so, I just changed a few colors from blues to greens, so far
edited first from the "edit css" feature bundled within tiki
(i was in a place where I didn't have the ftp account details to change basic colors)
so the changes (new css) went magically inside the ./styles/site1.org/site1.css

as you can see (I guess), the login fields are on the left hand side of the header, and many images have some border visible
but, if I move everything (custom css and tpl) from the site1.org folder (as of multitiki) to the site1 folder (as of common  new style for all tikis at the multitiki installation), the theme styles shows up 100% well, as andreas08.css: login fileds to the right, no border in images, bigblue help icon have some style applied and thus, shown on the right top corner instead of below the central column, etc.
the loginbar position comes from design.css.

Anyway, too tricky and too specific to rare cases (like mine nodaways) and too easy workaround... so , I guess it's not worth fixing, with so many other (more important) things in everybodies' agenda (including mine).
I'll apply my own workaround: moving the same css and tpl file to the place where they should be if they were normal custom styles 
and you'll see that every thing goes back to working as expected
(hold on 1 min)
oh well, or maybe just changing (fixing) the relative folder of the andreas08.css would fix it... I'll try that first

tiki works very well with styles also in multitiki installations

once you manually copy the missing tpl to the right place of the templates folder
oh, no, no, there are many more blues that I need to change to greens in my customized theme style, if that is your question

I've been trying to fix a bug concerning exporting tracker items : see bug http://dev.tikiwiki.org/tiki-view_tracker_item.php?trackerId=5&itemId=2912
but i'm unable to figure out where it goes wrong. Exporting tracker items inserts a blank line after every 100 items (value of $maxrecords)
I'm not really good at php programming or smarty as of yet and I've been going through the code but I don't see why there is an extra line inserted...
I'm using tikiwiki 3.3 for the moment

mmm, tiki-assignpermission.php is not working for me in tiki 3.3 (in two different tiki 3.3 installations). There might be a problem...
I'm willing to grant a few permissions extra to anonymous group, and after I click on "update" button, no changes are saved... (permissions are not granted)

wtf*, there is something weird with tiki-assignpermission.php in tiki 3.3... in this other site, after we (recently) upgraded from 2.4 to 3.3, we had the Admins group with no perm granted for plugins yet (ok, so far, so good)
but the "Editors" group, have those perms greyed, checked, and uncheckable, with the word "Admin" in a box on the right hand side , and there is no group "Admin" but "Admins"...
oh well... then I try to grant the 3 perms related to plugins to the group "Admins" (they have tiki_p_admin also already), and I get: You don't have permission to access /tiki-assignpermission.php on this server. (with a scary apache white page)
I mean a 403 Forbidden page from apache
to me that there is something wrong in the LTS for assigning permissions...
aha, after conversation with sys admin in that server, I got the source of the problem, and workaround :-)
tiki-assignpermission.php in tiki 3.x seems to send the whole bunch of permissions for a group in the POST variable to the server, even if you just assign 1 new perm. And the suhosin patch for apache seems to restrict the size of the POST, so that it gets truncated at some point, before reaching the new permission/s to be assigned

that was for group "admin", which includes (inherits) many many perms from the lower level groups
ok, workaround: filter first for a section (wiki, in my case), so that the list of perms is reduced to a smaller number. Assign the perms related to plugins, and then it works with no problem
Moreover, there seemed to be a problem with mod security (with the standard rules coming to Debian based servers), which was causing error 403 with that tiki-assignpermission.php .... once the sys admin disabled modsecurity for our site, tiki-assignpermissions.php worked as expected with the workaround described above

hi marclaporte, it might very well be not a bug, but a conflict between the size of the post that tiki sends, and the size of the variable allowed by default values by suhosin in apache, which (as far as I've been told) it's customizable....

so the chances that they will not consider it a bug are high (maybe similar for tiki, which wouldn't be considered a bug, but some "bad luck" of using such a long default list of perms)
so nobody's "fault" but it's doesn't work

I guess that right now, without captcha, if a user or spammer adds rubbish there (or fake emails), tiki will just send an email to email account, and get some bounce back once, I guess...

