New Forum Posts: Plugins in Data Channels - http://tiki.org/tiki-view_forum_thread.php?forumId=4&comments_parentId=42398 chealer: it could trigger other events in chain, defined in lib/setup/events.php, e.g. i think of triggering update_areas that way or something else useful after creating or removing a category as i understand it right, in that file you can combine all events with theoretically any function in the libs, so very mighty, but the event triggers have to dive up somewhere in the code oeversetten: I think we should only do changes in 8.x if they will have an impact on Tiki 8. If there would be a use to doing that, it's probably reasonable. it's what we would do with the event that matters. then trunk it is, but tomorrow or the next days, good night i've got a calendar module enabled and showing for my admin user, but not or an editor or registered user.. which permission might i be missing? salamandyr: is the module assigned to a group to which the problematic users belong? it's assigned to the left sidebar? lemme check how does one assign a module to a group? i've got permissions for the group level set appropriately on global permissions salamandyr: it's not a permissions thing. each module has a setting to control which groups view it (seen in Admin Modules) salamandyr: which Tiki version do you use? great thanks 6.2 salamandyr: before Tiki 7, modules show to Admins if you didn't select any group. salamandyr: but except for admins, if you want the module to display, you need to select groups gotcha thanks just auto-installed it.. sussing it out and once it gets working well i'll prob upgrade to a 7.x branch but i'm pretty happy with it so far: nfbresearch.com although not much shows to non registered user salamandyr: did you install from the Web Application Gallery? salamandyr: right. by default the only permission given to Anonymous is tiki_p_view, which is only for Wiki pages. ya, fantastico installed i do enable article viewing but not the sidebars, etc what does since-last-visit do for anon users? track by user, or just list same for everyone? oh nm, only shows for registered, regardless. any want to short the month display in the calender module from full to abbreviated name? oh nm.. was a font issue not the sizing of the word. tikiwiki: 03chealer * r37985 10/trunk/_htaccess: tikiwiki: [FIX] Do not process typos like tiki-indexx.php as AJAX calls (r36594 regression) tikiwiki: [REF] Cleanup and improve instructions to administrators tikiwiki: 03chealer * r37986 10/branches/8.x/_htaccess: [FIX] Do not process typos like tiki-indexx.php as AJAX calls (partial backport of r37985) polom Goodmorning good morning Merbster :) Have to go to work now. I hope, that I get time to start the doc "how to structure a Tiki site" tonight fabricius, have a nice day :) polom from a rainy afternoon in chiba, japan To switch a tiki branch7 to branch8, would the command be "svn switch https://tikiwiki.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/tikiwiki/branches/8.x"? well, I'll try that. chibaguy, Also raining here, Aarhus Denmark ;) that time of year, I guess. it was a wet summer in japan, due to large typhoons, etc. chibaguy, we have rain all year around. Even in the winters we get rain instead of snow sometimes atleast Merbster, do you get tired of the rain, or depressed? chibaguy, I think this saying is very correct; there's no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing ;) :-) I think so maybe also: no such thing as bad weather, only bad attitude. ;-) Yes :P I'd like to see the nature of Japan though. yeah, it's nice. I have seen the nordic nature quite a bit. I could imagine japans being quite different Does Tiki 8 SVN use smarty 3 ? I think so. ok. so there's some issues with " " around some of the arguments for wikiplugins Yeah, the readme in tiki 8 lib/smarty says smarty 3.0.9 I wonder what the problem is when I do a tiki install (svn checkout) and run setup .sh but after the install screens, it refreshes to tiki-install.php instead if the index. instead of the index. A similar installation went smoothly on the same server. new installation, so I guess I'll wipe it and try again. yay, second time, it works fine. chibaguy, have you tried to use the wikiplugin just called "List" ? we just recently set it up to sort out values based on categories. It worked on our dev server last week. but when we moved the setup to our production server, that runs same version of Tiki8 SVN. it doesn't work Merbster, sorry, no, I haven't used it. are your server configurations the same? hey chiba yup.. both servers are identical we regulary move the production servers wwwroot files and database to the dev server, and then upgrade to test if new versions are compatible with our tiki morning all we will move back to trackerlist.. pluginlist is just to buggy atm hi all, hi Bernard1 gaxweb: congrat for your first commit ! ;) thanks :) morning Bernard1 and gaxweb morning Merbster hi SJ-Jay and all Hi chibaguy , Bernard1, and gaxweb arildb: About notitle=y displaying the title, i had a similar problem with trunk and sitemycode. I'm checking now with last update and 8.x Bernard1: OK is it possible to show the categories inside of the menu? the whole tree? dynamically, so you don't have to manually keep them in sync? gaxweb, you could write a simple wikiplugin that lists the categories. and then include it as a toolbar? arildb: ok here what i have for sitemycode; gaxweb, I don't know if there is built in functionality to handle listing of categories. i see with notitle=y under, 6x, 6p and 7 the tab containing the title AND
