*head -> wall* okay sorry. that up there was just the error when you try a wrong combo. problem is: when i try to login the server creates two segmentation faults and dies, on the web-end that causes a 500

cyrusae, but I have had problems with ldap module in tiki 6.3
Currently we run 6.3 with ldap module from 6.1
I am trying to setup batch upload for the file galleries.
I gave it a correct UNC path. and I am pretty sure the server has access to the file. But yet Twiki keeps saying that it's an incorrect directory chosen for batch upload of files.

is the tiki-custom_home feature depreciated? can only find the setting through search and it states that it is not found in an admin panel. is there a replacement for trunk I missed?
got it have to change the wiki-feature settings to custom home too
***: Merbster has quit IRC (Ping timeout: 240 seconds)
chibaguy: coaboa, yes, it is deprecated because the thinking is that a wiki page can accomplish the same layout, etc., so no need for a special file.
coaboa: nice: trying to actvate tiki-custom_home feature under general prefs-Navigation-Home Page: and saving the pref ends up in switching back to wiki as hompage feature. enabling grouphomepages alongside and it kept the setting.
chibaguy: ah, I've had trouble setting a certain page or feature as homepage in recent Tiki versions.
(as others have also, judging from forum posts)
coaboa: chibaguy: have to have the .wikitext in a different size and style @ HomePage only
any hint as the css selector olso effects all wiki articles? thatsw hy I look for tiki-custom_home

some {IF $page} thing in custom code?
***: GillesMM has joined #tikiwiki
chibaguy: coaboa, you can look at the <html> tag in your page source and find the page's "id='page_1'". Then have a #page_1 .wikitext CSS rule.
("1" varying depending on the page.)
I think that's probably the easiest way to customize the look of one page.
coaboa: cool & thx. forgott that (last time you told me that it doesn't work as I was on some "older" version. that'll do the trick
chibaguy: sure. the css id is the same as the Tiki pageId if that is turned on to display on the page or page listing, but looking at the source is an easy way to find it.
coaboa: btw: tobe able to switch back to wiki page as home I had to activate grouphomepages again to be effective... seems to be reproducable.
chibaguy: I see. There do seem to be some bugs in there.

anyone knows how to make a TOC on a child page in a structure?

{toc} will show the children of a given page, in a structure

SJ-Jay: i have a structure with a TOC which shows just fine. but the TOC on the child pages are blank
ricks99: not sure (i don't see it on my 6 LTS sites) just a notice tho....
does the child page have its own children?
cyrusae: too bad its not just a notice, since that process just dies the page doesnt get shown
ricks99: if the child page does not have children of its own, then {toc} will be blank (as expected)
SJ-Jay: yep
well actually its the child pages children which is missing the TOC
ricks99: {toc} only shows pages that are children of the exixting page (on which you have the {toc}

SJ-Jay: ricks99, I LOVE YOU!

SJ-Jay: ricks99, up for another one?
got a tricky one this time
or anyone else perhaps? :P
ricks99: what's the issue?
SJ-Jay: i've been using the plugin CATPATH
which gives me some of the feature that i'm looking for..
i want to show other wiki pages that has the same kategories as the one i'm looking at
ricks99: you simply want each wiki page to show all the other pages that are within the same category?
SJ-Jay: yeah but in a TOC way
ricks99: simply enable the "show category objects" option. you can modify the CSS as needed to stylize/format the listing
don't need to use the plugin
SJ-Jay: yeah but this will show it on all wiki pages right?
ricks99: it will show the objects that belong to the same category as the currently viewed page
SJ-Jay: yeah i know.. but if i enable this option it will show all objects on all wiki pages.. i just want them to show on specific pages?
and i only want to show specific objects like wiki pages..
ricks99: ok. then use the category plugin
***: rodrigo_sampaio has quit IRC (Quit: Leaving.)
SJ-Jay: ricks99, sorry.. i think i mixed up some thins :)
actually i don't want to show wiki pages that belongs to the same categories as the wiki page im on
i want to show a listing of the categories that the wiki page belongs to
ricks99: k, then yes, catpath
SJ-Jay: which is exactly what catpath does, but the problem is that catpath also shows the parent categories
or breadcrum
this i don't want
ricks99: breadcrumb is not category listing
SJ-Jay: i only want to see the actual category
ricks99: will need to either customize the catpath listing (tpl or css), or use tags instead
categories are, by their very nature, hierachial
rick has a question..... cn tiki generate a unique lilnk for a specific file gallery item? for example, i have a use-case that i need to give multiple users their own, unique link to download an item from a file gallery. i need to track per-user. possible?
lphuberdeau: tell a friend with token access would work for non-registered users
ricks99: what about registered users?
lphuberdeau: well, it would work as well if they don't normally have access to the file
ricks99: so i would need to make the file unavailable via regular perms, but with the token link it would work?
and i'm using tiki 6lts
(if that matters)
lphuberdeau: it generates a token for the link (and a new URL basically) and there is some control over the life of the token (duration, amount of hits, ...), and when the token is used, the rights from the sharer are used
ricks99: off to read up on tokens. tx lph. this may work

I googled for this error, but it says I can change the max mem size. That seems kinda weird for a fresh install
mem limit is set at 32M. Is this not enough?
rodrigo_sampaio: Mark___: http://doc.tiki.org/Requirements#PHP
Mark___: you probably have to increase your PHP memory limit
xavi: Mark___: it should be fine
which tiki version?
Mark___: I already changed to 32M in php.ini
xavi: (32MB should be fine for most things on small and medium sized tikis with average features on, +-)
Mark___: Latest version 7.0. I just dl-ed and installed it, so very, very small
xavi: rodrigo_sampaio: is your change a good candidate for backporting to 6x LTS? :-)
Mark___: try 6.x LTS (it should be fine). Otherwise, there might be an error somewhere
rodrigo_sampaio: xavi: I knew someone was going to ask :P
xavi: 7.0 might have some bugs affecting memory footprint

tiki_p_admin_a_feature/object should grant permission to admin that feature/object
if listing users is key for that tracker, then +1 to grant that perm with tiki_p_admin_tracker ?
