Can anyone tell off the top of the head if there are issues with TikiWiki and very long-title pages?
(or pages involving non-latin letters)
i am trying to make backups of my tikiwiki content...
on the server, there is a postgresql db and a mysql db
they both appear empty to me... but the wiki is full of information
i have read the documentation at doc.tiki.org
and i have run mysqldump just like it tells me to

talin: tiki supports mysql only recently - appearing empty while tiki runs fine and is full of content usually means you look on wrong db
luciash: is there a config-file where i can see what the name of the DB is? something to indicate where i might find it

Any ideas on why Tiki v6.1 won't change to my perspective's designated home page when I switch to that perspective via the module?

No worries, I think I just figured it out.
the twist theme seems to have problems in 6.0 and 6.1 in administration panel I can't navigate inside admins 
You have to turn off group homepages in the perspective.
Ah yes. Group Home wil override the perspectives. Group = Global
I was using group homepages for one group that wanted their own workspace in v3.1, but now I can use Perspectives instead.
on multitikiwiki the tiki-install.php knows only the first database ....
how can I upgrade each base ? by running mysql < installer/schema/*.sql  on each base ?

Hello All: Embarrassing question but... Do I unlock the TW installer before upgrading to the next level? Separately, I'm getting error messages that tell me I need to run installer again but I'm not sure if the problems are related. Finally, I'm upgrading via SimpleScripts on a BlueHost server. ~Thanks. 
unlocking the installer is to access it once the files are copied over, I don't know what simplescripts does
THANKS! SimpleScripts did (does?) the install for me on Bluehost (hosting provider) in addition to the upgrades. I'll keep the two issues separate unless I get more evidence. Also want to plug Rick's book - helpful right out of the box.
