wojtech	hi all I have a problem that I am trying to solve using a default category but this feature (assigning a default category to a group) seems not to be working what i am trying to achieve: i have normal users and priviledged ones in a seperate group i want to force priviledged users to chose a category for their entries (lets say "private" or "general") but I want normal users to always post as "general", at least if they do not indicate a seperate category does anyone have an idea how to get that working? wojtech	maybe i am using it wrong non-priviledged users are in group "registred" for which i set the mentioned setting to category "general" i then tried to create a new entry as a non-registered user but it did not set the category on the entry btw what would also be acceptable is if new pages could "inherit" the category of the page they were created from (if they are created by clicking a non-existing wiki reference) but i recon this isn't possible since tiki doesn'T have a concept of parent-kid relationship for pages	[09:03]

jonnyb	you pass the item, offset, page size etc via the smarty plugin params see /lib/smarty_tiki/block.pagination_links.php if your index param is called "offset" it does it all for you only gets hairy when there are multiple ones on the same page you just need to tell it the "cant", which is tiki-speak for count (no idea why though) have a look at /templates/tiki-admin_calendars.tpl for a simple one	[17:42]

Trebly	With the same data and version using 5.3 a server sends full OK utf8 pages while the other installation displays for the page (seen globally by the navigator as utf8) pieces of text utf-8 (menus and all from language.php) , while all text from others data are received converted "where ?" into latin1. As the lonely informations asked at the creation of a database is the encode and defined utf-8 and sort index code, in my opinion I could not change anything to make these installation conformed to tiki needs. So my question is which mysql server parameter should be defined for the use with 5.3 ? Where are they defined ?
