ah - tell me pls
Merbster: fabricius, problem is, tiki_objects is used. So there's an entry created in tiki_objects that refers to the itemId.
So it's the tiki_object that is categorized in tiki_category_objects

coaboa: Merbster: is it true that tik build for every category db request a md5 to use as key? wouldn't it make sense to store those values ina table rather than recalulate those with every request?
*tiki *in a
Merbster: coaboa, I have not seen any MD5s used in caategorizing objects
coaboa, but either way, if you are using MD5 as a key, generated from an object you'd have to generate the value to even look it up?
You can't look up a value without having it on hand and telling the DB what to look for :P
coaboa: $category_objectid = md5("category" . $category_id);
which (as of one of our devs (with not that much tiki experience) is a huge waste on performance
Merbster: coaboa, I can't find anything in the category tables that uses and MD5 sum.
But I am not sure. Maybe the MD5 sum is used elsewhere in tiki code to compare if two objects are equal, I would expect MD5 generated on the same object will be equal, but you have to refer to md5 docs to be certain
Basically I dislike the idea of using Md5 sums as keys as there is a very, very, very small chance there will be colliding values
(but small chance is still more than no chance)
coaboa: yes that an other ting my brother pointed out that md5 might not be unique enough to be used as unque key ;-)
*thing
Merbster: most DBs have functionality to generate globally unique keys
But you ahve to make huuuge systems. I have always just used an int (or bigint) column.
but again it doesn't LOOK like the md5 sum is used in hte database (or atleast stored there in any of the category tables) but it might be used for something different.
coaboa, but. if your tiki is not slow, don't fix it

arildb: chealer: Got it going using a different method (merging 2 different trees). ...exciting, since I have never done this before. Hope I don't f* up too much
I assume that it's possible to recover any revision from SVN, if worse comes to worse
CIA-12: tikiwiki: 03mlustenberg * r37458 10/trunk/lib/parser/parserlib.php:
tikiwiki: [MOD] parserlib: use the "background-color" style tag to define the background color instead of the none specific "background" tag.
tikiwiki: This change is required for the Visual Wiki (ohterwise the background color cannot be manipulated using the UI of the CKE).
chealer: arildb: it is
arildb: but diff should be able to tell you what will happen
CIA-12: tikiwiki: 03gta74 * r37459 10/trunk/lang/de/language.php: [TRA] some translations
arildb: chealer: I am syncing the trees now. Still waiting for the result
chealer: will certainly do a diff afterwards, before proceeding

sylvieg: how do I add a js script before the boduy abd not after?
chealer: hi sylvieg. if you don't mind, why?
sylvieg: supose I have tio use <script in the header.tpl..
trying to debug why somethjing is not working
and I was using herderlib->add_jsfile..
***: RobertPlummer has joined #tikiwiki
chealer: sylvieg: oh. I'm not aware that headerlib allows that.
sylvieg: I put directly the <script and it is ok... thx chealer
btw : has somebody a facebook like button working with sefurl
if in the facebook like generator, I type http:/mysite.com/tiki-read_article.php?articleId=2 it is ok - but if I use http://mysite.com/article2 afcebook forgot article2 :-(
luciash: hi sylvieg, i don't understand the problem... we use facebook like button with sefurl
sylvieg: do you have a link?
luciash: sylvieg: on http://ntdtv.cz
we use it on wiki pages though, if that matters
rodrigo_sampaio: lphuberdeau: with the new comment system there is no way to create a link that points directly to a specific comment in the list (I've checked only the comment list for tracker items), right?
luciash: olá rodrigo
sylvieg: luciash: I am using the fb version of teh like button perhaps it is the problem...
luciash: sylvieg: wanna the code i put in custom code ?
sylvieg: yes thx
rodrigo_sampaio: ahoj luciash :)
CIA-12: tikiwiki: 03sampaioprimo * r37463 10/trunk/lib/userslib.php: [FIX] string should be translatable

tikiwiki: 03chealer * r37473 10/trunk/ (lib/setup/language.php tiki-switch_lang.php): move language check from lib/setup/language.php to tiki-switch_language.php so that it actually runs.
chealer: arildb: looks like the result is good, but the merge was hard? ;-)
arildb: chealer: The merge did not work quite the way I wanted. Fortunately there were few files, and no other updates to the files, so it went quite smooth anyhow. At least I learnt a couple of steps not to take next time.
chealer: arildb: oh, OK. well done in the end!
arildb: thanks. Hope I got everything, and that it works KO. Still one thing pending which LP said he would look at

arildb: lphuberdeau: As you may have seen InnoDB is now merged into trunk. There one issue pending with the config search, which you mentioned you would look at. Additionally: I have only tested with the web installer. According to the page Database Schema Upgrade, database updates can also be done 1. From command line, by running installer/shell.php and 2. From command line, by running doc/devtools/sqlupgrade.php (supports MultiTiki). I have not testet either
of these.

CIA-12: tikiwiki: 03chealer * r37478 10/trunk/lib/setup/ (language.php wiki.php): [REF] The switchLang parameter is no longer used (tiki-switch_lang.php replaces)
nkoth|nelson: chealer: this switchLang parameter
was it working?
I remember using it on a site before....
very convenient compared to tiki-switch_lang.php
chealer: arildb: if you want the conversion of FULLTEXT keys to work for existing installs, the keys in existing installs need to be renamed (with a schema upgrade patch)
nkoth|nelson: it was handled, but not used
arildb: chealer: I just changed that. See r37477 ..a couple of minutes ago
chealer: arildb: oh, OK
nkoth|nelson: chealer, I'm afraid people with sites that uses it (the link) will miss it. It seems like a useful feature
chealer: nkoth|nelson: what is the feature?
***: arildb has quit IRC (Quit: Leaving)
nkoth|nelson: for example, if on one wiki page I want to link to another page, might not even be a wiki page, could be a forum or whatever, and there are 2 links, one of it for English , one for French
***: redflo has left
nkoth|nelson: chealer, but I agree that if it's undocumented feature it's not useful, no one will find it
sylvieg: doc was somewhere at a time
still worinking in 6 - I think
chealer: nkoth|nelson: right... so depending on which link you click you change your language preference permanently ?
hi sylvieg
nkoth|nelson: chealer, yes, that is the feature. I remember it being on one or two of my sites, can't remember which one though - I suppose if it goes missing when I upgrade I will find out...
lol ((but may not be funny then)
sylvieg: everything is in lib/setup/language.php - should be easy to debug
nkoth|nelson: aha chealer: http://doc.tiki.org/i18n+Admin
under Goodies, it is mentioned...
