tobi_hok - answering myself here, maybe it helps somebody googeling: it seems sufficient to set the rights in the gallery so that the usergroup in question can d/load the file needed - and that's it. Took some time, as a simple refresh does not seem to reliably apply new rights from the website...
What I would be interested now is how to apply the styles to mediaplayer, as what I find in the docs does not work - style="max" does not do the trick - anyone? All this in a blog posting... 		[09:16]
