Sorry, not Digg - del.ici.us del.icio.us @marclaporte: Our Tiki has also gotten large enough that user bookmarks are really necessary for finding things quickly, and it would be very helpful for users to be able to share their bookmarks with other users. @marclaporte: Freetags already capture the social *tagging* aspect of del.icio.us, but we're missing the social bookmarking part. MacLeod, what about using the links directory feature? MacLeod : I am interested http://profiles.tikiwiki.org/Collaborative_Watch I would like something more alive and ongoing more flexible than just links What permission is needed to avoid this error: Permission denied: the specified wiki page cannot be used as Smarty template resource. Anonymous gets it when viewing a wiki page made with a tracker wiki template. MacLeod : check this video: http://profiles.tikiwiki.org/Collaborative_filtering @marclaporte: Not seeing the video on that page. Is it delivered through something other than YouTube? probably, but I don't know Tiki needs to be able to capture data and make its own (and re-spit rss feeds with personalized/crowdsourced news) @marclaporte: Found the video on YouTube... hey, I'm currently building a personal wiki. I've already managed to build two trackers to enter projects and tasks and list the tracker items on the pages. But one thing I would like to add to these listing pages is a checkbox to easily check of tasks when I'm done (read: change the status from open to closed). I already saw that a checkbox option is available for TrackerList but it wasn't really clear what I should enter for t any thoughts on how I could do this (btw. I'm using tiki 3) @benvdh: There's a built-in status (open, closed, pending) feature for trackers. You don't need to create a checkbox for that. MacLeod: But that one only influences which items are displayed right ? You can't change the status with that option ? MacLeod: I'm looking for a way to easily alter the status of one or more tracker items from a wikipage a bit like the checkbox idea on the tracker item lists you get from the admins *from the admin page Hm, I haven't interacted with our trackers via a wiki page recently... is it even possible to edit trackers outside of the native tracker interface? tikiwiki: 03sylvieg * r24210 10/trunk/lib/trackers/trackerlib.php: [FIX]tracker: doc.tw says that the mail is also sent at item creation Doesn't look like it's possible. MacLeod: You can't edit the tracker itself, but you can add items to it from wiki pages and also prefill those forms, so I think editing is also possible. MacLeod: Thanks anyway for responding to my question Which plugin are you using? I'm using TRACKERLIST, and I can't edit tracker items from the wiki page. benvdh: http://doc.tikiwiki.org/plugintrackerlist use the url param with itemId - and then to a page containing a http://doc.tikiwiki.org/plugintracker and you will be able to edit items MacLeod: For the forms that add items I use the tracker plugin. For listing TRACKERLIST. And for prefilling TrackerPrefill sylvieg: I'll have a look at it OK, but TRACKERLIST doesn't allow you to edit an item from the listing. And the input forms are just for creating new items, not editing existing ones. So to change the status of an item, you have to go to the native tracker interface anyway. And once you're there, you can change the status. MacLeod: read the doc TRACKER can edit existing items you can put a param itemId=xxx to TRACKER to test @sylvieg: It's not the same as being able to edit the item within a listing of items MacLeod: read the doc plugintrackerlist ok New Forum Posts: Translating the untranslatable - http://tikiwiki.org/tiki-view_forum_thread.php?forumId=13&comments_parentId=35945 tikiwiki: 03marclaporte * r24211 10/trunk/lib/setup/prefs.php: [MOD] Increasing the available amplitude of years to add an event in the calendar, which admins can change at tiki-admin.php?page=calendar tikiwiki: 03marclaporte * r24212 10/branches/proposals/4.x/templates/tiki-export_tracker_item.tpl: [bp/r24209] [FIX] Tracker exports: 1st line of data was on same line as headers MacLeod : search video: Web 2.0 Expo NY 2008: Clay Shirky (shirky.com) It's Not Information Overload. But It seems that it's not possible to alter the status manually from a page with a tracker plugin. It seems it's only possible by using the newstatus parameter for the plugin itself correct tracker does not support status - yet You can do your own status filed? field no or do you mean, just add an extra field to the tracker ? yes if you do not need the perms ... you can have your own status field well, I don't need perms, so that would probably be the easiest solution to solve the problem @sielvieg: A more complex solution I was thinking of was to use the checkbox option of TrackerList and then let the action parameter of that checkbox refer to a page that contains a Tracker plugin with a newstatus field. But I have no idea if it would work @sylvieg: A more complex solution I was thinking of was to use the checkbox option of TrackerList and then let the action parameter of that checkbox refer to a page that contains a Tracker plugin with a newstatus field.
