LordVan: postgres is no longer supported. Several times attempts were made to get somebody with postgres skills to fix bugs and maintain it, but nobody volunteered.
Somebody worked on it for a while, but apparently didn't have time to continue.
The postres community was approached, but no luck there either.

chibaguy, i know i was just hopeful cuz i read the database independence page on dev.tiki.org .. that sounded bit more optimistic
database independence was dropped a few versions ago
actually, it was dropped a really long time ago, but people finally admitted it a few versions ago
yeah it sucks though i prefer postgresql to mysql
what is the main issue anway? single vs double quotes ?

what was the 'split' of tiki (a couple of versions back) that has like core modules and plugins seperate called again?

it was more modular - as opposite to one package for all with tiki
in my case i do like modular, but for low maintainance the one package for everything is very appealing ;)
since i'm just talking about a couple of personal / club pages where i don'T get paid anything ;)
one of the reasons why i chose tiki over that other one
back then -- my site is still running tiki 4.1 i think on postgres
but now that i guess - unless i do it myself, which i don't have the time for - tiki on postgresql is no option .. 
is there a way to take data from a postgresql tiki (4.1) install and move it to mysql?

we're glad they forked off, foswiki is much better off now and there is less name confusion

but one thing i notices was that in #twiki hardly anyone answered -> another point for tikiwiki back then
but yeah twiki page seems .. rather commercial
things like don't ask the devs install,.. questions it does not come with support .. hmmm

There's no import script.
there is no automated migration, and it really depends on what drupal plugins you use anyway
k cuz i'm not too happy with my drupal atm
upgrading with all those plugins as seperate downloads is a pain
