Is anyone about at the moment?
I just had a question about external authentication with tiki wiki 6.3
It seems that PAM auth is broken (at least with PHP5 included with Debian Etch)
And tiki no longer supports IMAP authentication - I was wondering if there were any other methods which could tie into our PAM based auth system currently? ***: Caarrie|away has quit IRC (Ping timeout: 260 seconds)

OK, I count 23 opening DIV-s on the HomePage and only 20 closing DIV-s. now who wants to fix it? :-) ***: Broadgate has joined #tikiwiki Broadgate: Hullo there.
I got some help a couple of hours ago with an odd problem which seemed to be truncating comment posts after a blog entry.
So, as a test, I put the same text into a blog post itself ... and oddly, the same thing happened.
I thought it might be a pagination issue, so I applied pagnination, and that worked on the blog entry: the whole text was now readable.
Tried to add pages on the comment. Couldn't do it. luciash: what does the text contain ? Broadgate: Then I did a 65 paragraph Lorem Ipsum. That worked fine in the blog AND the comment!
The text that caused the problem was this: "__. She was a force of nature, [[almost __<- not needed__]. You'd only seen her through the glass of your cell, of course, but even then the air had [[rightly __<- don't see what you mean by 'rightly'__] crackled with electrics." luciash: might be it contains some characters which are considered as wiki syntax and it causes the trimming for some reason Broadgate: That looks like what happened. The really odd thing is that it's intermittent. luciash: the text starts with bold syntax but it doesn't close it later then Broadgate: The "[[ __<--] " string *sometimes* threw everything after "__" out. luciash: __ Broadgate: Ah -- that's actually closing off an earlier piece of bold.
"__[[bring subject to start of sentence; continuity - character doesn't have access to papers?]__. She was a force of nature, [[almost __<- not needed__]" luciash: ah, ok
where it trimms ? Broadgate: The next odd thing is that I tried a mixture of different sentences.
And, now, anytime I use "__<" it will throw the text away.
Even though sometimes in the previous text, it doesn't. luciash: ah, i see, it considers it to be a start of HTML tag
do you have HTML allowed ?
you should use ← instead
maybe Broadgate: I do have it allowed, but that's not the problem, because there are lots of instances in the text where it's quite happy to have <- in it. luciash: or disable allowance of HTML in wiki syntax areas Broadgate: Good idea, just in case.
Thanks luciash. ***: Broadgate has quit IRC (Quit: Page closed) Tiki|bot: Recent Bug: Tracker item: #3880 - - Smarty Template indicator: add a note for tiki.tpl and error.tpl after the doctype - http://dev.tiki.org/tiki-view_tracker_item.php?trackerId=5&itemId=3880 ***: Trebly has quit IRC (Remote host closed the connection)
