At least not when short urls is on. Tiki treats the directory name as a page name. Well, it could also be a server issue for me. ..because of its being a pointed-to domain in a subdirectory of the main domain. chibaguy: on which website ? changi|away: on my own site, not public yet. tikiwiki: 03jonnybradley * r34757 10/branches/7.x/lib/wiki-plugins/wikiplugin_category.php: [FIX] category plugin: Allow "plus" characters required for multiple object types tikiwiki: 03jonnybradley * r34758 10/branches/proposals/6.x/lib/wiki-plugins/wikiplugin_category.php: [bp/r34757][FIX] category plugin: Allow "plus" characters required for multiple object types I wonder how to get the "normal" history version comparison of a wiki page. The page content is inside an HTML plugin, but i want to see where I added some div tags. None of the diff view options (even advanced) shows the actual html syntax, so is fairly useless. Seems like the context of an HTML plugin should show as syntax, not as final display, in at least one of the diff options. hi chibaguy hi jonnyb not seen that problem - doesn't the "normal" side-by-side diff show it? (as encoded html source) Would "normal" be "Side-by-side diff"? i thought so, normal for wiki pages me too. I've got {HTML(wiki="0")}some html syntax, etc. {HTML} in a wiki page, and no actual syntax shows in the diffs, of anything within the plugin. I went through all the diff options. The site is several-days-old tiki 7. I'll try in the current branch files. hmm, that sounds like it's changed somewhere - in the parser probably It seems ok in my local svn branch 7, so I'll update the problem-site files. Hopefully a false alarm. Hello all. Please, how do I change a child category to a parent ccategory? hi Manna - on category admin, you can change the parent cat to "top" what does that do to a child category? all categories are child categories (children of "top") it just moves the category around in the category tree ok, so I move the category to "Top" and it is no longer a child of another category? yup then adding children to that would make it a parent okay. thank you. One more Q, if you don't mind. (although children can be parents too) How do I un-inheret permissions form one grou to another? "from one group to another" generally there's no "deny" mechanism in tiki perms, you can only "grant" permissions So I would have t re do the group from scratch? so if a group inherits from another it generally will get get more perms granted probably just change the inheritance, i think okay. How would I do that? in group admin (edit the group) then click on what? have you seen this? http://doc.tiki.org/groups and the page on permissions too what you click on depends on what you've already set up, i'm afraid yes. That's what I've been seeing. In the original set up I had a button that said something like "group inherits permissions from" and a tick bocx. I am looking for a way to undo that. the admin groups section does not have it. when i edit a group in tiki-admingroups.php i see a list of groups titled: "Inherit permissions directly from following groups." let me check for that....brb I have taht in a title but not in a place I can manipulate it. what am I over looking? It's not in the "object permissions llit" either 'list' no, in admin groups click on the name of the group you want to edit going there... Ah! I found it. Thank you. Tiki is such a maze! I can take it from here. Thanks again. super - good luck! does anyone understand the category plugin? Question on login. Is it possible to set it up so that a user can log in with their email, password, and a code I give them...and another user can log in with their email, password, and a different code I give them, and each be taken to a seperate group/section? tikiwiki: 03jonnybradley * r34759 10/branches/7.x/lib/categories/categlib.php: [FIX] categories: Fix getting multiple categories in "and" mode and stop ignoring maxRecords in get_categoryobjects (previous workaround) tikiwiki: 03jonnybradley * r34760 10/branches/7.x/lib/categories/categlib.php: [FIX] categories: Missing $and param from previous commit tikiwiki: 03jonnybradley * r34761 10/branches/proposals/6.x/lib/categories/categlib.php: tikiwiki: [bp/r34759+60][FIX] categories: Fix getting multiple categories in "and" mode and stop ignoring maxRecords in get_categoryobjects (previous workaround) tikiwiki: Also partial bp/r32018 to handle an array of types Hello. please, How do I get teh admin page fromshowing up on evry body's log in? I mean the admin menu. It is showing up for registerd users Manna: it's a module - use the modules admin groups setting for that one jonnyb: thank you! I have assigned the Mnu modules to their respective groups, yet all three are showing up in a regestered login. The Guest Menu is only showing up for anonymous users-good. but when a guest registers they get the guest menu, the registered menu, and the admin menu.. What am I missing? in the admin menu parameters it says 'flip=y". What does that mean? polom anyone who succeeded using tracker item rating in 6.x? hi xavi - no, not me - first time i used them was when updating them for 7 it doesn't seem to work for me in a new tiki (based on proposls_6x) :-/, but I gues it has been working for ages in dev.t.o using tiki6... hi jonnyb ok, thanks i think there are two types in 6.x - it was all very messy we are organizing better the in camps in squares in Barcelona and many other cities in Catalonia (at least) and I made a proposals of site with tiki6 with trackers to allow a decentralized way of aggregating proposals, and allowing the crowds (!) to vote on them.