i set up staging, and it works quite well, however, I do not want anyone other than the approving group to be able to see what is in the staging category.
otherwise people can sign up, create spam pages, and they are viewable to the public. my only other option would be to remove the global permission for anonymous users to see wiki pages, andthen have to enable it for each page that i create or approve.

okay. i have a category called staging. i go there, click the key, "Can see the category in a listing (tiki_p_view_category)" is only checked off for editors and subadmins ricks99: what about can edit categoirzed objects?
01tiki_p_view_category refers only to viewing the category (its name) in a list of all categories -- not the actual objects within the category kwest: hmm. i do not see that ***: chealer has joined #tikiwiki ricks99: what is your tiki version? kwest: yeah, i cannot find "can edit categorized objects."

anyway... I mean: I can provide one tracker export with a few different fields, in csv or .ods, so that differences for end user can be clearly seen (only 20 items, so no issues of memory leakage on neither of them, etc.) ***: aayala has quit IRC (Quit: ChatZilla 0.9.86 [Firefox 3.6/20100115144158]) jonnyb: yes, for less than thousands of records use the old export (ajax version, of course ;) ) ***: chealer has joined #tikiwiki Xavi: :-)
but remember that new dump-export forgot the static fields for me
sylvieg: I tried enabling minify css, after setup.sh again, and the site lost theme style again: http://r-help-es.ourproject.org
how can I know if the problem is some missing folder on the server? sylvieg: activate the firebug or other tool
to see if the js file exists Xavi: ok -: Xavi is missing his current setup on GNU/Linux - not used to windoze or snow leopard

and the webserver cannot read them :-( sylvieg: it should be in setup.sh... Xavi: it's at op.o (gforged site, with mod security, su_php, etc.
should be in setup.sh? how come, if they are created only when I enabled the checkbox at the performance panel?
isn't it some php writing them on the server?
and for some reason, they are getting 600 there (and web user is not the owner of them)
I wouldn't like to attempt to fix myself... ***: franck has joined #tikiwiki -: Xavi still remembers the issue with perms on ourproject.org when I attempted to fix with the help of "some other coder" from irc :-) Xavi: dangerous "irc codding", it was called later on... :-)

changi around?
jonnyb, you'll have the same issue whenever you want to install that tiki on c2c.op.o with minify css
minified css and js files are created with 600 perms on the server, and web server can't read them
changi: this ^ comes from a tiki5 alpha from svn (today) installed on a server with mod security and su_php... jonnyb: most odd - surely it should be the same as the templates_c etc -: Xavi checking Xavi: jonnyb: nope :-) 644

I have to go. jonnyb: ok - bibi Xavi: keep up the good work!
:-) jonnyb: gracias Xavi: a pleasure to provide feedback when I can get some time for that
cheers ***: Xavi has quit IRC (Remote host closed the connection) kwest: yep. did another new install, followed the comments on http://doc.tikiwiki.org/Wiki+Page+Staging+and+Approval, and it still doesnt assign anything to the staging category
can anyone verify this as working, becuase i am thinking it is a bug.
i did use any profiles this time either when i installed
i havent upgraded to 4.2 yet. anyone know where i can find a changelog daniam: Xavi: Je viens de tester ton site. L'enregistrement fonctionne super bien. Beau projet que ourproject.org chealer: hi daniam. Xavi left
Gary, Marc and me are back from Confoo daniam: Oups. Comment ça été la conférence ce matin? J'ai vos DVD. Demain, c'est quand le meilleur temps pour passer? ***: HobbyBlobby has left chealer: daniam: the talk went well except for a bug a few bugs on trunk and network issues for the demo :/
daniam: cool. you can come tomorrow morning (noon/eleven is good).
daniam: Marc says it would be cool if you came to the dinner tonight (I don't know if I'll be there). daniam: Unless there is a prob. I'll stop by.
Dinner tonight? Let me check and get back to you. chealer: daniam: yes, there's a Confoo dinner around 7 PM daniam: Pls give me the coordinates. I'm not sure. I'll check and get back to you. chealer: daniam: around 7 PM at Les 3 brasseurs in Old Montreal, then Les 2 pierrots Tikiwiki|bot: Recent Bug: Tracker item: #3079 - - Categories not assigned - http://dev.tikiwiki.org/tiki-view_tracker_item.php?trackerId=5&itemId=3079 ***: FrankP_german has quit IRC (Ping timeout: 265 seconds) CIA-62: tikiwiki: 03sylvieg * r26091 10/branches/5.x/lib/wiki-plugins/wikiplugin_trackerlist.php: [FIX]tracker: fix #user changed to the username ***: kwest has quit IRC (Quit: Page closed) Weisser: i finally uploaded tiki to a commercial hosting
but i has only 24 mb in php
will tiki really refuse to work in such condition? ***: daniam has quit IRC (Quit: Page closed) sylvieg: 24 is not enough chealer: Weisser: it won't refuse, except for the check for memory (I don't know if that's just a warning or an error) but I would recommend you don't use Tiki in such an environment Weisser: it's a commercial hosting, why is the number set so low?
or, in reverse, why does tiki require so much memory? chealer: Weisser: 24 MB is not a lot of memory. just look at your process manager if you're using a desktop from the third millenium... Weisser: chealer i know
but 24 mb seems to be a lot for a php script
doing the wiki stuff chealer: Weisser: I don't know many PHP applications at this level, but 128 MB is now a common default for PHP memory limit sylvieg: but tw is not only a wiki
Weisser: if you want only a wii - there a re plenty of low consuming opensources Weisser: yes, that would be good, but i need a wiki with a decent permissions system
:<
do you happen to know of any?
or perhaps i can try and remove everything i don;t need from tikiwiki, to reduce the requirements? sylvieg: with permissions like tw - none - tw perms are very very powerful Weisser: :< sylvieg: tw consumes - because it 'loads' a lot of features Tikiwiki|bot: Welcome to the official Tikiwiki English Irc Channel. TikiWiki or better known as TW, is your Groupware/CMS (Content Management System) solution, you can get more infomation at http://info.tikiwiki.org/ . sylvieg: even if not activated .. there are still a little bit there Weisser: sylvieg would it be hard to remove those that i quite obviously don't use? sylvieg: you can reduce disk space - buit empting the libs - but memory .. is not so simple
try with 24m you will have - pure guess - 80% of tw working
if your php is well set it wil enough (with cache..) but I never saw not expensive shared hostings well set CIA-62: tikiwiki: 03chealer * r26092 10/branches/5.x/tiki-admin_shoutbox_words.php: [FIX] Admin Shoutbox words (r24932 regression) sylvieg: a good memry consumption is to delete all the plugins you do not need in lib/wiki-plugins directory

a lot of hostings let you to do so Weisser: hmm...
haven't i'll try now CIA-62: tikiwiki: 03sylvieg * r26093 10/trunk/lib/userslib.php: [MOD]group: email pattern assignment only if user is not in the group + set default to this group
