.1.1 Firefox/3.0.10" and theres no entry in error.log su|: sometimes the errors go to syslog but you have to specify it in your php.ini filr usually s/filr/file/ su|: do you meet all requirements for tiki 3 ? luciash: i hope :) i have apache 2.2.x, php 5.x and mysql 5.0.x what else do i need? http://doc.tikiwiki.org/tiki-index.php?page=Requirements+and+Setup&bl=y under the PHP section there'đ detailed list i cannot imagine what can cause log you off the session though i found tis page earlier and tried to meet the requirements. i disabled allow_url_fopen but the rest should be ok. su|: do you have problem with Tiki 2.4 marclaporte: i didn't tried it with 2.4 on this host Hello all Nightwork: hi i checked my php settings. they are all okay. su|: what's your session.save_handler ? hi Nightwork su|: and path ? luciash: files path = /tmp su|: maybe try temp/ instead err, temp luciash: is there a possibility to set this in my homedir or my vhost definition instead of in /etc/php5/apache5/php.ini? i set this variable globally for testing purposes you can try PHP function ini_set(); luciash: does not make any difference su|: usually apache must be restarted after php.ini changes, i don't know how about ini_set(); i can change any setting, but it's not possible to assign permissions. not in simple nor advanced mode I wonder if I can get some input. I am hoping to make something like this website http://tinyurl.com/p8cba2 using tikiwiki. Think that is even remotely possible? Doesn't have to be exactly the same just in the same ballpark i restarted apache after every edit in php.ini su|: isn't there some apache security mod which would be sensitive on the word "permission" ? :-p Nightwork: anything is possible, you just needs good skillz (flash and graphics in this case) and web designing (XHTML+CSS) of course Yeah, I think I can do it. I just was curious to get some other peoples inputs, and possibly some finger pointing in the correct direction. My goal is to get it done and submit it for one of the featured wikis *phew* i go to bed now. i will search this error tomorrow Nightwork: i'm not sure about the flash header... it goes against accessibility su|: sorry we couldn't solve your puzzle su|: c u tomorrow :\ see you :] I'm not sure I follow you luciash. I'm okay if it doesn't use flash, but I would like some roll-over effect. I would love to have a drop down menu Nightwork: yes, you follow me correctly :) do you think drop down menus will be difficult to create? nope, we have some built in, you just have to style them using CSS awesome. so often I am pleasantly surprised by what tikiwiki can do. hey all question about 3.0: When you add an image to a wikipage, is there a way to just select the image from the file gallery? It seems there is no select image button once you browse the filegals. I just copy the code in the image gallery, and paste it into my wikipage it looks something like this {img src=show_image.php?id=2} can someone point me in the direction of an article explaining how to create drop down menus? http://doc.tikiwiki.org/tiki-index.php?page=Module+Admin {menu css=y id=xx} @Nightwork: Thanks, but though I know how to do that, my users are not nearly as tech savvy. I need a button or I am going to be spending my time always answering the same question. @liquidape: I know the feeling. I wish I new a simpler way. liquidape: ask on devel list - I am pretty sure there is an option - but I do not remember .. because with wysiwyg .. you can connect to the fgal - with simple editor - I do not remember and after please update doc.tw - the guys who are doing the fgal/img do not like to doc sylvieg: thanks for the reply @sylvieg: So do I create a menu for each drop down I want, then create a module which puts those menus together, and then put the module in my 'Top Bar'? no you create one menu with all you want and you create a module or usee the look pannel with {menu css=y id=xx} http://themes.tikiwiki.org/tiki-index.php I figured out the clicking images to select them within the wysiwyg...it's not very intuitive though. You click the image icon in the fck editor, click browse to go the the fgals. Browse to the the fgal that your image is in. Now the key step: Click "Browse Images" and then select the image you want by clicking on it. There is no way to really select the image in the fgal directly...unless there is a way to default showing images instead of icons .. ask to the devel list - you will have an answer... liquidape: I told you - the guys who know are on devel list - and it is 1:35 am for them.. I did :-)
