You need to ask someone who either knows the designed behavior or someone who has it working on their site, I would say.
Yeah, Merbster. I think even if some option causes them to be created, they should be visible to admin in the gallery list. So it must be a bug. Merbster: any of you guys have experience including modules in smarty templates that are saved as wikipages?

(assuming you are using xdebug) chibaguy: Ah, it's when wiki attachments is turned on. Merbster: chibaguy, would make sense that it uses the filegallery to store the attachments?
allthough if you didn't attach anuything I fail to see the point :P chibaguy: Yes, I set it to use the directory for file storage, but afaik in the past it would use the "system" gallery (Id=0) maybe, or anyway a common gallery for all attachments, not one per page.

It would be really good to get the InnoDB functionality in there jonnyb: you know :)
is it safe (i.e. optional)? arildb: jonnyb: Yes, the user can choose engine type at (re)install time jonnyb: cool - you can switch an existing db? arildb: jonnyb: Not an existing one, but the choice is there for clean installs jonnyb: fair enough (thought that would be tricky!) arildb: not sure how it behaves with data. So, only for clean installs for now
it would not be much work to make a convert procedure, but much more difficult to test jonnyb: good idea to get some testing - should be able to get it merged before we branch arildb: yes
but the 2 remaining points need to be solved jonnyb: indeed
what are the real benefits of innodb with tiki as it is? arildb: 1. crash safe and 2. row locking. No FKs are used. So, no referential integrity at the moment. Also no multi-statement transactions added, though the support is there chealer: hi arildb. was the problem with tiki_user_bookmarks_folders reported? arildb: chealer: I mentioned it in mail, but not otherwise jonnyb: ok, 1 and 2 are Good Things - but i don't fancy having to write stuff twice for with and without arildb: chealer: chealer: The problem is similar to the one with the acounting table you did earlier
jonnyb: There are minimal changes to tiki.sql. I think that all things should be identical otherwise...but should be run a bit to verify it. jonnyb: i guess new features could depend on it if needed (it's a pref yes?) arildb: jonnyb: only MySQL fulltext search, as far as I know
I am not very familiar with these dependencies. So, would be good with a little help to get it done jonnyb: ok, but later - i should get back to my timelines chealer: jonnyb: it's not a preference jonnyb: was just thinking it might be handy to be able to find out easily in the code... one day
not important chealer: arildb: there are some fake preferences like php_libxml to do that (see lib/setup/prefs.php)
arildb: it's not great practice, but you wouldn't be the first... arildb: chealer: I have added a call in the installlib.php to get the currently installed engine. Perhaps the "MySQL Fulltext search" feature could check using that?
...or better call a function which uses that. InnoDB may introduce fulltext search in MySQL 5.6 chealer: arildb: what's the function name? arildb: chealer: getCurrentEngine chealer: arildb: is that committed or you mean you have it locally? arildb: chealer should be in experimental/innodb ***: radek82 has quit IRC (Quit: Leaving) chealer: arildb: oh. pardon the brain please, I'm stuck with it arildb: :-) chealer: arildb: absolutely, that could do if it's moved to be available out of the installer arildb: chealer: It assumes to be inheriting from TikiDb_Bridge. So, maybe a similar class would be a better host?
...or TikiDb_Bridge itself?
chealer: getCurrentEngine is not used by the install procedure. I added it to support the Fulltext feature check. So, it can be moved without problems chealer: arildb: oh. then you could put it in lib/setup/prefs.php, otherwise maybe in tikilib arildb: chealer: Your call chealer: arildb: I don't want to be held liable ;-)
arildb: it will be fine if it's in prefs.php :-) arildb: chealer: I assume TikiDb_Bridge is available there
chealer: Do you have time to do the move + possibly look at the missing points? Would be great to get it done and included in the 8.0 branch chealer: arildb: no time to move the function. I'm looking at the table issue arildb: chealer: good. Let me look at the move
chealer: The move fails, because the call tableExists exists in installlib. The call seems general to me. Maybe I should move it to TikiDb_Bridge? ...or I could copy the small code to the getCurrentEngine CIA-12: tikiwiki: 03chealer * r37299 10/trunk/ (2 files in 2 dirs):
tikiwiki: [FIX] tiki_user_bookmarks_folders definition for strict SQL mode ("Incorrect table definition; there can be only one auto column and it must be defined as a key", from r28)
tikiwiki: Thanks Arild Berg chealer: arildb: I don't think moving to TikiDb_Bridge would help. arildb: chealer: yes, it didn't seem to fit there. chealer: arildb: you could, or I think you could just remove the if
arildb: perhaps replace "if ( $result ) {" with "if ( $result && $res = $result->fetchRow()) {" arildb: chealer: yes, but the call would fail if the database was not installed.....but it would be anyhow at that time, I guess
chealer: yes, I'll do that chealer: I think that will return an empty string in any case RobertPlummer: Who has Doctrine expertise?
all^ chealer: arildb: I fixed the bookmarks table issue, thanks
RobertPlummer: I think Louis-Philippe knows about it arildb: chealer: yes, I saw that. Thanks. I'll integrate it in the experimental/innodb branch chealer: arildb: good. try merging regularly BTW, otherwise it will be painful! arildb: chealer: ok. Thought I would get all the parts in first. New commit coming soon. After that only the check in features for innodb (to disable MySQL fulltext) chealer: arildb: just to be clear, I meant merging the changes on trunk to the innodb branch. arildb: chealer: right
I haven't done any of that yet. Your change will be the first chealer: arildb: oh, but there are semi-automatic tools to merge which you should use... arildb: chealer: I am not aware of those chealer: arildb: if you look at http://tikiwiki.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/tikiwiki/branches/experimental/ you'll see that a large proportion of the commits on experimental branches are just to keep synchronized with trunk. arildb: chealer: ok...just completing the latest commit first.... chealer: arildb: see http://dev.tiki.org/SVNTips#Experimental_branches arildb: chealer: will do CIA-12: tikiwiki: 03arildb * r37300 10/branches/experimental/innodb/ (4 files in 3 dirs):
