morning. i got a problem with a site, where the site logo is not shown to anon. any ideas?

LordVan: this theme has custom tiki.tpl and/or header.tpl files in templates/styles/themename/
LordVan: and it is possible it doesn't include the sitelogo div at all cases or on purpose

luciash, but isn't it an odd - or very special - case where you don't want anonymous to see your site logo?
LordVan: you can track the tpl file exactly in the source of the page if you enable TPL logging
do i enable that in the Look&Feel  / Theme settings? - also does it display it on the page or in some log?
it does display only as HTML comment in the generated page source

i don't blame you ;) the logic just says that to display the logo you need to have the custom site header code published or be an admin in the tpl

luciash, somehow the if conditions don'T make sense to me   -- for a default at least :D
LordVan: what you can try is to rename this theme specific tiki-site_header_options.tpl to ...tpl.bak and see if it is working already with the default one (it will use the default one if you rename/remove that specific file)

if it doesn't work, just rename back and live with that published checkbox ;)

LordVan, that Darkshine logo problem is a bug apparently. I'll fix it for the next release.
(Although in Tiki 7 there's no more theme site header .tpl files, so the problem goes away then.) 
Still, in Tiki 6 it should be fixed.

about the theme, it's a little bug but not trivial to solve (if you want the quickadmin for admin you need it enabled but it doesn't have to be necessarily published if you have something else in it, so it was logical, that by default it is not visible / published to non-admins)
oh, I see. I thought it would be simpler than that.
You know, I think creating themes, etc., will be easier in Tiki 7, due to the simpler site header area (modules instead) but site admins will have more trouble, compared to using the Look and Feel config page.
Or maybe I'm just not used to the new method yet.

Can I send a newsletter to a tracker item that has an email field?
in otherwords, can I do a query on a tracker and have a Newsletter sent to the email?
Or, for the newsletter, do i need to find a comma deliminated list from somewhere other than a tracker?
Hmm, two areas of Tiki I know least are ... newsletters and trackers. ;-) Hopefully someone else can tell you.
we would like to keep a tracker of our society's friends and contacts, who not all have user accounts, and getting that comma deliminated from .doc list is problematic.

well, the same icons to keep things easy, probably. A lot of icons can be overridden per theme but there aren't a lot of examples of that.
Strasa uses its own module open|close icons, one example.
i've always wanted an "icon" module, a place to crud system icons.
I think, with tracker, I might be able to create my own.

well, an easy method now is to just put 16px png files in themename/pics/icons and they'll be used for anything that has an {icon} in a smarty template.

Sylvie : i recall you use the newsletter feature. On a 6.2 (download package) and 6.2 svn i try to send a test newsletter and at the validation the page stay stuck on "Sending Newsletter …" however i can send or receive emails from the rest of the tw. Trying on tw7.
