hi guys, I noticed the latest stable is 3.1, is there an easy upgrade route from 1.9.x ?

yes, but mostly deprecated... modern browsers will do a better job
my browser doesnt pick up any spelling errors, should it? the WYSIWYG spell cehck using a third party is very slow
not sure if browsers pick up the errors in wysiwyg

im using theinstaller - i have told it not to use https but it alwys does when i try and log in. I have installed - imported another tiki database file, re run the install to stop it using https and it still does!

sorry to repost the same question.  I am using the upcoming_events mod and having troubles getting it to show the calendar names.  I tried using the showCalendar param but with no luck.

if not, then adding that capability to the currend module makes sense
it does show all events that the users have perms to or otherwise specified in the params.  One of the params is showCalendar which I believe should display the calendar name (who knows tho b/c sometimes my interpretation is a little sketchy. heh) 
showCalendar is new to v3 (at least I think it is)

Using TikiWiki 3.0, I'm encountering frequent "internal server error" messages, which go on to say that additionally a server error 500 has occurred. Is there a known cause of these issues? Is it potentially fixed in 3.1?

Specifically, what server memory setting should I be checking for? What are typical values?
check your emmory in php.ini + check if you are swapping a lot...

another approach is - got a tool (script) which converts from Dokowiki to mediawiki and then mediawiki to tikiwiki - This is not meeting 100%

leovangeest: i think you can set it in the db, or the admin panel (which you can't reach). But otherwise, check error_reporting.php as well as your php.ini settings

The account i logged in with and the built in system account (where apache runs with) has full control on the tikiwiki and subdirs.

I'm getting the following SVN message: svn: '.' is already a working copy for a different URL when trying to co to a different directory.  Can I only have one working copy?  I'd like to be able to svn up several sites.

Here's the answer: You just can't "svn co" over another working copy when the server paths don't match up.
I tried to svn co a 3.x over a 2.x.
I think I'll delete the 2.x, svn dir and all, and do a clean svn co.
