hi ttrimm ttrimm: Can you tell me why my site says that I have version 4.1 and can upgrade to 4.3 when the most current version is 5.1 ?? fabricius: it´s so easy ... it´s so easy ... la la lalala ttrimm: I am still learning fabricius: jo
me tooon :-)
too
so, when your site is 4.1, you are in the 4.x branch
the most actual 4.x seems to be 4.3 ttrimm: so, if I installed with Fantastico, would that be how I upgrade it? fabricius: no idea, what fantastico is - pls tell me ttrimm: it is something that is used to install software in cPanel
http://www.wikihow.com/Install-Tiki-Groupware-Using-cPanel fabricius: -> cPanel is a Unix based web hosting control panel that provides a graphical interface and automation tools designed to simplify the process of hosting a web site.
you mean that?
I do not know that- would have to look into that, if I had access to one Neil_Melbourne_: My fantastico only has the 4.x branch, so id think youd have to install it manually fabricius: I setup a db, copy a prepared unpacked package, put in the db-data into the local php and strat the installer - most of the installers steps are already done by the onetime manual preparations after download and unpacking
ttrimm: manual installation is not so hard, even for a beginner, once you have all providers datas and somebody to ask nearby -: ttrimm is the expert on this in her circle marclaporte: Fantastico is slow to upgrade.

I didn't use fantastico to install so I can't help you. If I were you, I'd upgrade to 5.3.
Let's (selfishly) repeat my question of this morning : are thevulnerabilities only in 5.2 or in all Tiki versions ?
Another question, apparently, tiki import from mediawiki does not work
I get as error message

regarding vulnerabilites: some of them affect to all tiki branches (and their earlier versions of each branch, of course)
so you'd better use latest 3.x (3.8 at least, if LTS)
or 5.3 (if 5.x branch)
and by no means use 4.x (not actively mantained, since it's not LTS nor the stable & supported BRANCH)

tochinet: if you need more help you can post here http://tiki.org/tiki-view_forum_thread.php?comments_parentId=38686&topics_sort_mode=lastPost_desc&forumId=4 xavi: ricks99: how can I make a wiki link or external link in a wiki page look like a button?
is there any easy trick to convert links into button-like links? ricks99: {DIV(class="button")}((foo)){DIV} xavi: ok, thanks :-) ricks99: is that what u mean?
k xavi: yes, that was it
I'm not using "class" when using wiki syntax, and I must think about using it in some places
that's a good starting point, with your help :-) ricks99: or...
you could declare the DIV once per page,
then in your css...
add somehting for that unique class
.foo a.wiki {button stuff}
i think *all* wiki links in wiki pages use <a href="" class="wikilink"
i *think* xavi: mmm, didn't work for me with external links :-7
that's my sytnax...:
{DIV(class="button")}[foo&itemId={{itemId}}|Go to next page]{DIV} ricks99: in ur css, you'll need to devine .button a.wiki {.....}
*define xavi: ok
and in order to make it like the "submit" buttons from plugintracker, I should look for something like...
.button a.plugintracker {.....} ??? ricks99: just copy the definition xavi: ok, thanks ricks99: u can see it in action here: http://info.tiki.org/tiki-searchresults.php?searchLang=en&words=foo&search=Go
the 3 buttons at the top of center column are external links made to look like buttons
is that what you're trying to do? xavi: yes, nice!
ricks99: how do I set that when I hover I aslo want this style?
.button a.wiki a.wiki.hover or similar? -: xavi looking for examples and doing trial and error ricks99: .button a.wiki:hover xavi: thks ricks99: but if ur going to define a hover style, best practies says you should also define :link xavi: ok
in fact, there is some problem with arcturus > simple theme style (in tiki6, at least), and I'm also inheriting that problem
with that style, when you hover on buttons like in wiki page history , for "source", "view", "rollback", ... they move / expand /... tricky...
difficult to use them
:-/ ricks99: check th padding. xavi: ok, thks ricks99: for the un-hovered state, you need to add an empty border to make up the difference
something like: border: 1px solid inherit xavi: then maybe it's not so much related to the issue with simple buttons, which expand when I hover on them
ah, ok, empty border -: ricks99 thinks xavi is turning into an A-1 graphic designer :-) xavi: A-1 ? ricks99: very good xavi: ah, ok, thks for your thinking (I don't share the same "thinking" :-) )
ricks99: I'm doing something wrong. I want to apply the same set of css properties to all the variants possible of that button
I've defined:
.button a.wiki, .button a.wiki:hover, .button a.wiki:link, .button a.wiki:visited, .button a.wiki:sfhover {...}
but I've lost the button-like effecet
how can I force that button to stay still even if you hover, it's been visited, etc.?
I seem unsable to control that buttons "own life" ricks99: as long as u define :link, :hover, and :visited to be the same, it shouldt change xavi: buttons'
:-/
I'll try again but... ricks99: if u are using firebug or ie dev kit, u should b able to see what is being over-ridden xavi: yes, I'm using it, but still too much information in that right pane of firebug for a "C-" newbie-designer.... ricks99: select just "computed" to see what is going on
do u have a link? xavi: yes, you'll need to log in, since it's the form to add items, etc

Is there a way to have wiki page URLs domain.com/category/some+title , not just domain.com/some+title ? amette: That sounds like it would involve coding in the SefURL stuff.. don't think that it's implemented right now (and I think it's not trivial either). HideMe: Ok. So I am using group permissions on categories, the problem I run into is if two groups want to create a wiki page with the same title, Tiki wants to use the same url and denies the person trying to create, as it already exists. Ideas on how to get around this?
eg: some+page in cat1 and some+page in cat2 amette: ricks99: oh, right, the sitesubtitle is covering it, but the link is very low, too - now you can see it - any idea how to make it higher? like all the height of the characters? ;)
Categories are not for that, I suppose you'd want to use Workspaces, if this is a must-have ricks99: @HideMe: wiki page names must be unique. see docs for details
@amette: need to remove the negative margin from top of #sitesubtitle amette: right, I meant the having-same-named-pages with the must-have
ricks99: wicked! That's it! Also removed the relative and set the padding to 2em, otherwise there seemed to be some overlap problems..

hi amette, btw :-)

(I was because I have a very short mind very confident into this upgrade) - This has ended as usual by a database invalid and no issue found after the upgrade ( with for upgrade errors - note duplicate records seems...
...without importance). I think that the product is not usable if you want to upgrade even in the same serie 4.x 5.x. Just available for test. The upgrade form other versions seems not to be not tested. I am sorry but I am quite ready to leave, because I have lost so much job, contracts, and credibility failing to make run any tiikiiwiki version else than 3.2 and next 3.x, rhis that thought...
...the feature are very interesting the availability to manage upgrade is 0. Must I work on each table and record till the product says I am satisfied the data are right for me (no database error) ?
