So some questions arise from that which might be answered already so ignore if. RobertPlummer: Is there a chance to make categorize work as in edit wiki pages (tab)? and is there a need for a type sheet, why not have an sheet (extended table) wikiplug-in? How can I sort by rows or colums as in fancytables? How to move a row/column up/down? How to paste a column/row (currently I copy a row and all cells are pasted into one cell)? Latest changes module does not see sheets. I am trying to allow registered users to create articles. In the menu module, under "New Article", it has tiki_p_read_article,tiki_p_edit_article in the permissions. Now, would I have to grant those two permissions for registered in order to have the menu item display for them ? or am I completely missing the boat on this... lol y, but u can also specify directly by selecting the Group for the option if with the right mix of permissions they can create the articles but it does not show in the menu, you can create your own menu the default menu should be seen as an administrator menu, not a user menu ok, I didn't know if the specific perms overrode the groups or vica versa not too sure about the specifics, but there are permission checks on menu items I never knew that.... I've always used it as both... specific perms are a subset of group ahhh... thanks for the info ricks :) it's just a terrible navigation for users for example, if you select Admin group, then reg will not see the item, regardless of the perm or section IIRC ic assigning the perm tiki_p_edit_article to registered did the trick thanks It's nice to finally have users request features!! :) New Forum Posts: wiki editor only for the blog - http://tiki.org/tiki-view_forum_thread.php?forumId=2&comments_parentId=41135 hi jonnyb hi rodrigo_sampaio1 jonnyb: as a reminder I saw a comment you left on installer/schema/20101230_create_top_modules_tiki.php: TODO uncomment when stable (pre Tiki 7 release) jonnyb: maybe it is time to uncomment the line that delete the old tiki preferences? oh yes, fair point either that of add a new schema maybe tiki 7 b1, there's no longer a REGISTER tab (in the default fivealive theme)? only way to register is by using the LOGIN link? :( jonnyb: I prefer to keep them together as they are related jonnyb: I'm testing a upgrade from 6.2 to 7.0 beta 1. copying the new files to the old installation and running installer/shell.php is enough or I need to do anything else? if you have a good test case there can you try uncommenting it? (i'm on other stuff at the mo, sorry) generally better to have a clean install and copy any modified files into it from the old one, imho jonnyb: I'm afraid I don't have a good test case to make sure it will work after uncommenting that line. me neither :( tikiwiki: 03jonnybradley * r34129 10/branches/7.x/lib/modules/modlib.php: [FIX] modules: Use perspective in module cache key (otherwise you get the wrong one) Hi, yesterday it was the pref feature_challenge. I change it directly in database. Nevertheless it remains the syntax error which makes the option inefficient even bugged. It's Rodrigo who have hold the module or had been the last to modify "mod-login_box.tpl" do I notice the problem to him ? It is a released version... I don't know how to avoid a lost of information. well done Trebly - as i said i've not used challenge response so wouldn't know what to look for (also don't have time, sorry) need to feed - bbl Hi, I found yesterday on a bug in \mod-login_box.tpl of 6.3 with pref "feature_challenge". If the option is chosen there is no way to login for anybody. 1- the option seems bugged 2- the js routine ChallengeResponse() is not active because : When we want to insert js written by a tpl we must use this syntax {literal} {literal} we get If we write {literal} {literal} we get jscode ); ?> all well escaped.... As I made this correction the ChallengeResponse() if valid option functions. I don't commit anything it is the job of quality team hi Trebly Trebly: I don't use challenge response feature as well so I don't if I can help you Trebly: my change on mod-login_box.tpl was not related with this feature as far as I can remember Trebly: i think your challenge thing is fixed in 7.x - JS is inside a {jq} block there (but i still can't get it to work! :) ) tikiwiki: 03jonnybradley * r34130 10/branches/7.x/lib/tiki-js.js: [FIX] codemirror: Replace text correctly (for bold etc) hi all... i can't figure out the "homepage for groups". I've tried everything i'm guessing its pointing to a wiki page I've created the page are you still with me jonnyb? just the url i'd have thought when owners login i want them to see the most recent articles so if you have sefurl on it would just be the page name tiki-view_articles.php isn't working what's a sef url? something like tiki-index.php?page=GroupHome search engine