coaboahello [09:47]
chibaguycoaboa, how is the yaml framework project? [09:54]
coaboacurrently I am on a different thing. Thought that I'll try it when V5 is out and do it while upgrading from current version.
did you had a chance to have a look @ their examples?
[09:56]
after the discussion about lite css i'am somewhat uncertain. Plus I would liek to talk to Mr. Jesse (Author of YAML) about licensing as luciash said it is incompatible with the LGPL license of Tike
*like
[10:04]
chibaguyNot yet, I'm also busy with other things for nw.
now.
[10:04]
coaboaMy "feeling" is that usuing a well maintained stable css framework will free some of you guys time for core tiki things. [10:06]
chibaguyI think *lite.css is strong regarding the overall layout (columns, etc.). Where Tiki is weaker is the smaller details. This is improving as basic styles are moved to layout.css, and as template files are made more consistent (like button styles, tabs, etc.).
In a way, we're getting closer to having a css framework.
Since the css class names come from the .tpl files, I don't know how easily an outside framework can be adapted for tiki.
[10:07]
coaboathis sounds great. the technically best theme (in my opinion) is tikinewt. [10:11]
chibaguyheh, I like that one too, actually.
Others are flashier, but tikinewt is really comfortable to just do work with.
[10:11]
coaboaI think there are two option 1. change tiki.tpl 2. change the div class/id labels in the yaml framework. [10:12]
chibaguya problem with option 1 is that not only tiki.tpl, but many tpl files contain css classes. [10:13]
coaboasomeone (ricks99?) told me that all div definitiona ar made within tiki.tpl [10:14]
chibaguyno, actually that's only the main layout divs. [10:15]
coaboaso is there a list (thats how the discussion startet last time) of all div id/class resp. css labels/definitios? [10:17]
chibaguyconsider a module. it contains at least div class="box", div class="box-title", div class="box-data", div class="box-footer", a shadow div, and the title div also has children.
I don't think there's a list. If you extracted the classes and ids from layout.css, design.css, lite.css and the files in /css, you'd get most of them.
(there's a lot)
old ones get consolidated or removed, but new features bring new ones.

MazzachreHi there... I am looking at Tikiwiki for intranet and comunity site for development department... I have got it running and I created myself as user and logged in... Howver none of the features I have enabled after selecting a profile (community) shows in the menu... And apparently I donøt have access to the File Gallery as my own user (only as admin)
I have enabled Calendar (And some other stuff) in features in the admin page... But only the Admin user have a Calendar link in the menu (on the left)
I have gone to permissions on calendar and added permission to Editor (and my user is in editor/SubAdmin) but still no calendars...
[12:00]

MazzachreMorning then :)
My user have only Home, Wiki and Forums in the meny
menu
[12:03]
sylviegIs an admin able to see calendar in the menu? [12:10]
MazzachreYes [12:19]
sylviegand if the user type the url tiki-calendar.php does he has a permission denied [12:20]
MazzachreYes
(just tested)
[12:21]
Any idea what I have not done? Or done wrong? (This is my first view of Tiki... So I am a complete newbie)
And aside from Calendar, I have enabled articles, blogs, trackers and freetags... Neither of these are shown for my user either (same as calendar)
I guess there is some kind of permission configuration I have failed?
[12:28]
chibaguyThe community profile should assign the needed permissions, but maybe you should check if the registered or anonymous groups have the permissions (on tiki-admingroups.php). [12:30]
