fabricius: bad thing! tiki5.1 -> I just statr work - editing a page, then saving ... goes to "error 404 page not found"
luciash: misconfig ?
fabricius: anyway, when I go direct to the page, it was saved alright. But alwasy saving leeds to 404 -> whatthat canbe?
misconfig of what? database?
wiki?
its actually a wikipage
and nearly emty new inst - not too much changes still
luciash: if u have SEFURLs enabled, u need _htaccess rename to .htaccess
fabricius: uh... perhabs I forgot the .htaccess ... fine, yes might be
checking
***: olinuxx has quit IRC (Quit: Ex-Chat)
fabricius: nope
was not the fault
... anyway I try a new .ht..
luciash: what does the url look like
when there is 404
fabricius: ok, even a brandnew freshly unpacked .htaccess is not doing
so it happens exactly, when I klick on the save button of the wikipage'
only a small CODE box in it and some sample text
would you recommend to just redo the site an to make a new installation?
its just fresh and I am under some pressure til saturday morning
luciash: no
fabricius: kk
luciash: what does the url look like
fabricius: http://mitglied2.vafk.de/tiki-editpage.php?page=HomePage
luciash: nope
with 404
after save
fabricius: http://mitglied2.vafk.de/HomePage&no_bl=y
luciash: is it apache web server ?
fabricius: but page saves correctly
luciash: it indicates to me that the .htaccess rewrite rules are not used
fabricius: think so - all standart, different pages with several versions (mostly for testing for the coming release)
luciash: switch SEFURLs off
fabricius: first time this error
I tell u what: I did change s.th to the previous installations - I did put the ht access one folder "above", cause they r recursive
perhabs a fault?
I am talking about AddHandler and Add Type -> PHP 5 parsing
I´ll try that? Adding two lines into the .htaccess
***: goj|ghost has joined #tikiwiki
luciash: it must be in same folder where tiki is
fabricius: then I switch Selfurl off
luciash: .htaccess
no putting up folder
fabricius: .htaccess is - just Addhandler and Addtype are in anothe .htaccess one layer higher
I´ll take the two lines out and into the tiki .htaccess

1st was ticked, 2nd 3rd and 4th not ticked -> untick 1st and it worked
but does that mean not to use selfhtml anymore?
even a bug or so?
luciash: i think your .htaccess wasn't applied, maybe you need set RewriteBase to your path where Tiki folder is
in the .htaccess
not a bug
fabricius: I do not understand: 'maybe you need set RewriteBase to your path where Tiki folder is'
what is RewriteBase? ahh sorry, I imagine
yes perhabs - strange but possible
mom
luciash: look in the .htaccess file
fabricius: and empty cash of browser just to be sure and to have done it
ah look into ...
mmmmmmm mom
luciash: u need probably something like RewriteBase /mitglied2/ there
fabricius: mom, checkin some stuff like talked about
different detail settings
luciash: finished - so it is pretty sure (would say 99%) that it was an .htaccess issue -> some misscopying while my standart installation procedure
thx for giving me the right direction