friendly i don't need search engines I just need a group member to get customized homepage so, just another wiki page I'll try again, hang on right! now I remember... Yes it is fixed in 7.x (I look at yesterday), the reason why, I have not tell about. Ok you tell me it doesn't work, may be it will. For 6.3 quality team a solution is to force the value to 'n' into tiki-setup and add a message, as I have done by security (and nothing to do into the module). This is a MAJOR Because the consequence is not to be able to log at all if the parameter is set to 'y' (without changing directly the pref into database). We can't allow to leave this as it is. Trebly: so it worked ok on 5.x or before? Trebly: i guess for now just add a note on the 6.x release notes explaining how to remove that pref from the database? I could find the solution but it is complicated with the quality. But before I had time to look at (I have a 5.3 running version) it should be well to lock the parameter. I could not work on before one month. It is easy to lock and on the stable 6.3 just release it should be done in my opinion. it need fixing in 7.x and then backporting to 6.x really - i don't have time now sorry crossed messages. Yes for the note and fix. But the note is a quality team problem, how to do, and a tiki-setup to download from a whishlist. if anything it should be done with an installer schema, but it's not a good solution imho (unless we remove the feature) oikin oikin :) With 6.3 I got another problem, curious. May be from my computer overloaded. When I load the /tiki-admin.php?page=general , when I want to run any other option than main (js) I get the 'loading' and nothing done. From the menu The buttons are inactive (I launch manually ..../tiki-admin.php?page=general to get it but after I get the same problem) tikiwiki: 03jonnybradley * r34133 10/trunk/ (27 files in 10 dirs): [MRG] Automatic merge, branches/7.x 34099 to 34131 sounds like a javascript problem - try switching xajax or js minify off (or both) It is not xajax alone; But which is the pref for js minify, I have not found it Performance admin panel Because I can't run the panels I change manually the prefs into the database of server to get back the prefs manager tiki-admin.php?page=performance hi luciash - thanks or you could search for it (i think, even if xajax is broken) hi jonnyb, np I got back good js functions using minify on js and xajax, I have a problem not with the server but with the station (I use a server which can be accessed by anybody - DynDNS) and a light portable (Latitude D800 and 2Go) to run Trebly: i don't understand, generated JS is always station (client) problem, not a server problem I've been at this group homepage problem for days. When I assign a group homepage the system creates a new page and in list pages it says tiki initialization. I'm lost and confuddled. do i create a homepage first or is one created and i edit that later? it's a normal page, but when the home page gets accessed for and it is not created, a default one is created I don't know how group home page is handled it isn't handled well or i'm still too much of a newbie maybe i should use a page id instead of a page name ? if the group's home page does not already exist, tiki creates one but i created the homepage first by "page" we're talking about a regular wiki page, right? and thought i was pointing to it ie: tiki-index.php?page=Welcome+Owner, but another page was created i think i have the wrong syntax for the edit group option Group Homepage or Url: hiya ricks if using wiki page, just use: Welcome Owner I'll try that. ;) omg!! it works! ;) and on admin: General, Navigation tab, do you have "use group home page" enabled? how could something so simple be so difficult I was thinking path, not name. sheesh let me try to fix this with the other groups all better now? it works great page names are even displayed! :) What was throwing me off was thinking it had to be a path to a page thanks guys and gals! so, on those group homepages I have I can now create almost anything? Add a shoutbox? Add articles? I'll try. if your group home page is a regular wiki page, then yes. you can add any sort of module or plugin Thanks again. polom hey marclaporte tikiwiki: 03robertplummer * r34134 10/branches/7.x/lib/wikiplugin_manual_purchase.php: [REM] Of wikiplugin_manual_purchase.php, a bad bad file tikiwiki: 03sampaioprimo * r34135 10/trunk/lib/wiki-plugins/wikiplugin_articles.php: control listing in wikiplugin articles by period of time tikiwiki: 03sampaioprimo * r34136 10/trunk/lib/wiki-plugins/wikiplugin_articles.php: user friendly values for period unit for articles wikiplugin tikiwiki: 03robertplummer * r34137 10/branches/7.x/lib/sheet/grid.php: [FIX] Removed ms excel file v0.1-dev from exportable list polom all hi RobertPlummer rodrigo_sampaio1: hello!
