[00:11] hum, ~250 CAD for the round trip. that's a bit more than I thought
[00:11] (via rail)
[00:13] or hoped, anyway
[00:27] chealer : some people will go from Ottawa
[00:28] chealer : what is your best guess window for completion of modules?
[00:28] marclaporte: good. would they go on the first and come back on the 5th?
[00:28] I think so
[00:29] marclaporte: hum...
[00:30] marclaporte: looks like this would help - ~ 145 CAD
[00:31] I'll decide in some time
[00:32] marclaporte: completion of individual modules or the whole thing we discussed including the infrastructure?
[00:32] just the modules
[00:34] New Forum Posts: Borderless table - http://tikiwiki.org/tiki-view_forum_thread.php?forumId=4&comments_parentId=34898
[00:36] marclaporte: we're at 1700 lines of module PHP code, down from 3700. window meaning at which date I think I would be done?
[00:36] yes
[00:36] at this rate
[00:37] marclaporte: I also hadn't taken into account the modules which do not have a PHP file when we discussed (completely forgot about them)
[00:37] ok
[00:37] Am wondering if we can be 100% new module style in time for 4.0 Beta
[00:39] ah, so we're supposed to be frozen now
[00:40] marclaporte: yeah, that should be feasible
[00:40] s/should be/is/
[00:41] yes, we'll freeze for inclusion of major features
[00:41] tomorrow
[00:41] but minor things can continue to come in
[00:42] depending on the judgement of the release managed
[00:42] release manager
[00:42] and since no one volunteered, that's me :-)
[00:42] hehehe
[00:42] I am in favor of letting you continue work on modules until the last minute
[00:43] because I feel you solve more bugs than you introduce, all while improving the system
[00:44] and it's only once we are 100% in new module system land that we'll be free to improve stuff for real
[00:44] (in 5.0)
[00:46] marclaporte: I'd agree. for now, I'm aware I caused 1 regression, which was normal-important. it's possible others fixed other regressions, though I tried to look at SVN logs and should have catched most.
[00:46] perhaps 2 regressions, not sure
[00:47] If you can make it to Toronto and have everything finished by the end of the event, that would be quite nice
[00:47] (ignoring quick self-fixes :) )
[00:47] hehe
[00:47] (i know i should be abed by now but) i have a couple more 'wishes' for 4.0
[00:47] jonnyb: : tell us!
[00:48] jonnyb: : you are doing a superb job on interface. Congrats!
[00:48] autocompletes on plugin fields (page, users, groups)
[00:48] abed - having strong abdominals?
[00:49] jonnyb: ah yes. Would it be easier if plugin window was jquerified like table builder?
[00:50] maybe a'bed...
[00:51] improvments to IMG plugin, with drop-down menus; this is very cool
[00:51] jonnyb: oh, right. you're more likely to get a'bed than ab'ed.
[00:51] we can do more of them after freeze ("we")
[00:51] * chealer dodges jonnyb
[00:51] autocompletes on plugin fields (page, users, groups) -> is it about adding a class to the field?
[00:51] :) chealer
[00:52] yup
[00:52] and a tiddly bit of jq
[00:52] so far, wiki pages have code ready. But not user & group picker?
[00:52] oh, and making the feeds for users and groups (others?)
[00:52] 'deed
[00:52] yeah, we'll need that all over
[00:53] jq-ui calendar pickers too
[00:54] textarea resize? (medium-trivial)
[00:55] :-)
[00:55] toolbar search/replace
[00:56] about a weekend's work? (and i was just dying to do my filing)
[00:57] a week-ends work for which part?
[00:57] textarea resize is low priority because we have an alternative (+ full screen thing)
[00:57] if only someone (else) could do autocompletes on trackers ;)
[00:58] hahahahah
[00:58] weekend = as much as i can manage

[00:59] marclaporte, luciash: regarding PostgreSQL 7, I hear that should be EOLed this year, so not worth much efforts
[01:00] ok

[01:18] * marclaporte prefers PG 8.x support to no support at all....
[01:18] marclaporte: yeah, my point was perhaps even stronger. if we didn't achieve pgsql support in 5 years, it's a loss of time to try supporting old versions.
[01:18] agreed
[01:19] Same thing for Windows Server 2003 support
[01:19] debian still ships PG 7 in oldstable, but that won't be supported in a few months. cPanel must need to upgrade
[01:19] we should first focus on Windows 2008 support

[04:09] chibaguy: speaking about switch theme, it won't hurt to mention when the bug was introduced in your report
[04:12] right. I'll check on that.
[04:15] How do I enable a feature that I installed using the modules/themes/features installation? (FYI: It doesn't appear in the features admin section).
[04:18] dcedilotte, I'm not sure what feature you mean, or how you installed it.
[04:19] chibaguy: in the "Admin mods" section. I installed tinvoice. It appears in the menu as "My Invoice" but when I click on it, I get a message saying that the feature is not enabled.
[04:20] What version of Tiki are you using?
[04:20] chibaguy: 3.2 but it's an upgrade of 2.0
[04:22] very possible that tinvoice won't work with 3.2. I don't think anyone's been maintaining it.
[04:24] chibaguy: in that case, do you think people would mind if I tried to fix it?
[04:25] sure, feel free.
[04:25] chibaguy: cool. I'll look into it tomorrow. Thanks for your help though.
[04:26] ok. actually the admin mods feature itself may not work completely.
[04:26] So you should probably get around that by iinstalling the tinvoice files manuallym
