We've only had success with /lib/auth/ldap.php from tiki version 6.1 all the ldap.php from newer versions doesn't work.

there are a lot of fixes and good things between 6.1 and 6.4 (about 400 commits i seem to remember)
jonnyb, I think we will be moving to Tiki7 because it solves alot of problems
for example it fixes bugs in the webserivce module.
So far it seems the only thing that breaks is hte login part of our theme
yes, much better idea if you can - especially if you're not upgrading an old site
the new modules in the top bit thing is pretty quick to fix stuff like that though (and you won't want to go back)

it is not very hard to copy paste the code from galleriffic and to replace the specific jq code and tpl .. the only pb of this is when the jq/css of the tool is not enough generic and conflicts with tiki

That is one of the reasons we should use it as a total replacement to textarea.
all, one thing to remember that needs improvement with the syntax highlighter is that nested syntaxes, ie __''Bold & Underline''__ will only respect the most outlying syntax style, in this case __bold__.
