Done...
But the same in the screen: nothing
Thanks for your help, marclaporte.... I will try with DocuWiki.... or something similar.... I am starting and, in this moment, is the same for me a Wiki solution or another....
One final question: I need a wiki to small company project documentation. Is the wiki a real solution for this ?
One of our requirements is the off-line reading/editing of the wiki. Is it possible with TikiWiki ? Is it possible with another wiki solution ?
Thanks...
Best regards to all.... see you...

Merbster: Does TikiWiki use the Exceptions that PHP5 offers? (I am wondering if ADODB has it's exception support enabled in TikiWiki).
marclaporte: the default is now PDO
Merbster: I have noticed ADODB being included. Is it going to be outphased in coming version?
marclaporte: That hasn't been proposed or discussed
There have been instances that because of a particular setup, PDO doesn't work well, and people revert to ADOdb
I remember that 1 plugin (DBReport or something) isn't happy with PDO
***: d6chung has quit IRC (Remote host closed the connection)
marclaporte: Do you think ADOdb should stay in? and why?

marclaporte: lucky you :-)
Merbster: That's why I'm wondering what the difference is.
marclaporte: and lucky us :-)
Merbster: haha. I doubt it has something to do with luck, usually th best(most flexible) products wins ^

marclaporte: ok, in that case, I think you should pretend ADOdb doesn't exist
Merbster: thank you
^^
marclaporte: For several years, we tried to support many databases, and ADOdb was important for that
but we gave up on that goal and streamlined/took fuller advantage of MySQL
Merbster: tbh that's the only thing I find annoying. That we're bound to mysql. :P
But I guess it's my perfonal preference, I prefer something a bit more robust and stable than mysql.

Atleast mysql seems to be focusing more on stability after it got consumed by the big evil (i.e. Oracle) ;)
marclaporte: hehe
Merbster: can I assume that I have the correct references to PDO allready (in my tiki plugin that is) ?
marclaporte: yes, by default, all is setup for PDO

Merbster: lphuberdeau, That is usually the case yes.
Now I just have to wait for PHPGrid to figure out why including their grid in tikiwiki fucks up their include path in ther obfuscated code...
and it's not just bad code, it's delibaretly obfuscated so I can't fix it myself.
Atleast it's not an entirely bad day. We got our "Ball dropping machine" and report delivered today.
lphuberdeau: what does phpgrid do that you need?
Merbster: lphuberdeau, it gives me almost insta CRUD access to database tables with a nice ajax enabled UI.
Autogenerates SQL for the CRUD operations etc.
so basically it's just a timesaver
And it supports Master-> Detail and Master -> Several detail tables.
And also nested master detail structures. (so I can describe a hierarichal structure easily)
lphuberdeau: I guess it depends on what you need to do with it
Merbster: I jsut need quick access to a couple of tables that are in master->detail structures (parent/child )
And I bought it initially because I thought I could build this "case following schema" in the PHPGrid but it doesn't allow you to manually fill in rows and columns.
(i.e. your columns and rows are FORCED to be in a database, no in memory structure where you can manipulate the layout etc.)

why object id (in this case fileId) is not enough when it is unique ?
lphuberdeau: you would need to ask the author of that plugin

but it is true, the plugin author could make it working by id only by splitting at the ? char

my guess is that for the tiki stats it was easier to store it with the object title to display it in the stats listing than doing a join and asking the object title by id in other tables
no idea who designed it but it could be more clever to make an extra column for that though

where?
changi: there is a global $smarty set in lib/setup/absolute_urls.php
when i execute php installer/shell.php, this script 99999999_image_plugins_kill_tiki failed with an error on a non object
i comment the line in lib/setup/absolute_urls.php, and now it's working, but i'm not sure if it has another impact

maybe he will see my email

ricks99: 7.0rc2 anytime soon?
chealer: hi ricks99. it will rather be 7.0
changi seems to be on it
ricks99: all bugs/blockers fixed? coolio :-)
chealer: changi: I don't know what to do with that. that patch has been causing problems since it appeared. I think it should be discussed with jonnyb and we should again re-evaluate if the patch is reasonable or not.
ricks99: well, more or less. there are a couple serious bugs
-: ricks99 happy to stay on LTS for a while
chealer: ricks99: I looked at http://tiki.org/ReleaseNotes7.0 and http://doc.tiki.org/Tiki7 and didn't really grasp the distinction
the minimal PHP version bump should be on the release notes page?
changi: chealer: ok
ricks99: do you have some blockers to show ?
ricks99: the page on doc (Tiki7) is a feature list -- what's new/changed. The RelaseNotes is important info B4 you install. The installer has links to release notes
did php version requirement change for 7?
@changi: not sure if blocker, but the issue with structures is sort of serious
changi: ricks99: was not aware of that
but actually, i have some db structur problem to fix before everything
ricks99: sent to dev list last wk: http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/forum.php?thread_name=24844301429b280abb7eef9113d239ec%40keycontent.org&forum_name=tikiwiki-devel
chealer: ricks99: yes, it raised from 5.1 to 5.2
ricks99: shouldn't http://doc.tiki.org/Tiki7#Upgrade be in the release notes? currently it seems quite lost is a sea

ricks99: @chealer: the relnotes "upgrade" secion contains a link to Tiki7#upgrade is that whatyou mean?
the other issues are identified in Important Chnages section
RelNotes should be short & sweet.
(IMHO)
chealer: ricks99: I mean the upgrade notes in Tiki7#upgrade doesn't fit "feature list -- what's new/changed"
it's upgrade notes
ricks99: i agree
chealer: I would see that in the release notes
ricks99: feel free to move it :-)

ricks99: @changi: u know the old saying about when you "assume" things

ad_: thanks your the best one more question
A new version of Tikiwiki, 5.4, is available. You are currently running 5.3. Please visit http://tikiwiki.org/Download.
so can i just go straight to the newest 7 without fresh install

chealer: changi: I was just upgrading my 7.x, so I figure it's normal
changi: ad_: yes you can
chealer: yes
chealer: changi: possible originally installed as a 6

chealer: sylvieg: regarding r34868, wouldn't tra() support the argument, instead of using sprintf?
sylvieg: chealer: was not working ... no idea why
chealer: sylvieg: it wasn't working because it was trying to translate the sentence as displayed, with the variable replaced
(so there was no matching translation)
but I think tra supports parameters to avoid sprintg
sylvieg: I know tra is supporting the param - but it was the param that was not working
if you want to change - perhaps you willbe more lucky
***: changi|away has quit IRC (Ping timeout: 276 seconds)
chealer: sylvieg: sprintf ran before tra. say the parameter is "Bob".
tra(sprintf('The file is locked by %s', $fileInfo['lockedby'])) means tra(sprintf('The file is locked by %s', "Bob"))
which means tra('The file is locked by Bob')
tra won't find a translation for that
sylvieg: did I commit the opposite?
chealer: you changed for sprintf(tra('The file is locked by %s'), $fileInfo['lockedby'])
sylvieg: so this is right
I could have use tra with a params but was not working...
chealer: which must work, but I think it could use a parameter to tra()
sylvieg: Oh
sylvieg: did you try with %0?
sylvieg: yes
sorry I had a limitted amount of time...
chealer: sylvieg: are you aware that you have to use tr() for that (or pass dummy arguments with tra())?
