backporting is one of the most difficult things known to man (or at least this man) jonnyb: have you tried the merge command? makes it quite a bit easier usually
the other technique i've used in the past is to create a patch/diff file for the original commit and apply it on the proposal branch lindonb: yes, tour tips have helped me with that part
it's more planning for the backport when committing in trunk - committing atomically enough but not too atomically
and when you mess up everything is at least quadruplicated
btw, i had some earlier commits that were rejected - do i roll those back or does the QT team? i've seen it both ways i think jonnyb: Nyloth and pkdille do that as part of the release process, but i'd expect they'd be grateful if they had already been rolled back.

In my opinion when a "display structure" is launched there are two ways to navigate into structure :
1- actual : clck on one element : you get the substructure and text attached. The non convenient navigation are too long to detail (I will write a which list and dev mail)
2- Use the display of structure like a menu which displays with a navigator the content of each wiki into an <iframe>. The current shown document is highlighted.
main advantages
1- never lost summary of the whole structure
2- easy navigation into structure
3- light page to get for each text (the whole environment of the page stays) with the use of iframe