jonnyb: you mean change the way they work? sorry, don't follow

CIA-69: tikiwiki: 03jonnybradley * r29579 10/branches/6.x/db/tiki.sql: [DB] Fix columns tiki_user_votings.user and tiki_transitions.transition_lookup to be like upgrades
changi: grep -v .svn
luciash: thx
piped ?
changi: yes: first command | grep -v .svb
oups .svn of course
jonnyb: so do you think we shouldn't use "IF NOT EXISTS " to stop the create table errors? (as it's mysql only)
luciash: oh, ok, i made it the first command
wondering why it doesn't work ;)
changi: jonnyb: reltype introduce by LPH at r15009 with a very short explanation : Fresh install broken on some new features
jonnyb: hmmm - odd
need to do some other stuff (like eat) - back later (have a fix for tiki_user_mail_accounts - i'll commit later)
luciash: good idea jonny :)
-: jonnyb can't take much of this database stuff - nothing to animate
fabricius: hey luciash I have started to look into the workspaces stuff
first step ist to understand and use perspectives
I have made an installation as a members area
luciash: nice, you can teach me then when u r done
;)
fabricius: looool
I have a specific problem to get a first start andwant to ask you s.th. - perhabs you have an idea
so I have 8 menu items in the top bar
8 categories with the same name
8 naked profiles
and 8 menus shown in 8 modules on the left side of the tiki
now my job to do:
I want to allocate each menu, category, Top Bar menu item and module to the appropriate perspective
example:
module 'service' included menu 'service', TopBar item 'service', catergory 'service' all allocated to the perspective 'service'
shoul lead to:
when I click on the TopBar item 'service' the module 'service' shows up, all other modules dissappear and the TopBar stays
my 1st question:
should that generally work (so is my thinking right in principle) ?
my 2nd question:
CIA-69: tikiwiki: 03changi67 * r29580 10/branches/6.x/installer/schema/20101023_missing_tweetId_column_tiki.sql: [DB] Missing tweetId column in tiki_shoutbox - maybe a missing file in commit r27056
fabricius: how can I tell all the different objects to be part of the appropriate perspective?
my 3rd and so far last question:
how can I configure (or must I) the perspective to make all things show up, when I allocate to it?
finish
#
luciash: 1) yes 2) no idea 3) no clue
2b) learn from available docs and then tell me ;)
fabricius: ok, who would be in the position to help me ... just to give me an idea - not to figure it out in detail, what would be my own job
CIA-69: tikiwiki: 03changi67 * r29581 10/branches/6.x/installer/schema/ (4 files): [FIX] We are still in september
fabricius: anyway it seems to be very helpful for my, that u tell me (if I understand well) that I am on the right track
-: changi i commit file with october date, and nobody say nothing :)
fabricius: lol
luciash: changi: well spotted
--color doesn't work when doing piped greps :(
changi: in your first grep just set --color=always
-: fabricius has to head off for a local groups meeting ... thx for all given help, c ya later lads and laddies
luciash: changi: ah, nice, i will try
changi: fabricius: bye

changi: sylvieg: ok found the problem, it's the comment
sylvieg: when you remove it, it works, before you get an PDO error statement.
sylvieg: ah?
changi: can you fix it ?
sylvieg: ah the comments is 2 lines?
changi: yes
sylvieg: but we have other script with comment?
changi: it is not the comment in 2 lines, but the comment himself
sylvieg: ok found, url link is not accepted
sylvieg: good catch...
changi: in fact, url with ?
i think pdo try to "interpret" it
to be sure that all upgrade have the correct parameter, maybe you should rename the sql to 2010... and remove the url
my 2 c
sylvieg: the comment explains why (next time I will be careful not to name it 2006 ;-)
changi: but if you have a current 3.6 and wanted to update, you will have some trouble, because the column doesn't exist
as it's only an alter, i think having 2 script (one which work and the other) would be acceptable
***: lucks has joined #tikiwiki
changi: that's my opinion of course
and moreover, i think that db consistency for LTS is necessary
-: changi is fighting with sql because of that
sylvieg: I thought that the date in the script name was not important but I am wrong?
changi: if the script was already execute, it will not be execute again. That's the point
and yes the date is not important
sylvieg: so... now if a script has a bug, it is not insert in tiki_schema (was different in 3)
inserted
changi: yes it is not, but your script did not have a sql bug, but a PDO warning whose concequence is to not execute the sql

luciash: i saw it too (on the same site :-p)
sylvieg: om my local - same behavior
luciash: but xavi was the brave one to report it out loud
sylvieg: at least the bd is incorrect
luciash: :)
bd as in Id ?
or bd as in db ?
sylvieg: db (bd is the french translation sorry)
luciash: ah, np
:)
sylvieg: in fact the replies of any topic are the topic on the current forums...

-: luciash doesnt understand what are the Transitions useful for
luciash: tiki-admin_transitions.php (http://doc.tiki.org/Category%20Transitions)
sylvieg: yes for instance you need to approval of admins to change category
luciash: hmm, how does it work ?
sylvieg: to morrow I can explain - but need to cook
luciash: sure, np, good luck with cooking
it creates system database error when trying to create new :(

ricks99: having problems setting global (group) perm in my Tiki 5....
I select Anonymous for tiki_p_forum_read on tiki-objectpermission and click Assign...
Tiki reloads the page (as expected) but the checkbox is no longer selected....
and Anonymous gets a 401 error when trying to view a forum
The forum is *not* in a category
and when i look at user_grouppermissions db table, there is a line says:
Anonymous tiki_p_forum_read (although the valoue is empty, but then its empty for ALL items)
any ideas?
