| Trebly | Hello, I have several id (bugs, wishes) about data conversion form 3.x or 4.x and invalid display (like an UTF8 as Ascii) and many crashes. I found that the text (object titles and contents) when using UTF8 the native UTF8 code was altered in the way : for "é" xC3A9 becomes xC383xC2A9 à control sequence x83C2 is inserted between the two UTF8 chars, for UTF8 one char coded the sequence x83C2...
...follows the char. 5.0 don't uses this feature, and, as the import module don't makes the conversion of the data, we get a complete failure. Practically I could not import at all databases coming from 3.x or 4.x to 5.0. I have created a new database and imported a part (tiki_page, structures, object) with a quite manual conversion everything I have tested functions. I can confirm that a manual conversion of data coming from 3.x or 4.x with PSPAD for example from an sql dump by suppressing the x83C2 gives good data and a 5.0 database OK. For the moment, as I have done by appending only tiki_page,...
...structures and objects it is partial. I will, as soon as possible (I found the problem this night) 1- convert a full data base 3.3 2- install 5.0 using this database, this operation will confirm if or not conversion procedure is OK.
