tobi_h | hi all - I just found out that on 3.1 and with underground.css, italic seems to work on wikipages, but not in blog. cortjest | i am just getting my feet wet with tikiwiki, i like it, but for my purpose, i will be moving large amounts of files, both size and numbers. i am looking to hack the file gallery feature to implement a drag and drop java uploader, but dont quite know how | [11:47] |
tobi_h | me neither - good luck! :) | [11:48] |

tobi_h | i just happen to realize that here, on my installations, the editors for wiki and blog are different: smilies and the option to have the save etc. buttons on top as well are the obvious differences. could someone explain if a) this is intentional and b) the reasoning behind it? please? tia! :) | [11:57] |
chibaguy | tobi_h, blogs haven't received much attention from developers.
Not like the wiki. There has been work to unify, but not everything is covered yet. | [12:01] |
luciash | it's implemented slightly differently but the wiki syntax parsing should be the same everywhere | [12:02] |
tobi_h | chibaguy: ah, thanks for pointing that out - i, being the non-coder i am, had thought that internally, the would get reused more or less directly... | [12:02] |
chibaguy | Well, in a normal software project, yeah. ;-) | [12:03] |
tobi_h | ...and therefore was/am surprised to see i can't have my preview button on top with blogs. ;) | [12:03] |

chibaguy | tobi_h, you mentioned using the underground theme? | [12:05] |
tobi_h | yupp, but then realised my testing was, ehm, insufficient. | [12:05] |
chibaguy | well, mine was, too. The topbar menu was messed up. I just fixed it. | [12:05] |
tobi_h | i claimed, in error, that italic would not work -
...which is not true. it works, but not over paras... stupid me. true, top bar is messed up, but i did not care. :) | [12:06] |
chibaguy | ok. I'd expect that behavior to be the same in all themes. | [12:06] |
tobi_h | me to - accidentially i then found out, that in one of the themes, inserting code or quote behaves quite differently - it does not open a window, but attaches the form at the bottom of the page...
...which lead me to believe that things were more messy than they actually are. my bad. | [12:07] |
CIA-57 | tikiwiki: 03chibaguy * r20403 10/mods/trunk/themes/underground_tiki_3/styles/underground.css: [FIX] Topbar suckerfish menu item backgrounds weren't working. | [12:08] |

Only appearance should change. | [12:08] |
tobi_h | just reworking that: in 3.1, thenews.css seems to not use the window, but appends "quote" and "code" forms at the bottom. | [12:09] |

luciash | yes, thenews and darkroom iirc | [12:11] |

chibaguy | that's right. but my zukakakina.com site is upgraded to 3.1, and I get the BBHI in darkroom.... ? | [12:14] |
tobi_h | it did, which makes things a bit messy here - as i used to check on my server, with 3.0, whereas locally i have 3.1... | [12:14] |

RLJII | When creating a Structure in Tiki, I'm getting a database query error. The query tiki says it's trying to excute looks right to me (insert into `tiki_structures`(`parent_id`,`page_id`,`page_alias`,`pos`) values('0','15','New','1')). I can also create normal pages without a problem.
I didn;t find anything searching the Tiki site or Forum on similar behavior. Is this behavior that others have observed? The Structure root page is created, but none of the subpages are. | [17:36] |
marclaporte | version? | [17:49] |
RLJII | 3.1
And using MySQL 5.1 for the DB. | [17:49] |

Kissaki | what's tiki_sefurl_regex_out ?
oh, is that for mod rewrite? | [18:16] |
tobi_h|away | RLJII: i have just tried to do what you did:
went to structures (as admin user, on 3.1 platform), and created a structure using an ID, an alias, and three elements, test1, and indented test1.1 and test1.2 then i created the structure, which worked as expected. is that similar to what you did? | [18:18] |
RLJII | tobi: Yes, that's pretty much it (I had a couple more nodes in the tree; but otherwise it was the same).
But when I do it, tiki is return a DB query error. Question occurs to me: Is Structure ID supposed to be a numeric value, or alpha? I assumed ID meant "name", but that may not be the case. Nope, tried using a numeric value for ID, but it still fails. | [18:30] |

SEWilco2 | raveNorizoR: There is protection which filters out much javascript. Try the {JS} plugin if you have it, but that tends to work best with a saved file.
I haven't tried using JS with a file saved in a File Gallery. Hmm. | [19:10] |
raveNorizoR | i have installed the JS plugin, but the wiki is not that easy to handle
where do i find the JS plugin, to use it? | [19:14] |

SEWilco2 | raveNorizoR: If it is available, when editing a Wiki page click on the help icon, then click on the plugin help link, for a list of available plugins. | [19:17] |
raveNorizoR | mhm JS is not part of this list
but in the admin mods it is installed | [19:21] |

Landon | hey guys I'm having a problem uploading large files to my works tikiwiki
I'm trying to upload 20mb files, but after they are completely sent the wiki just shows the upload dialog with no errors or success message they don't even hit the file upload directory (although small 2kb files I've tested do) | [21:57] |
Kissaki | Is it a php-upload you/tiwik is using? If so, did you set the upload limit in php high enough? | [21:58] |
Landon | the appropriate php limits from http://www.radinks.com/upload/config.php are set and well over the filesize I'm trying to upload
as well as the timeouts uploading the 20mb file takes 100 seconds, the timeouts are set for 120 I can hardly think it takes over 20 seconds for the file to be processed (the PHP upload limit is 32mb btw) | [21:58] |

btiffin | I'm running 3.1 (svn up'ed) and I'm getting a near show-stopper bug on wiki edits. Every once in a while a page will go buggy and edits seem to merge in older versions. Nothing but a removal of the page and a recreate will fix it. One edit duplicated the text of the page something like 300 times. Ubuntu J (9.04). Is this a known thing? | [22:38] |
