jonnyb: hi Merbster - sorry, i don't do LDAP

jonnyb: i see killianebel edited it 10 months ago on the url you mentioned
ricks99: Q: do we have a 7.2 yet?
Merbster: sylvieg, I have it running now, but only after hacking in the regex contained in the old revision shown in that link I just posted
it's the ONLY difference. and it works with æ,ø,å with it. but not without it. I don't understand regex.

SJ-Jay: lphuberdeau, i'm trying to replace TRACKERLIST with LIST instead.. but could you guide me in the right direction?
lphuberdeau: so you have the unified search index built? that is step 1
SJ-Jay: yeah i do :)
lphuberdeau: good
SJ-Jay: but i think we carcked it
cracked*
just about to test
oh yeah.. how do i "style" the output from the list?
lphuberdeau: just start small and increment one block at a time
SJ-Jay: with trackerlist i just define which fields i want to be shown
lphuberdeau: check out the documentation for the table format
you can also use a custom template
SJ-Jay: didn't work :(
i'm trying to create a mini blog.. combining a tracker plugin with the list plugin in a module
lphuberdeau: pretty sure I had the table format working, because I copied that example from my local tests
SJ-Jay: i haven't done the template part yet.. is it necessary?
lphuberdeau: template=table ?
SJ-Jay: yeah
lphuberdeau: yes, otherwise you won't get a table
SJ-Jay: ok.. so i'll just create a wiki page and use HTML to style the table?
lphuberdeau: and all those columns you define are meaningless without the table template
the table template is a built-in template that builds a table that looks like a normal table in tiki
SJ-Jay: ah ok.. now i understand it
i thought i had to create a template page like pretty trackers
Merbster: after upgrading to tiki 8 SVN I get an error stating that Zend_Filter_Interface is not found in /lib/core/DeclFilter.php
the DeclFilter class implements that interface
lphuberdeau: try svn status to see if there is anything gone wrong
SJ, LIST allows you to use a custom template, but that's not related to the TABLE portion of the documentation
and at this time, it's only physical templates, not wiki pages as template
SJ-Jay: ok..
but.. i'm still confused! can't figure out what to do here..
with trackerlist i could display the created date
do i have to add a date tracker field when using list if i want to show and sort by date?
wow.. i think i have to read the documentation a bit more before i continue..
lphuberdeau: I don't think the creation date is being indexed right now, you do have modification_date however
SJ-Jay: modification_date will do!
so i start with {filter type=trackeritem}
then {OUTPUT(template="table")}
Merbster: It seems wiki argument variable parsing has been moved away from /lib/tikilib.php Sombody knows where it ended up?
Or can someone teach me how I can find out myself?
lphuberdeau: lib/parser/parserlib.php
SJ-Jay: i then need to list the trackerfields in the table..
i have a text area and a name
lphuberdeau: SJ, start with something simple, display the title or something like that
SJ-Jay: furthermore i want the mod date to be show
Merbster: lphuberdeau, thank you very much sir!
SJ-Jay: lphuberdeau, ok i'll start simple
at least i'm not getting errors now
and something is showing! although it looks like crap :P
coaboa|afk: hi: try to use an itemId for a button but the description taken from doc.tiki.org/pluginbutton leads to an error: the $ gets repleced with %24 Any Hint?
*replaced
SJ-Jay: hmm.. i'm really missing some screenshots at the documentation..
i can't figure out how to extract my tracker fields in the columns
lphuberdeau: tracker_field_X
there is even an example of table format using a tracker field
chealer: polom
Merbster: coaboa|afk, sounds like the $ is being url encoded a place where it shouldn't
SJ-Jay: that i know.. but it's the entire line.. like {column sort="modified_date" label="Text" field="tracker_field_X"}
***: coaboa|afk is now known as coaboa
lphuberdeau: {column label="something" field=tracker_field_42}
***: DanMan1234 has left
SJ-Jay: ok got that..
lphuberdeau: you need to add sort if you want the column sortable
you can also have more advanced formatting by defining new fields using {FORMAT}
SJ-Jay: let's just start by showing some results.. i think this is advanced enought at this time :P
got "No results for query"
but at least no error
so must be on right track
lphuberdeau: must be something about the filtering rules
if you skip the output part, it will display a simple list of results
SJ-Jay: my filter rules looks like this: {filter type=trackeritem} {filter content=26 field=tracker_id}
i checked that the tracker ID is correct
Merbster: how do I get an instance of ointegrate?
do I have to use tikilib factory method?
lphuberdeau: SJ looks strange, try skipping the type part
SJ-Jay: ok i'll swip that
swipe
that worked!
***: Tiki|bot has quit IRC (Ping timeout: 240 seconds)

SJ-Jay: yeah exactly
what i was about to ask :)

how do i set the output of the date in another format? right now it is showing: 20110928144312

SJ-Jay: hmm.. one field is not showing
text area
lphuberdeau: you might need to run that one through {FORMAT}
some internal detail about the data of those not being stored in the index, so the list needs to know to fetch it

lphuberdeau: but I did fix the category field yesterday to apply the default selection
Merbster: lphuberdeau, what defines the default selection?
lphuberdeau: category jail is the default selection
Merbster: So it should just categorize tracker items in the correct category if there's a jail applied?
or should we setup a specific parameter for the tracker plugin?

