Information about code editors with JS files : most of developers probably knows about this but I don't. PSPAD was not unable to show JScript enhanced and provide help to write. The solution is : Even the file is *.js the embedded even it is in js tit edits it as embedded js into html hi Trebly, sorry, not familiar with pspad, some sort of editor i'm guessing - don't follow the other points either i'm afraid PSPad is a very good tool. Many features. i had two "lonely" problems : 1- It had defintions of smarty syntax but it was not functionning 2- It was was not recognizing jscript in *.js (but into some embedded into old html I solved both and it is quite simple. yay, nice! i've recently moved to using netbeans, also has smarty issues I will try it and tell you if there are better features in Pspad or not i'm about 80% happy with it, it's about as good as it get (for free!) Trebly: PSPAD is a really bad choice for an editor. If you want some really good editors, Nodepad++ comes to mind, so is Notepad2(if my memory is right), InType for it's support of textmate bundles is great, e-texteditor (it has an open source version too now, though you still require a license to use it but it's the best editor on Windows). Aptana as stated on the CreateAnIDE page on dev.tiki.org works wonders too. Netbeans is good too but I find it sluggish at times on my machine to I stay away from it. yes, i stopped waiting for aptana 3 to have proper php support so tried netbeans - much quicker! nightly polom :) polom hi luciash & all jonnyb, I agree, Netbeans is really great but as I stated, it sometimes becomes sluggish on my machine and I can't figure out why. Aptana runs perfectly and it run on JVM too. Weird. +1 Notepad++ hey, marclaporte - we got tiki mobile working on a blackberry in the pub earlier on - w00t! +1 for Aptana / Eclipse and (g)vim of course ;) as they're crossplatform i don't know Netbeans jonnyb: w00t :) luciash, true about (g)vim I forgot to mention it. >whatis bbb 'bbb' could be Big Blue Button luciash, blackberry. Jonnyb was just talking about that and I thought it was related to that comment. aaah, sorry, just coincidence luciash, no problem. when we're in the w00t mode ;) jonnyb: and is your BlackBerry working ? :-p wasn't mine, seemed very poor compared to ios ok, just kidding :) (for reference: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kAG39jKi0lI ) i know, but it was some proper field testing :P thanks luciash - very much enjoyed clip here "let me try to boot it" ... "now it's crashed" :-p me crashing now too - nn I could use a little help i am a brand new tiki wiki user and have been searching for answers but don't know the correct verbiage for the search lol If I knew what to search for I could read the guides on how to do it. On my mediawiki site I had a block within the article to the right and a table of contents after the introduction. I am looking to do something similiar in tiki wiki but can't figure out how an example would be http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/D%26D the box to the right and the table of contents nicohelp: for toc use {maketoc} nicohelp: you need some !Headings and !!Headings around the page yeah I got that now ty :) any word on the box to the right is that freetags or something? to emulate that box i would proably use Trackers, but that's advanced stuff you can do that manually with a table syntax in a box floated right something like {DIV(float=right)}^{FANCYTABLE()}__Designer__|((Gary Gygax)) and ((Dave Arneson)){FANCYTABLE}^{DIV} check the syntax on http://doc.tiki.org/Wiki+Syntax for the wikiplugins see doc.tiki.org/PluginFancyTable and doc.tiki.org/PluginDiv or PluginBox so ther may be a plug that emulates this behavior? I am reading the guide on trackers now that I know the name i'd rather start with the basic wiki syntax and plugins... keep the trackers for later ;) very nice looking at plugins now. You are of great help is there a way to exclude a heading from the TOC i don't think so, you have to use another markup New Forum Posts: How to change where Wiki home is pointing to. - https://tiki.org/tiki-view_forum_thread.php?forumId=4&comments_parentId=40471 New Forum Posts: New user to Tikiwiki - https://tiki.org/tiki-view_forum_thread.php?forumId=4&comments_parentId=40465 New Forum Posts: Images resizing in the File Gallery - https://tiki.org/tiki-view_forum_thread.php?forumId=4&comments_parentId=40457 New Forum Posts: How to change where Wiki home is pointing to. - http://tiki.org/tiki-view_forum_thread.php?forumId=4&comments_parentId=40471 New Forum Posts: New user to Tikiwiki - http://tiki.org/tiki-view_forum_thread.php?forumId=4&comments_parentId=40465 New Forum Posts: Images resizing in the File Gallery - http://tiki.org/tiki-view_forum_thread.php?forumId=4&comments_parentId=40457 New Forum Posts: How to change where Wiki home is pointing to. - https://tiki.org/tiki-view_forum_thread.php?forumId=4&comments_parentId=40471 New Forum Posts: New user to Tikiwiki - https://tiki.org/tiki-view_forum_thread.php?forumId=4&comments_parentId=40465 New Forum Posts: Images resizing in the File Gallery - https://tiki.org/tiki-view_forum_thread.php?forumId=4&comments_parentId=40457 