-... but the voting doesn't seem to work (even if it worked, afair, in dev.t.o/tracker5 ) anyway... "mi gozo en un pozo" (as we use to say) :) how are things going in UK/London? do you also have some campers in some squares in the city? good thanks - warm here :-) "campers"? warm today also here (after a rainy week) :-) not really hold on... http://takethesquare.net/ mmmm, and yes, there seem to be some occupied squares in UK. Ihve done that I logged out and logged back in with a non-admin address to check. jonnyb! the problem dissapears when I switch lang to English! :-/ @jonnyb: I guess there is some javascript weirdness due to apostrophes. Help! can you have a quick look? ok - you have a url? http://unaltremonespossible.org/Propostes @jonnyb: sorry, it's not in english (the content) xavi: I logged in as a non-admin, yes Manna: and? xavi: I got all three menus jonnyb: just switch lang (module on the right hand side, bottom). With english, the vote is shown, with catalan, it isn't yes i see - odd Manna: let's see: admin menu: you should only select the "admin" group to that module, so that only admins can see that module this wya, when a registered (non-admin) logs in, he/she won't see that module xavi: it's not a javascript problem - so not the usual {tr} quotes issue and also, check that here: tiki-admin.php?page=module , you have this option disabled: Display modules to all groups always xavi: I did that. . and I only selected 'registered' for the registered menu module, and I only selected 'anonymous' for the guest menu. Manna: and for the module with the admin menu? xavi: where will I find that "tiki-admin.php?page=module " is that in the modules section? Manna, what's your url? http://feelitreallyworks.terrificideas.net/ xavi: and I only selected admins for the application module Manna: have you been to http://feelitreallyworks.terrificideas.net/tiki-admin.php?page=module ? you can get there from the main admin page too going there now xavi: looks like ratings don't work in anything apart from english yes, jonny, I got the same impression :-( can you try it in 7.x? nope, sorry (I don't have that timeÇ). I should have been at the meeting today ... (if I hadn't found these issues) well, I can do a quick test on dev.t.o xavi: got hte page up. nothing is checked. Manna: sorry, no idea. I tried to register to your site, but email didn't arrive yet, and getting busy here. Sorry, and good luck. ok, sorry i also can't get into 6.x trackers now - it's never trivial :( xavi: have a miraculous day! jonnyb, no problem. thks, same for jonnyb :-) jonnyb, it works in Tiki7 (in dev.t.o at least, once set in Catalan also), so unluckily, it seems specific from tiki6, which means that there are high chances that no one dares about it... :-/ s/dares about it/cares about it s/no one/just too few coders it does seem odd no one's spotted this before mmm, imagine the amount of things to spot on Tiki 7 yet.... that's why I do not plan to update in many months, if I can..., unluckily (I can't cope with the issues, and not knowing enough to fix them myself) Hey guys! and the good coders are too busy coding new features.... for the next big version (too frequently, imho) hi Jyhem Hello, again. I just discovered that not only are the registered users getting the admin menu, they are also getting the full admin permissions! I looked in the 'users' section and they are only in the default registered group yet have full admin prmissions. Jyhem: +1 if you can work out a better way i'd agree too Manna: read this: https://doc.tiki.org/Permissions & revise your perms in your site (global and object's perms) hi Jyhem I offer money for coders willing to fix those annoying bugs in 6.x LTS hello Jyhem hi chibaguy ! xavi: thank you. will do. hi xavi but most coders are too busy with 7.x, and soon, with 8.x, etc. (and LTS seems to be mostly unattended) @Manna : check that you don't have Anonymous as sub-group of Registered, or worse: Admins included in Registered hi chibaguy, Jonny, Xavi about tiki 7 being rough, I think that was expected from the beginning, and that tiki 6 would be for most live sites. of course the bugs that come up that aren't part of the new features or revamps are a bummer. I was surprised to see a page appear in the menu that shouldn't have, according to the page's access permission, in a tiki 7 site. I need to update the site and try again. otoh, it's painful to work on site header things in tiki version older than 7 now. :-D wohoo, chibaguy getting cloned! jonnyb, shall I do the same for you, so that we can have the help of 2 jonnyb? xavi, I hope you make jonnyb's clone more productive than mine is. ;-) ;-) see, the guy just quit. I'll have to take over. :) hard to get good clones these days :-) then again, I'm sure you get them for free, so you can't complain :-) jonnyb, I reconsidered my options... and I think that I will try a tiki7 with this site of mine yay! you'll enjoy it i'm sure well, mostly :P since that voting seems to work there... and that site is just a proposal... (even if I fear that there must be much less chances that everything works in Tiki7 than in proposals_6x....) ftp'ing is a slooow process (same for updates, etc.) Jyhem, yes, that's true. well, when it comes to trackers there may be a few bits broken worse, but there were so many little inconsistencies in them before that on the whole i think 7 should be an over all improvement xavi: not even cpanel? radek82: nope plus, when we do identify a bug it's possible to fix it because there's only one copy of each piece of code now! yeah, thats a PITA jonnyb: well done, then! however, is plugintrackerlist available in Tiki7??? or equivalent, but similarly documented? yes, i believe so no, all the old plugins are still there i have a feeling there are some edge case pretty tracker issues deep in there somewhere, but i've never managed to track them down for new stuff though we're supposed to use the new {list} plugin, but i've barely had a chance to look at it yet should be about a million times faster than trackerlist :-) bye for now - maybe bbl see you jonny tikiwiki: 03yonixxx * r34764 10/branches/7.x/templates/tiki-list_file_gallery.tpl: [bp/34668]Rollback - Added the share this feature to list file gallery tiki-list_file_gallery.tpl rolledback on 7.x johnny… cu polom hi Bernard - thanks for that hi chealer hi jonnyb. jonnyb: np, as i wrote my bad for 7.x.
