walter_	Hello: I need some help, i am upgrading to 6.4 (multitiki) and i am not getting 'upgrade' button when running tiki-install.php I am upgrading from 3x to 6.4, I choosed to go trough 3x --> 4x --> 5.4 --> 6.4 When installing 5.4 (I have got both 'install' and 'upgrade' buttons) May be related: When upgrading to 5.4 I have got the message Operations failed: 72 SQL queries. "If you think that the errors of a patch can be ignored, please check the checkbox associated to it before clicking on continue." Merbster	i am experiencing something really weird. I have added a php script to handle a form that I use in a custom plugin. All objects in that handler script, if they have an attribute (public field) called type, it will have the value "tiki" whenever you access it on the object, but when you assign the object's type attribute to another variable, it will show the correct value. :S	[07:56]

chibaguy	hi Merbster Is this a bug (anybody)? The tracker field 'user selector' has an option "Select list items that will be displayed:" and lists all users. Apparently users be selected on this list to display in the dropdown list for this item. It doesn't work though. All users are listed. Is this a known problem (branch 7)?	[10:10]

fabricius	I did solve it now this way: each startpage of a logical "area" has the name: "gm+areahomepagename" and the perspective has the homepage: "areahomepagename" (gm are just the initial characters of the project) on the perspectives homepages I have always the same redirect to the mainperspective of the project everywhere in the menus I link to the gm-... startpages, whilst the site-title (respectively a hover-flipping logo) links to the parspective I just develop a portal-demonstration and the theme and themeoptions on my own website so I do need more careful setting on perspectives - and learn more about perspectives -> how to use, for what to use and what needs to be extended I think perspectives are a very great thing and the perspectives redirect is very useful - a perspective control (like theme control) would bring the possibilities to a wast extend	[11:40]
Merbster	fabricius, I am not sure what you mean by perspective control, but there's a plugin that handles the user's change of perspective ? fabricius, and I wrote something about changing perspective based on the current page's category and category placement (does the containing category have a special plce in the category hirearchy etc). chibaguy	oh, well, there are some settings you can change, for the pixel dimensions of the video, but not the compression factor, I think. Some videos I've done (from old Hi8 tapes) showed a lot of compression artifacts at 640x480 so I had to reduce the output size to 320x240 to get a decent-looking video.	[14:10]
