sylvieg, #customcodewith_ad has a width because the idea was for the custom code to share the width of the page with a banner add. If a banner ad is ~600px wide and the page is 1000px or so, then 400px remains for the custom code content.
Does that make sense? Of course if the custom code is above or below the ad, then it doesn't need a width, but I was figuring they would be side by side.
In my tests this works ok, but I've never gotten feedback about actual use cases with custom code and banner ad.

I'm not sure about splitting/doubling the normal right column. Maybe you could define it to be twice the normal width and give the modules a width that's half of that, or a little less, so they would tile two-across and downward.

I guess I used pixels because banner ads are a specific px width, so didn't know what percentage to make the custom code area.

well, I assumed the page or viewport width would be maybe a little under 1000px, I suppose. It was hard to decide on siteheader details because users' sites would vary a lot.
I'm looking forward to the siteheader revamp where we try to use modules in that space.

SEFURLs feature is just supportive feature that the internal Tiki links are generated to comply with the SEFURLs generated by RewriteRules
