I went through the admin panel and set the options the way I wanted them, now when the homepage is viewed there's a strange character set that looks like this f5c5beb92a60a8167c868fd1351ea1e5.  What did I do wrong?

spent a few hours on it but in the end couldn't reproduce it to fix it

no I don't - I stayed in the admin panel until I went over everything - then I clicked home page and saw that.  What part of the admin panel allows me to create a new home page?

admin/wiki lets you set any page you want as home

Sorry to bother you again, but that weird number/letter combo keeps coming back and generates a new one whenever the page is refreshed.

I just disabled the "Display page name as page title" option and it went away permanently.
