looks like i found a bug with freetags - as already mentioned yesterday, they seem to not work once you are not logged in, i just verified with a default fresh install. with dev and doc down, i cannot search for an answer there, so my question is:
would it be better to just file a bug, or would it be clever to find out who is in charge of freetags, and contact the developer directly, and offer support in terms of triage, testing and somesuch with her/him?

magowiz: the error http://dpaste.com/59972/ might come from a username with lowercase registered and watching that page, but after that, the user logged in as UserName (different case on any letter). and tiki can't find the email for that user (the same, in fact, but with different capitalization). However tiki-login allows that other username to login :-/
if this is the case, it's a bug which should be reported (again?) on dev.tw.o (afair, I already reported long ago)

brrrb, I can't upgrade a site to 3.0 through tiki-install.php
I have never seen this problem before:....
I get: The installer could not connect to the Profiles repository. The default installation profile will be used.  
BUT I'm willing to do an upgrade, not a clean install!
And I can't see anywhere the automatic upgrade buttons... :-/
It was a Tiki 1.9.11 site
I applied (manuall) the sql 1.9to2.0.sql
and then run the tiki-install.php
xavi : you were right about the problem : was from watches : disabling monitoring I don't get the error anymore . The problem is that somehow I cannot use user_watches without errors . Another question : a wiki page name can contain the ' character ?

the 1.9to2.0.sql came from a tiki2_svn installation, so it should be from 2.4

currently, freetags seem to only work for registered users - anons get either nothing or only a few connected items (here: blog entries)
i verified with a test install - similar behaviour.
i wondered if it were clever to first ask for confirmation by someone else, or directly file a bug.
is it possible to use an apostrophe in a wiki page name ? I discovered that using an apostrophe in a wiki page name makes the page unreachable and gives 403 : forbidden

if i am logged in (and admin...), i klick on a tag in the popular cloud, and get loads of entries.
if i do the same as anon user (even though they have the right to view blog entries, and the cloud, too, iirc), they get rubbish:
either none or too few entries.
on the test on a virgin site it setup today, 3.0 out of the box, i got 0 instead of 1 hit.
on top, if there are some but too few hits, they are not shown, only the number.

Activated search_box, working well for Admin and Editor. Registered users aren't getting results. I looked through group perms but I didnt see anything that stood out. Any ideas?

I have assigned tiki_p_search to the Registered group but it does not provide the search results that Admin or Editor get back

tobi_h: Not that I know of.  I've been adding some XMLRPC functionality for other stuff, so am aware of the interface.
tobi_h: First step would be to see if there's a suitable XML-RPC format already defined for something.  There are blog posting methods, but don't know about Wiki.
