Hello, I know that 4.2 is not at all the current object, nevertheless I met a critical problem when updating form 4.0 to 4.2 on a quite exploited site (starting). The admin had lost the users management rights... cannot create, modify. Is-it a report on this, I have not found
and the session is cancelled with an "access refused"

Is it possible to have different languages in different groups?

So the question is how to handle site content.
Is it possible to use things like the wiki i18n features and language wiki plugin to show appropriate language?
(I'm thinking maybe it doesn't need to be explicitly set per group.)

chibaguy: the key is that the swedish translation isn't that good to be honest.. So the admins for the webpage want it in english instead..
Still they are all swedes
As individuals they can set their user preference to English at the site.
(And I hope maybe they or someone can slowly improve the Swedish translation. ;-) )

Ma: Groups are primarily for setting permissions. As far as I know, there's no way to set a language for a group, globally.

Ma: group is used to set access permissions, like for editing or viewing, etc., to have registered groups that can edit, and prevent anonymous editing, or whatever. Language is handled separately, in general, as far as I know.

I don't know, really. I only see default group in the trackers, and assume it means if the user is in several groups, then one is selected for the purposes of the tracker. I don't think it means anything to the user directly. But I could be wrong.

The guy we hired gave up on tiki as he ran in too many obstacles so we are far too late with our release and searching for somebody to implement this urgently.

The info.tw.o site title is too long for the space (at that font size).
I'm not so sure 'wiki way to make software' is a good subtitle, as it makes Tiki seem like a software-making tool.
'Software made the wiki way' would be more accurate, I think.

But there are too many menu items to fit in a 1024px display. The menu wraps.
Actually I guess it wraps in any display, since there's a fixed width of 990px or so.
oh, just 'admin tasks' wraps, so not so bad.

Marc, i have this warning while installing " Failed to set max_execution_time to 0 for PHP. You may experience problems when creating/upgrading the database on a slow system. This will manitest itself by a blank page. " that can't be something to worry too much about, right ?
if you have shell access, you can upgrade db that wait and never have to worry about timeout
well i just delete a row that was creating a problem and rebuild the db so now i get it all right, tks Marc.
but i tested with several theme on FF, Safari and IE8 on the  page tiki-admin.php all the admin tiles links are broken... strange
may be it require something to be activate to work properly ? (dynamic, ajax...)

I saw that but was more interested in creating a sperate css in the event I have to nuke the dir and start over.  I took johnnyb's idea and have created a custom theme option that I can play with and backup