New Forum Posts: How to change where Wiki home is pointing to. - http://tiki.org/tiki-view_forum_thread.php?forumId=4&comments_parentId=40471 New Forum Posts: New user to Tikiwiki - http://tiki.org/tiki-view_forum_thread.php?forumId=4&comments_parentId=40465 New Forum Posts: Images resizing in the File Gallery - http://tiki.org/tiki-view_forum_thread.php?forumId=4&comments_parentId=40457 New Forum Posts: why registered user group can delete structure - http://tiki.org/tiki-view_forum_thread.php?forumId=4&comments_parentId=40472 good morning tikiwiki: 03sylvieg * r32877 10/trunk/lib/wiki-plugins/wikiplugin_sharethis.php: [FIX]SHARETHIS: replace with headerlib calls to avoid sometimes blank screen tikiwiki: 03sylvieg * r32878 10/branches/proposals/6.x/lib/wiki-plugins/wikiplugin_sharethis.php: [bp/r32877][FIX]SHARETHIS: replace with headerlib calls to avoid sometimes blank screen bbl tikiwiki: 03sylvieg * r32879 10/trunk/lib/wiki-plugins/wikiplugin_sharethis.php: notice tikiwiki: 03sylvieg * r32880 10/branches/proposals/6.x/lib/wiki-plugins/wikiplugin_sharethis.php: [bp/r32879]notice tikiwiki: 03sylvieg * r32881 10/branches/proposals/6.x/lib/ (tikidate-php5.php tikilib.php): tikiwiki: [bp/r31349]official comment:[FIX] tikidate: Patch up muddle between and tikiwiki: (output) - both of which are effectivley unused anyway.Solves issue of dates tikiwiki: appearing as DateTime::__construct(): Failed to parse time string (5) at tikiwiki: position 0 (5): Unexpected character (thanks mheller) -> For me it is only tikiwiki: notice Anyone have an idea... (too excited by mobile & ajax at the moment to get more distracted now though) jonnyb: i understant. I was looking for that for a private project and my first need is to have editable tables looking at this two active project, i can not make a choice that's why i'm asking for your advice. by gut instinct took me towards datatables (usually how i decide) is this for a tiki thing? if so i'd try and use the one that looks most like the jquery-ui project api (as i hope to have it in for tiki 8 or 9) no, it's not for a tiki project, but a very similar architecture jquery + jquery-ui + smarty 3 and highcarts for charts how long till 6.2? s/highcarts/highcharts New Forum Posts: Size of Google Map in List view - http://tiki.org/tiki-view_forum_thread.php?forumId=4&comments_parentId=40481 tikiwiki: 03chealer * r32884 10/trunk/ (3 files in 3 dirs): less is more: remove TikiLib::date_format2() polom my daily question: dividing two {DIV()}s with the {SPLIT()} plugin, I need a vertical line between the two rows ... how can I getthat line done? sorry between the two columns as example: I have two articles on my startpage http://papatour.eu and need a vertical line between them can do it pretty easily w/ 2 custom css styles (but i personall prefer whitespace as the divider)... create a style with the bgcolor=xxxx of the color you want the dividing line.. 2. assign that style as the custom css for the SPLIT table 3. create a css with background=#ffffff 4. enclose the article plugins in {DIV(class="....")}...{DIV} so they'll have white backgrounds... 5. in the SPLIT, use fixed sizes. create 3 columns. the middle colum will be the width of the line ah cool thx ricks np. polom moloq how can I escape square brackets in smarty templates in tiki? when used for R in wiki pages directly, they work as expected. I.e.: a[1,] but when used in wiki pages used as smarty templates through plugin trackerlist they become converted to external links... and I need to avoid it but I don't know how did you try: a[[1,] yes, I did :-) hi xavi - um, it's probably html encoding happening - have a look (in 6) at how they get escaped in module parameters but didn't work thought you would... :-) that's my only suggestion. sorry hi ricks99 and jonnyb np, thanks ricks99 for sharing it :-) and thanks for tip, jonnyb, I'll have a look there try a%5B1%2C%5D which i got by putting escape("a[1,]") into my javascript console (like firebug) aha... in that case of modules, the square brackets seem to be only after smarty variables: $variable[ix] ... but I wonder if I can use $ as variable name in R... (not sure) not the code - in a running tiki I'll try first your other tip, jonnyb r returns: Error: unexpected symbol in "a%5B1%2C" bbl tikiwiki: 03chealer * r32885 10/trunk/ (3 files in 3 dirs): tikiwiki: revert r32884 "less is more: remove TikiLib::date_format2()" tikiwiki: oops bad luck chealer - getting rid of old stuff is always hard (but well worth trying, bravo!) xavi: why did you move the encoding errors with gzip issue out of regressions? jonnyb: hehe, more like bad sight here - totally unable to read back chealer, hi I don't think so afaik oups, chealer, you are right, I moved that with the other point (by mistake) sorry, reverting... fixed fixed the page, not the bug xavi: no problem, thanks thanks to you for fixing those issues (and reviewing the others) g'night ricks99 and jonnyb (even if you are not connected right now): I seemed to have some cache issue before. using [[] worked for me right now in the smarty template so a[[1,] worked in the template sylvieg ^(fyi). solved gn
