Another downside of either Opera 11 or Tiki's wiki syntax highlighting: previously, edits would still exist if I tried to submit after timing out and had to use the browser back button, now they're lost.
kinda sucks.

chealer, in firefox, once the form is submitted, the data isn't retained if the the submit fails, or anyway that's how it was the last time I tried. In Opera, if I got a timeout or something, I could hit the back button and my data would still be in the form, due to local cache I guess.
Which was handy. I'll check on other types of forms to see if it's Opera that changed.

Just now in Tiki 7 (different problem) I'm finding I can't add a second menu module to a module zone.

Apparently so. But I've only noticed it so far in Tiki's wiki editpage textarea with codemirror turned on. I'm not sure if this is always the behavior.
chibaguy: Firefox will offer you to re-submit if you refresh after a POST. I would think this prevents the data from being lost
About the modules, I wanted to use "menu" twice in the top module zone, once for the secondary site menu and once for the main menu. It doesn't seem to work (second instance doesn't save as a new module assignment).

yeah, I used to use another tab to login again and then submit with the first tab in Opera, if being logged out was the problem.
LordVan, I don't know if there's an interface to edit that text, or if it needs to be done by making a custom language translation.

Yeah, and we have to keep in mind that the design should be generic, as its for distribution.
As it is, there is quite a bit of space for a logo. (Tiki's is rather wide.)
chealer, Fivealive is problematic because the logo size could vary according to the user's site, but the theme background doesn't move. Actually, tho Fivalive is a nice design, it has been a lot of work to make it function well as a flexible theme.
BTW, the default module parameter for the login form should be "popup", so it works correctly for Fivealive. That didn't get changed yet in branch 7.

chealer, I believe that's caused by the module parameter that is given to the login box by default. These position-related parameters should be removed, because the stylesheet has the info already.
I'm not sure where default module parameters are stored.
In other words, the modules that are activated in a new install by default need some parameters, like nobox=y, but they shouldn't have position parameters because these vary according to theme, and the stylesheets set the properties per theme.
chibaguy: defaults can be defined in a module's info function, but often the module function assumes a value if it's empty

Hm, it kinda sucks that Fivealive won't work for sites without some CSS fiddling (in admin modules parameters) for the logo image and site title text, but it's hard to figure out a method for things to work automatically due to the tapering of the border between the white and colored areas, etc.

It's a trade-off between fixing old bugs and introducing new ones, ricks99. The tikiwiki team usually moves the product in the right direction. Also, it's very difficult to downgrade your database from 7.x to 6.x, for example.

If I knew which 7.x branch commit broke this feature I'd update to the previous revision. I'm not on the trunk, actually, although I was for about a year. I'm on the 7.x branch head.