arildb: for js encoding functions: Is $headerlib->add_js in tiki-setup.php the place to put them?
chealer: hi arildb. I guess tiki-js.js is the JavaScript equivalent to TikiLib for PHP
arildb: thanks chealer
Merbster: lphuberdeau, which files do I need to redownload to get the auto-categorization? is it just the tracker field php file?
chealer: arildb: note that there is no need to put "tiki" in the function's name, and it would be good to document what type of coding the functions deal with, and perhaps hint to that type in the function's name.
jonnyb: hi arildb - both tiki-js.js and tiki-jquery.js are included in all pages, tiki-js.js was there from before jquery arrived, now they're fairly mixed up (could do with refactoring of course!)
hi chealer
chealer: hi jonnyb
jonnyb: i've always put new stuff in tiki-jquery.js and have been meaning to modernise and clean tiki-js.js (there's lots of cruft in there)
arildb: jonnyb: So, I should use tiki-jquery.js, I guess

is this only for wysiwyg?
i guess not...
***: luciash has joined #tikiwiki

arildb: jonnyb: I am not sure if it's only for wysiwyg. It's where en/decodeURIComponent and en/decodeURI are used
jonnyb: indeed - could be anywhere
Merbster: lphuberdeau, nevermind I found out
arildb: so, maybe good names would be en/decodeLink (for en/decodeURI wrapper) and en/decodeContent for (en/decodeURIComponent)
jonnyb: arildb: if you comment it as being new for tiki 8 it could go in tiki-js.js (and we'll clean it out later! :) )
chealer: arildb: if I remember correctly, if they're wrappers to workaround encoding bugs with the WYSIWYG editor, I hope they will only be used there.
arildb: {en,de}code*Content* or *Component*?
arildb: chealer: yes, they are wrappers to fix bugs. jonnyb: ok, so I will put it in tiki-js.js and make comments
chealer: en/decodeContent for the wrapper
I cannot use the same name as the javascript function
jonnyb: they're to replace escape and unescape which are deprecated, right? (but the replacements don't work properly)
arildb: chealer: You have had some questions about what is being encoded. POST operations are being done and they encode a lot more than just the URI
chealer: arildb: I find "content" vague. if they're fallback wrappers for {en,de}codeURI[Component](), they could be named tiki_{en,de}codeURI[Component]() then so the function is clear (the "tiki_" prefix to avoid confusion and conflict)
arildb: jonnyb: I will first replace the existing en/decodeURIComponent calls. The unescape calls are "fallback" currently. Hopefully this fallback won't be used.
jonnyb: sounds good
arildb: ok, I will use the javascript function names with the tiki_ prefix
chealer: arildb: hum, I see
***: ricks99 has left
jonnyb: tiki_prefix for this sounds sensible
chealer: arildb: well, if they're not just used for the purpose of the stock JavaScript functions, I guess you're in a better position than me to choose their name

luciash: fabricius: hi, in theory: you check the category in smarty and if it matches you add custom div with custom class around the #main using the Layout Shadows feature... then in your CSS you add that class e.g. .cat1 #moduleblahblah .box-data {background-color: #ccc}
fabricius: or you could put that all in custom HTML HEAD in <style type="text/css">{literal}...{/literal}</style> directly
fabricius: don't ask me how you check for category in smarty ;)

tikiwiki: [FIX] Added wrappers for en/decodeURI and en/decodeURIComponent. Wrappers are now used instead of the direct javascript calls.
tikiwiki: Fixed coding issues in tiki-auto_save.php
tikiwiki: - Was not encoding reply. Caused failured in javascript.
tikiwiki: - No longer decodes entire referer, only the page name.
tikiwiki: - Decoding uses rawurldencode, which should match the encoding
tikiwiki: toWikiFormat now again uses decodeURIComponent (see: previous comment about breaking wiki syntax). Hopefully OK now.

arildb: Hi chealer. So, is the big release still on for tomorrow? What's being released btw? 6.5, 7.2 and 8.0 branched?
chealer: hi arildb. 7.2. it shouldn't be too big :-)
we may have a 6.5 but there is more reviewing work (quality team) needed
arildb: chealer, ok. What about the 8 branch?
chealer: arildb: as for 8.0, we still need to meet to finalize the schedule
arildb: chealer, right
chealer: arildb: so it's just 7.2 for now, and it should be tomorrow if changi|ffa is available
arildb: chealer, my initial tests after the latest encoding update look really good. I believe the big problem was that the reply from PHP was not encoded.
chealer: (he's the only one on the packaging team)
arildb: great. that sort of issue is about what I expected (although my picture is very vague). really happy if you managed to solve that (I let your commit aside for review later)
it's unfortunate we don't have more WYSIWYG experts (Jonny is the main guy and busy these days)
arildb: BTW, I was planning to go test 7.x on Windows before 7.2, but I don't know if I'll manage to do that in time now
arildb: I'm planning to upload 7.2 to the Web Application Gallery
(Windows/IIS)
arildb: chealer, I think wysiwyg is starting to look good. The formatting is better, now international characters should work. Unless some side-effects come up the status may be quite good
chealer, I don't think I will have time to help you out on that one. I am heading on a business trip on friday, and I have lots of things to do before then
chealer: arildb: all right
arildb: it's interesting to hear WYSIWYG is looking so good. did you look at plugins?
arildb: chealer, no my tests have been very limited so far, but the things that previously had problem now all seem to work
