I know what you mean. I liked deleting phplayers css rules.

jonnybi'm going the new mobile stuff at the moment - we have __so__ many nested nested divs etc
mostly what i'm doing is forking the tpls and removing almost everything! :)
looking good though, looks a bit like an iphone app already! :)
[12:27]
chibaguywell, we need a certain minimum to style the modules in 'standard' ways.
but I know the number of divs has grown steadily, I'm not sure why exactly.
[12:29]
jonnybi think about 50% of them are for IE [12:29]
chibaguyquite possibly
well, if you trim and some styling can't be done, it'll be easy enough to put back what is needed.
[12:30]
jonnybat the moment i'm in theme tpls, for safely
most of it seems to be adding things like ' data-role="page"' to div#main etc
so i'm hoping to merge it all back into the standard tpls eventually
maybe...
[12:34]
chibaguywhich theme tpls? (I mean not which theme but what particular tpl.)
the reason for the theme tpls, that I'm aware of, was to enable layouts that couldn't reliably be done with css only, though of course supporting ie6 was also a requirement at the time.

TW6.1: Does anyone know if the TopBar "Search Bar" defaults to advanced mode, and if not, how to set the custom code to do so?
RavenC thinks that makes more sense
[15:36]
ricks99it does not. you have 2 options
1. modify the TPL to turn it on by default.
or
2. use the custom site header area to make your own <FORM> element that uses the adv search
[15:36]

chealerricks99: it counts in a language's stats even strings that are marked as unused (or perhaps possibly unused) in that language file [20:12]
ricks99Conceptually, I can't understand why a string would be used in EN but not FR? TIki features are not language-dependent, are they? Don't all anguages have the same features? [20:12]
chealerricks99: yes, all languages *should* have the same total numer
number
[20:13]
ricks99OK, so there are problems with exporting the base EN to each lang php file?
ricks99 thought that happens automagically for each release

these sections need to be discussed with sylvieg at some point
[20:14]
ricks99ok. Think I get it now. All languages *should* have idential EN strings to translate, but apparently they don't.

TreblyI try again to get an answer, a reaction.
I meet today the following.
The user comment of the center of page uses a full page with a column of 14c. of text large.
The reason : it is normally a not boxed module. But as it has no more $module_params.class (new module properties simplified) then this module inherit of the general class .module which is defined with 180px max.
What do we do ? Who does something ?
Nevertheless module.tpl, modules properties, .css are concerned and if nobody take care we can suppress the custom_center_column_header.
May be it is a no matter problem ?
Can we discuss of such problem on IRC ?
Is it reserved to dev mail or to wish list ?

Some recent changes makes that this comment can't be displayed well. I just see this.
There are several action which have created this (without interest as particular problem). Mainly various separated changes in modules definitions.
So the problem is to have a coherent correction. As I don't know what's the aim and the final state, I can just say : take care -> This is the mechanism which create such problems, which are not at all to solve later.

Trebly<jonnyb> You will read this after dinner. I don't say that's not normal. I just say it exist, and I have analyzed why ?
I do believe that such problems must to be identified as soon as possible (the same in mechanical studies), because after to solve it costs a lot.
I say :
1- This feature is not alwaysz used so if there is no content nobody can see the problem
2- This module into the last (not mine) tiki.tpl seems misplaced
3- This module is by default "not boxed" this has a consequence in module.tpl {if {else
4- When the not boxed module is treated, a class is defined. The class is ". module" if "$module_params.class" is not defined.
5- Changes in module definitions makes so that the class of this module can't be defined then it is ".module"
6- the class .module defined in layout.tpl is by default max-width:180px
7- the consequence is that this module as header of a page can contain no more than 14 characters and uses a full page height for four line of normal text.
Todo : allow again to change the class of the module or use a default value set into database. But if I don't know the aim I can't do it.
Sorry for the length, I feel needed to be clear.

tikiwiki: [FIX] The problem with using filtervalue (which allow partial match) on item
tikiwiki: list field is that the result can be like 34,134,13 or 132,13 so if I filter for
tikiwiki: "34" I will get ambiguous result. Therefore if the result for purposes of
tikiwiki: matching is ,34,134,13, instead, I can filter for ,34, without ambiguity.
