chibaguymarkdoe: I'm finding tiki 8 (so far) doesn't necessarily work in server configurations that tiki 7 is ok with. For custom modules to work at a hosted domain, in Tiki 7 I need a php.ini modification to enable the eval function. But this php.ini causes the install loop in Tiki 8.
I don't yet know of a fix for custom modules to work in Tiki 8 when the hosting company doesn't enable eval. The fixes for Tiki 7 don't work in Tiki 8.
The hosting co. people aren't Smarty or Tiki experts so can't help, it seems. 		[03:28]

chibaguyI have a tiki 8 site where "{wikiplugin _name="img" fileId="$user_picture_id"}{/wikiplugin}" in tiki-user_information.tpl causes the HTML code to display rather than the image. Is this a known problem in branch 8?
I mean a change in the behavior of {wikiplugin} in .tpl files, from 7 to 8. 		[11:50]

chibaguyIt drives me crazy when I make a change in a .tpl file and no amount of cache flushing or browser restarting will show the new file being used, like Tiki could go on for a week using file versions that no longer exist. OTOH the other day I made a simple syntax error editing a wiki page and it caused a system error 'check db connection, repair tables, etc.'. :-|

shaun_I have an issue when a user tries to register to the wiki. I have it configured to require validation from the admin. when i do this, the link says "incorrect password". am i missing a step? When i check the logs after attempting to log in as the new registered user, the password that i set durring the registration process also seems incorrect. Tiki logs show a successfull bind, and no error messages are reflecting bad credentials [17:23]
