My plan is to keep i18n.tiki.org on trunk and merge the translations to branches/7.x every time a export and commit them to trunk. Any ideias? Suggestions?
I think that creating an exception for i18n.tiki.org will mess the new rule of commiting translations to trunk jonnyb: that sounds like it will create unresolvable conflicts - because people will need to make translations in 7.x (for the release) and the merge script does lang as well as everything else
and conflicts in lang files are notoriously hard to untangle rodrigo_sampaio: jonnyb: but the point is that the new policy is commit your translations to trunk and merge them to other branches if you want/need. so people should not commit to a branch directly. if they are doing this they are assuming the risk of loosing their work.

yes, rodrigo_sampaio - test no 's' rodrigo_sampaio: jonnyb: I never saw this error before. We define tra() on bootstrap.php for the tests
jonnyb: how you are trying to run the tests? maybe you are doing it in a way that is ignoring bootstrap.php jonnyb: do the tests use adodb? lphuberdeau: I'm at 4MB on admin home
4.9 on HomePage jonnyb: i did "cd lib/test" then "phpunit ." rodrigo_sampaio: jonnyb: this is the right way jonnyb: used to work like that for me rodrigo_sampaio: jonnyb: which phpunit version are you using? my suggestion is for you to check if the bootstrap.php is being included or not jonnyb: PHPUnit 3.4.15 rodrigo_sampaio: jonnyb: I think that the problem is that for some reason phpunit is ignoring the bootstrap.php and that is why the tra() function is undefined
jonnyb: I have the same phpunit version
jonnyb: I had other problems but with phpunit 3.5 Trebly: <jonnyb> OK I made comparisons and your computer his 14th faster than my new one. and before I was 1/150 slower.
Nevertheless, regardless client computer often in many places with 2 or 3 Mb operational. This mean 300Ko/s and 5 second to transmit and near 8 seconds to load a page (depending of the local capability).
This can be acceptable for loading a portal, no to view an article or a wiki.
This is the reason why I began to work on a development with allows that the contents of a wiki or an article could be loaded with an ajax function.
The first part of the development had been to hav a div for each separated part of a page with an id.
The second step has been to use the actual navigators to run ajax request for the page (this need that tiki.tpl could deliver for paramaters only the requested content.
The third job had been to anticipate by loading some pages.
they used only generally 10 to 40ko and can work in hidden time.
Then tiki will be the faster for this type of read. 1/10s for refresh with a new page of an article or wiki page.
Because of the time taken by my computer I could not do it in noraml conditions jonnyb: Trebly: you just need to use the {jq} plugin on a page and a line of JS to do that - no dev required (or really wanted) back in tiki for v slow servers rodrigo_sampaio: jonnyb: wait a second, tra() is defined on lib/test/core/bootstrap.php and not lib/test/bootstrap.php jonnyb: rodrigo_sampaio: is that good? :P rodrigo_sampaio: jonnyb: I don't know :)
jonnyb: it is unexpected for me jonnyb: lphuberdeau: only 4MB? mine's showing 34MB for a homepage with about 10 modules (in french at the moment)
lphuberdeau: have you made some improvements there? lphuberdeau: you'd have to check those 10 modules
stock rodrigo_sampaio: jonnyb: huh... bootstrap.php include lib/init/tra.php and core/bootstrap.php define function tra() lphuberdeau: some of em don't behave jonnyb: calendar is one of them (i like to live dangrously!) lphuberdeau: calendar takes like 20M alone rodrigo_sampaio: jonnyb: so if bootstrap.php includes lib/init/tra.php my theory still makes sense. maybe for some reason phpunit is not considering your bootstrap.php and that is what is causing the error. I have to go now but tomorrow I can help you with that. we need to have a test suite that devs can run :) jonnyb: 0.0
rodrigo_sampaio: i added $api_tiki = 'pdo' to my test/local.php and now i get dozens of other errors... (absorbing)
basically it's moaning that none of the table exist (which is true)
hmm, no - it's made 32 of them... lphuberdeau: maybe the test db does not get upgraded? jonnyb: do i need to do something else, like run the installer again?
(will try) lphuberdeau: I don't know about that part jonnyb: no, it only runs db/local.php lphuberdeau: last time I upgraded the test DB I swapped files around ***: rodrigo_sampaio has quit IRC (Ping timeout: 252 seconds)
ricks99 has quit IRC (Quit: Now available, the first and only Tiki book. Get it at http://twessentials.keycontent.org) jonnyb: might it be a mysql user privilege thing i wonder?
also, the tables that were created had the wrong collation lphuberdeau: if I were you, I would just recreate that db jonnyb: did that - same issue - also switched the user to root
seems odd it's using adodb though, no? Trebly: <jonnyb> OK if we load the whole article with the first request. We will have 1.6 Mo regarless to 1.5 easy to do. and just change the hidden attribute with the js line when we want to change the place
but if as I thought about we have a quite heavy wiki structure we can't do so. We need request the pages and set them in the right place.
They are not very slow, half of Paris have these conditions and it is worse in other French provinces.
I will stay a few month in the center of France and the best speed is 4Mo (practically 2Mo). jonnyb: i'm also getting errors like: Base table or view not found: 1146 Table 'tiki_unittests.tiki_quicktags' doesn't exist (we killed quicktags versions ago) lphuberdeau: that is strange
got any svn locks?
I'm a bit surprised there were even tests around quicktags jonnyb: no, svn st all clear
bizarre - just grepped for tiki_quicktags and it's only in the old sql upgrade files (pre-v 3) and a few installer/schema files ***: redflo has joined #tikiwiki jonnyb: ok, giving in on tests, sorry - maybe a mac thing (used to work though) ***: rpg_ has quit IRC (Quit: rpg_)

A lib/jquery/jquery.sheet/jquery-ui/theme/jquery.ui.dialog.css
Is jQuery staying at the same version in 6.x? jonnyb: hmmm, good question - should be... -: marclaporte upgraded profiles.tiki.org jonnyb: svn properties on lib in proposals/6.x shows it fixed at r31188
ah, it's a nested external - jquery.sheet http://jquerysheet.googlecode.com/svn/branches/1.2.x/ not at a fixed revision :(

Something very strange here: http://suite.tiki.org/Tiki+Suite+Specialized+Components My menu labels get truncated!
and it's not a css thing, the menu label gets truncated upon save (very strange) jonnyb: no, i see - indeed odd marclaporte: I will ask Oliver to update, in case it's solved in later code jonnyb: haven't noticed anything like that, but worth a go ***: eromneg has quit IRC (Quit: ChatZilla 0.9.86.1 [Firefox 3.6.16/20110319135224]) jonnyb: doesn't seem to be happening on 7.x here
