RichardReddick has joined #tikiwiki RichardReddick: hi, I was up here with a very interesting problem this morning, and after troubleshooting further I found it to be here be with the following module
mod-categories.php
If php layers is disabled then it works fine for both my registered and anonymous users
however if it follows the path for php layers true for my registered users, then I never get search results
however an anonymous users works fine even with php layers
the number of categories I have does not matter as previously troubleshooting indicated
If anyone has any suggestions on where to go next with this problem I would appreciate it nkoth: RichardReddick: I'm using that mod too but I think I have php layers off. what version of tiki are you using? RichardReddick: 3 nkoth: hmm, i'm on 4, 5 RichardReddick: I have a php layered menu, and I could disabled it in the module itself by changing the php code, but the categories module without the php-layers looks bad nkoth: right - this gets better in the later versions because of jquery (so I have no incentive to turn phplayers on) ***: grobda24 has joined #tikiwiki RichardReddick: Interesting, I may just trying upgrading nkoth: is this a new site? This is the last thing I need though, so I really dont want to introduce more configuration when I am almost finished nkoth: I see RichardReddick: thats why I am trying to avoid it nkoth: well, like you said, manually setting the module to not use phplayers might work RichardReddick: it does
but the style of it is not nice, which I could just manually change that nkoth: do you have other modules on the page that use phplayers for registered?
maybe it's a php layers clashing issue RichardReddick: perhaps
I can test that nkoth: either modules/menus... RichardReddick: yeah when I turn the menu on for anonymous it breaks the search in the same way
lol what a mess ;p nkoth: if I remember correctly this is tough to fix (i think i might have had a go at it in v3 and gave up)
