hi all
is there a way to get a db-dump of the doc.tiki.org site?
Guys. Can you help me configure LDAP login for 6.3? I am using the exact same settings as my 4.2 installation, but I get "Unable to bind to server: Invalid credentials" when I try to login.
the 4.2 installation is running on the same server and is currently working fine.
php-errors upon login: http://pastebin.com/1wpFi4te
looks like a configuration error
I think the binding errors are caused by the prior ones
which prior ones?
but I can't really help

can any1 tell me, where the plugin code files (where i can find the code for the {GROUP} plugin)
are?
wikiplugin_group.php
got it
:)
polom
hi there luciash
hi SiL3NC3
searching for the place, where i can find the code, which handles the {GROUP} function
SiL3NC3: huh, i thought you've got it
lib/wiki_plugins/
hey guys.. trying to show a forum section in a wiki but a unsure how to do it.. can anyone help?
but the script seem only to check the groups not doing the logical stuff for the syntax
SJ-Jay: i think, this is not possible at the moment (but i hopefully may be wrong), but would be veeeery nice to have this. the forums need some improvements ... imho
hi SJ-Jay
Hey :)
you mean in one single wiki page ? if there's no wikiplugin specialized u might try the SNARF wiki plugin (if it exists and works still) to get a URL and regexp part of it into the page
luciash: can you give me a hint, where this syntax is handled ... ?
SiL3NC3: can't now, but it must be included
hm
SiL3NC3: in the wikiplugin_group.php script
i have it opened only round about 110 lines
SiL3NC3: or i don't understand what you mean by "this syntax"
and only doing check, not output handling there
SiL3NC3: no tpl reference there ?
GROUP wikiplugin acttually only does the check
what output you mean ?
$smarty->assign('groupValid', 'n'); (is the only possible stuff i found)
it displays only something when group matches or doing else
no tpl
it does no formatting output
ah okay, needs a deeper look ;)

hey guys. If I wanna make a link that goes to someone's user page (ie: user:overseer), what do I need to do?
will this work? tiki-index.php?page=user:%user%
Guys. Can you help me configure LDAP login for 6.3? I am using the exact same settings as my 4.2 installation, but I get "Unable to bind to server: Invalid credentials" when I try to login.
what is your ldap bind type?
overseer: if you want to put the link in a wiki page, if you turn on http://doc.tiki.org/Wiki+Argument+Variables and then use that it might work
ok, what if i want to make a menu item go there?
overseer: try ((user:{{user}}))
overseer, i can't remember if menu items parse completely, worth a try...
nope, it tried to go to the page "user:{{user}}
"
try on a wiki page first
that one worked
ok, a bit roundabout but if you point the menu item to a wiki page, and on that page use https://doc.tiki.org/pluginRedirect, itmight work
ok
any other ideas on how to do it?
not for menu item...
ok
thanks!
tikiwiki: 03jonnybradley * r34967 10/branches/7.x/lib/smarty_tiki/function.preference.php: [FIX] perspectives: Better handling of nonexistent prefs in perspectives (so you can remove them by dragging)
yup! that worked
stix: not sure, but there might be some clue on http://doc.tiki.org/LDAP+authentication&structure=Documentation+TOC Check your LDAP Bind type
bind type is good
the settings are the same (exactly) as in my 4.2 installation
try anonymous bind just for testing.... perhaps in 4 there was a bug where bind was always anonymous or something
same same
it would be nice with some documentation from someone who had done it against a Windows server 2003 AD
there is an example somewhere wait
well, on the page I linked to just now there is an example
LDAP Bind Type = Active Directory
yes I tried to follow that
mine is really close...
what about the search scope?
Subtree should be the widest
that's what I use

hi RobertPlummer, is your LDAP that you've been configuring AD 2003 and Tiki 6.3?
nkoth: It is authenticating, but tiki isn't reading it.
what do you mean "reading"
I think it may be an issue when it goes to log the user's data, and the log text field isn't big enough, whod a thunk it.
i thought i fixed the log text field isn't big enough problem
maybe I didn't commit (oops)
this was about a year ago...

I'd like to apply it, it is for 6.3

Is it just me, or do other people find line returns getting removed when text is moved into a plugin (like BOX)?
I have some short sentences in wiki text that I want each on its own line. When I put a BOX plugin around them, all the breaks are wiped.
(branch 7)
hi chibaguy - at one point i put in some code to not add linebreaks after single lines being parsed, but i thought nkoth rolled it back
it was useful for using {include} to add inline text, and i thought if you want carriage returns you could put them in specifically, rather than them being added non-optionally
Do you mean page editors need to add a break tag at the end of every sentence where text stops?
chibaguy, i think the exact problem you are talking about is restructed to the box plugin
oh, I see.
or possibly other plugins as well ...
well, I had a related problem in DIV.
I had a series of centered lines. In normal wiki text each ends in
.
div would perhaps have the same problem
I'm still trying to understand the cirrect fix
But in the div plugin, I get
, that spreads these single lines out a lot.
in the div plugin you get intervening paras?
can you put your wikitext in pastebin, I'd like to try...
hi ricks99 - i didn't fix it, just hid it :)
but thanks
counts as a fix for me :)
nkoth, the site is still at 7 beta, not totally up to date.
good morning and polom to all. just wanted to pop in and say i fixed the permission issue I was having by creating a private room. but now having the same issue with calendar events only showing for admin and not groups.
also, chibaguy, what is your admin-editing&plugin setting?
so... question... can calendar events be categorized?
codyg: i don't think so
but separate *calendars* can be categorized (iirc)
hiya ricks99... i can't find a way to do that.
chibaguy: box is bad for me but div is ok (with my settings)
tikiwiki: 03jonnybradley * r34970 10/branches/7.x/lib/setup/twversion.class.php: [REL] Update the version string and add 7.0 to tikiVersions()
wait...
right... i found it and edited it for the Owners group
nkoth: http://pastebin.com/YVhgCZxD
but group still can't see events
probaly need global perms
when you create a new calendar (or edit) you can specify a category
nkoth: http://pastebin.com/5Ak2LS4X fixes one of the centered text tags.
yes... i found that
got that part
nkoth: http://pastebin.com/29TLW7gF fixes another :: rrr.
but for plugin on wiki page, events are not there except for admin
wait for it....
oh my supernovas i'm such a duck
was missing }...
now all is good.
nkoth, wait, sorry. The problem seems to be fixed in the current branch 7.
i so struggled with permissions that i thought this was another permissions struggle
but it was just a typo struggle
I can see where building pages can get really complex, what with modules and plugins all sharing space on the same wiki page.
interesting, but very powerful. I love it.
nkoth, well, maybe not fixed after all.
Or at least part way. No paragraphs, but divs are block elements already so no need for the
tag, which is creating extra white space.
chibaguy: sorry, I am not clear what wikitext you have and or settings for the paragraphing you have - it does make a difference
chibaguy: i got your wikitext from pastebin
I'll check my paragraph settings.
chibaguy and all - i'm thinking off adding the (default) group name to the body class for all pages, so you can easily use CSS to hide stuff - think that's a good idea? or not...
by the way, did we ever work out what the benefit of having every single page be body.tiki ?
jonnyb, maybe Jyhem has an idea about that (body.tiki) as he was involved in the discussion. I don't know of any reason myself. I thought it got added by accident.
i think so too - probably should leave it in for 7.1 but kil it in trunk...
how about being able to target stuff by body.anonymous so you can hide stuff?
Sorry, jonnyb, can you give an example of how this would be useful?
jonnyb: sorry I don't really get it, isn't body everything?
yes (well, apart from the