it's in templates/tiki-export_tracker_item.tpl - line 29 (in 3.x) needs not to have a new line after it (so it reads: {/if}{foreach from=$items item=item}    all on one line)
sylvieg: i'll commit my changes to trunk now we're split from 4.x - hopefully it can go in 4.2

another Q concerning exporting of trackers (don't shoot me if i've overlooked it somewhere): Is there a setting for the default separator value for exporting? I always have to change it from , to ; 
Beestje: I don't think so. Workaround: Use OpenOffice for importing... works fine as is with the exported values, afaik (even in 3.x)
well, it's not so that I'm unable to import it properly using some mickeysoft app ... it imports fine.
but i'm from belgium and we use a comma instead of a dot for decimal numbers .... which is pointless if your separator is set to a .... comma
and i've set it up so that some managers can export tracker items so they can make nice 'n shiny reports to impress ... uh ... themselves
and a manager just wants to click on "I NEED IT YESTERDAY" and he will often forget to change the separator from , into ;
so i just would like to know how I can change the default separator on the export tracker items page
The quotes will prevent the improper import of the decimal numbers, but sometimes they import it using an office app and save it again which will sometimes get rid of the quotes... so then disaster strikes and I look stupid because they couldn't import properly...

Hi all, new tikiwiki installer here... I've been through the website and forums, and tried some fixes, but nothings helping me overcome the "must have cookies enabled" error message I get, I am of course on windows hosting... Can someone point me to an update fix for 4.1 ?

yeah, I had session issues with the default.  I created a c:\temp directory with full permissions (everyone=read write) and had php us that as its temp location

Shouldn't it use a TEMP dir under the tiki folders?
I don't think it really matters.  I just had folder permission issues under the windows directory.
i wouldn't want my session files sitting under inetpub  :)
I would think that if joomla worked, then it is probably something else.

I noticed the odd www.domain.com//tiki-index.php error and applied the "fix" for it, along with others for this bug, but it's not worked.
Then again, I'm not 100% confident in them as they only give a line number and not the actual code, so if it's changes, that fix is out of date/incorrect.
Other fixes mentioning cookies, I look in the files and there's no code matching the fix code, so again, fixes well out of date it seems.
Do all the pages have to begin with "tiki-" ?
with the sefurl (not sure if it works with IIS) the urls are rewritten
umm, wild stab now: check the cookie path - if it's assigned for a subdirectory it may not work if your site is mapped to root

I also entered mydomain.co.uk for the cookie domain
AceSMcCloud: is your domain starting with dot ?, name ? path should be maybe pointing to your subdir

no subdir, just in the root
but it might be simply something else, just the error message is same (i am no windows/IIS expert)

I was able to access it and make changes from a Chrome web browser, which was the one I'd used to actually install it, I believe someone said they had the same thing.
ie. they could access and make changes from the install file
of course.. I'm not at that PC now... so I can't get in to put the "." before the domain name...

grrr, i don't get it, i removed all the eacute; etc entities from czech language.php but now on 4.1 site they appear again for example on page tiki-admin.php?page=i18n
there is a cookie in my temp internet files
is it because i imported the language into database and use database for translation or do the string escape in the tpl for that page ???
the language.php seems clean from them (no appearance of &eacute; etc)

if so, u need to re-import from lang.php file

That's very dissapointing of tikiwiki.... from all it's claims, and long list of features.
breadcrumbs do not support wiki structures and wiki structures paths bar does not respect WYSIWYCA :(

I so wanted this to work, because of all the features built in, and the tracker.
It is sweet.  I had no success at all with it running under IIS6.  When I built a 2008R2 server, it was a breeze.
AceSMcCloud: you can maybe see the cookie value if you add phpinfo(); for debugging to the end of code in tiki-index.php file and compare in the two browsers

Anything else out there that has something like tracker and the basics of a cms? Darn Joomla has next to nothing builtin and requires a tone of pluggins to get started.
AceSMcCloud: maybe you can try Xaraya and its dynamic data hooks, but it is not trivial to work with their block layout templates system

must be something improved, as I spent about two weeks trying on IIS6 with no success, and finally installed a wamp server.  Tried it on 2008/IIS7 later and was amazed that it worked.
