unless the server configuration is different, or something set in Windows itself.
(but I don't know much about servers or Windows ,so everything in my setup is default, as far as I know.)

hi marclaporte
[07:37]
marclaportepolom chibaguy [07:38]
chibaguyheavenmaster, are you planning to run Tiki (as alternative to Atlassian Confluence) on your present server? Or are you just testing now, and will deploy on another public server?
(just wondering if the live site will have the same problem)
[07:39]
heavenmasterchibaguy: I do not see there any similiar case..
marclaporte: best as wiki + groupware
[07:41]
marclaporteI often get questions about tiki vs confluence, but I have no idea [07:43]
chibaguyI think the blank-page problem must be caused by a server or OS configuration detail. Tiki runs fine on my WindowsXP xampp server, so it is possible. The question is what is making the difference.
(assuming the installation is complete and the same in both cases)
[07:45]
..... (idle for 20mn)
heavenmasterOk, thnx for your help... I think I should find smth else.. [08:05]
chibaguySorry for the trouble, heavenmaster. Maybe you can check back later on. Maybe some solutions will be found.
(or there will be better docs for running on Windows)

reisedirkusYeterday I upgraded my Porsche Tiki (1.911) ;-) to the 2.4 version
Tried to update to 3.0 but released, that there is no PHP5.
After copying back the whole 2.4 directory (the DB I upgraded right after install) all file galleries are lost. No, its not right - the galleries are there, but I do not see them.
If I click at the 'Move' Button in the Galleries I can choose from all galleries I had in 1.911.
Any ideas?
[08:32]
***Caarrie|sleeping has quit IRC (Read error: 60 (Operation timed out)) [08:35]
chibaguyreisedirkus, so you need a "downgrade" install script? ;-) [08:40]
reisedirkusNot really, I want only the file galleries back
I did no DB upgrade for 3.0 - only from 1.9 to 2.4
[08:44]
chibaguyoh, I see. [08:45]
reisedirkusThe files are in the DB - from the links in the wiki I can download them, but I have no access to the File gallery functionality
I also can not create any new gallery - so the error seems to be somewhere there.
[08:46]
chibaguyapparently a problem in the 1.911 -> 2.4 upgrade? [08:48]
reisedirkusHmmm, maybe, but I had no error messages (or I ignored them ;-) ) - No I did not see any [08:48]
chibaguyDid you install the 3.0 files, and then put back the 2.4 files? [08:50]
reisedirkuschibaguy: Should I try to go back to 1.9.11 (backup and DB-dump are here) and try the upgrade again.?
Yes, I copied the 3.0 files, but the installer said that PHP5 is needed - I did not check it before, and my provider has only PHP4 (so far)
[08:51]
chibaguyI don't know. Seems like the fewer changes, the better.
I wonder if it is possible that not all the 2.4 files are in place.
[08:52]
reisedirkusSo it seems to me, that 3.0 did not change anything... [08:53]
***Caarrie has joined #tikiwiki [08:53]
reisedirkusOf course I can try to copy them again from the SF-Download there... [08:53]
chibaguyI would try that first. [08:54]
reisedirkusMaybe, I will start with this - copying the 2.4 again and then go back to 1.9.11 and start from the scratch. [08:54]
chibaguyAssuming the database wasn't touched by the 3.0 installer (probably true), then the difference would be in the file system. [08:54]
reisedirkusThanks so far! I'll be back! :-) [08:54]

Beestjeare you using 3.0?
and are all users set to the same theme?
[10:07]
mib_ovkqjjim using 2.3
i'm not sure about the theme - how do I check that?
[10:08]
Beestjeit's in the admin page for look & feel : tiki-admin.php?page=look [10:09]
***chibaguy has quit IRC ("http://www.mibbit.com ajax IRC Client") [10:12]
mib_ovkqjjI dont see where it says what theme other users see - i have altered the modern css with my header though - are other users just seeing the original modern theme? [10:13]
Beestjebest way to find out is to copy the theme under a different name and change eg the background color of the main page or something.
then as admin set the theme to your custom theme and then display the page as registered or anonymous.
this way you can easily figure out whether the same theme is being displayed for all users
[10:14]
mib_ovkqjjok thanks - i am an amateur (obviously) is there a tutorial for doing this? [10:17]
Beestjejust copy and rename the css file and the folder belonging to the css file in the styles directory
so copy styles/modern.css to styles/customblabla.css and copy/rename the directory as well
afterwards go to the look & feel adminpage and you can select your customblabla theme

luciashxavi: eclipse + subclipse plugin works nicely for SVN
xavi: well, it's not decent, right :)
[16:27]
xaviEclipse is not for newbies :-) I'll let you add that tip on that page if it works well for you [16:27]
luciashxavi: maybe me and jonny can add there some tips [16:28]
xavixavi is learning at work how to use netbeans, and he's succeeding... but he is afraid of attempting the same with eclipse (got lost in the past with it)
luciash and jonny, please :-)
[16:28]
luciashyesterday i just downloaded eclipse classic 3.4.2 to my ubuntu, unpacked and it works much better than the one provided by synaptics [16:29]
xaviyes, same for with with netbans [16:29]
luciashworks with subclipse at least ;)
now i just need php syntax support or try the PDT Eclipse all-in-one package
[16:29]
xavimy last attempt with eclipse was the months before my ph.d. submissions (a couple of years ago), when I wanted some IDE to compile Fortran 90 on any platform... and there is a Eclipse-flavour for fortran....
however, didn't work out of the box for newbies (as I am still), so I skiped that, and end up compiling fortran using the command line, etc.
Photran it was called, afair
anyway, not many fortran programers in this channel, I guess :-)
[16:30]
luciashheheh, that seems right [16:33]
jonnybi just started again with the eclipse pdt all in one package, then added subclipse (the zend one wouldn't let me install subclipse) - seems to work ok apart from out of memory errors while debugging sometimes [16:33]

luciashjonnyb: i have autocomplete and colouring with Eclipse too
and validation
i think html editor from WST does that, and for PHP and Smarty phpclipse did the job
[16:46]
jonnybaptana has a nice ftp/sync tool too, but it was taking 10 seconds for each php debug step, or more - what's the WST editor? I've seen the initials before [16:52]
xavihi jonnyb, since I've been playing today with tiki sheets in tiki3, I was wondering about the possible roadmap for the jquery sheet plugin-thingy for tiki3.1.... (whenever it's released) what do you think?

martinkollubkeI have run into a problem after migrating from Tiki 2 to 3.0
maybe someone has an idea, since the documentation and the forum are not giving me any idea what might go wrong here
when saving a wiki page after editing it instead of replacing the old content with the new one it appends the old content after the new one
so it is as if I copied the whole content of the page on top of the old content and then edited the top most version
happens each time i save it, and with every edit the page gets longer
it's as if it would save the whole history of pages each time

tikiwiki: [bp/r18794][MOD] removing button2 and button3 (!) css classes in stylesheets. Btw, removing also submitbutton class which was useless (there is, anyway,
tikiwiki: a selector) and used in just 2 templates.
tikiwiki: This should be the final commit of many others which where the deployment of button plugin.
tikiwiki: Special thanks to nyloth for his help and time during that work !
